Not only are they cold and rude with the new pets that come into the clinic, but them being completely closed over the lunch hour and beyond is NOT conducive to customer schedules. They don’t care though, they somehow have a contract with Petland, which blows my mind because they don’t care about animals, are rough with them and speak poorly about the pets and their owners behind closed doors. If you love your pet, I wouldn’t bring them here.

Wow...is all I can say. My son dropped his dog off at this place early in the am to be spayed and some shots etc. He borrowed my car so I had no car. His dog just had surgery a month ago and was told she needed to be spayed to prevent the condition from reoccurring. So we took it to this place because it was close to his home. I was paying for this visit because my son has no income right now. So, I called the office to see how much it was going to cost and spoke with a young male receptionist. He quoted me a price and I questioned it because I thought it was rather high and overpriced. I told him I thought that price was crazy because I had heard some places charge $50. I found out later that the rates are $50 to $400 so they do charge on the high end. He asked if I wanted to take the dog somewhere else and since I did not have a car and the dog was already there I agreed to go ahead and have it done. My co-workers heard my entire conversation. I never raised my voice or anything like that. But come to find out the office called my son and told him they would not tolerate my behavior saying I dropped the f bomb and called the receptionist a horrible name? I was in shock and so were my co-workers. That was a flat out LIE and I am very offended. I swear upon God that no such thing occurred in that conversation. I know the Dr. wants to believe their employees but he LIED and exaggerated the whole phone conversation and I am VERY offended. All because I questioned the price. I also found out that the dog had already been spayed sometime in her life. So everyone was telling me the Vet should not have charged me full price because all she did was provide anesthesia, make an incision and then sew the laceration back up. She did not surgically perform a spay. But, I was not about to call back and ask for a discount sine the Employee already exaggerated and lied. I feel like I deserve an apology . as he maligned and slandered my character. What a horrible experience!! We NOT be taking our animal back and I will warn everyone I know about this place! Please if you value your loved one, do not take them to this place where people LIE. I feel like I need to pursue slander charges. Lesson learned after spending an enormous amount of money.

Took my newly adopted dog here twice at the beginning of the year. The first visit wasn’t too bad but the second time they showed no sympathy/patience to my dog who was nervous and needed training at the time. Ended up dragging him inside after I muzzled him and then he pooped all over himself from being so scared. When they brought him out to me they had a rude attitude towards me and told me the way he was acting was completely unacceptable and he needed better training. I ended up taking my dog to a different vet afterwards and they treated him with a lot more patience and they were able to give him a complete check up with no issues and he was calm. So yes my dog needed more training on my end but he also needed more patience/kindness on their end. I would never go back to this vet.

Doctor, she is the best love how she handles my crazy little dog!! She has been his Doctor since he was a little puppy!! I will definitely recommend everyone who care fore their dog to go to Animal health center. Very friendly staff and caring 😁👍

Do not bring your pet here. She is concerned about money, not the health of your pet. I was just charged $90 for a yearly rabies vaccine. When I expressed surprise at the cost, I was told the shot was 30, the exam was 60. I said I did not ask for an exam, only the shot, she said she couldn't give a shot without an exam. BTW, the " exam" consisted of the "Dr" asking me how my dog was doing and did I have any concerns. I should have known better because this is the same Dr who diagnosed a lump on my dog's leg as carcinoma and recommended amputation. I couldn't afford it, so I left it alone. It went away. That was five years ago. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

First time coming here and I really liked the staff......we had just gotten our puppy and he wouldnt eat that morning and they made 2 attempts to call me and follow up when I missed their call on a Friday they called again on Monday. Showed they really cared about the well being of my little guy!!! I feel like the dr was very knowledgeable as well sonit was a win-win! I would recommend!!!

Animal Health Care Center Of Wichita is the best place to take any animal for all health care needs. The staff is friendly & professional they take time to answer any questions & concerns about after care, procedures & all things one might need to know. The prices for services are excellent & I am 100% satisfied with the expert services I have received for my 4-legged family members.

Dr. Steineker is educated, experienced and compassionate. The staff is always friendly and helpful, they know their regulars and treat you and your pets respectfully. We’ve always received treatment options, recommendations, and associated (reasonable) costs to make best decisions.

We have always had an excellent experience with AHC. Doctor Steinker is very knowledgeable, plus their staff rocks! Her bedside manner is professinal and accommodating and they are reasonably priced. I highly recommend AHC.

Animal Health Center did a great job with my two pits. One was having some scratching and chewing issues and the other just needed her annual check up. The visit was fast and affordable. All of the staff was friendly and helpful.

Hasn't been good place to take my pets..Been using them for 3 yrs the outcome for my pets has not been good.. Please take time to read the reviews and make your own determination..

I wish i could do 0 stars. my dog just had surgery, and was very obviously sick and the front desk lady was dismissive and rude. DO NOT go here. and they’re soooo expensive. luckily i got into a vet and my dog had a fever and an infection (probably from the surgery AHS did) she could have died. they didn’t want to see her until thursday. I went to a different vet and got her treated within 30 minutes.

They did such a good, efficient and affordable spay for my bunny, making sure to accommodate us sooner in their schedule too. ALWAYS get your bunny fixed! Female rabbits have a 65-75% chance of developing uterine or ovarian cancer by age 5. Plus once fixed, a rabbit can be completely litter box trained like a cat! They will stop marking their territory and they will be a lot healthier in general.

We had been going there for many years, but do to increasing hidden prices and their inability to explain why they lost our business. Paid $75 up front for a teeth cleaning and then they increaased the price without telling us! No more getting price gouged for sure.

Very nice people and our pets are always taken care of.
