So, I recently just got a membership here and let me tell you.. Brooklyn, who I believe is the assistant manager seriously needs a raise. Had it not been for her enthusiastic, cheerful, and so personable personality, I probably wouldn’t have left my other gym for these guys. They have a variety of equipment to use and many other perks that come with my membership! I don’t want to spoil it, but if you don’t have one with genesis yet, you’re definitely missing out. To Brooklyn, thank you for being such an amazing person and hooking me up!!!

The facility is clean, equipment well maintained. The locker room is spacious, good lighting, and comfortable. The staff is friendly and willing to help. My experience in the health club is always positive. Also, the new manager, Nick, is very helpful and responsive in expediting the resolution of a refund issue that had been hung up the the accounting and managing system for a couple months. Thank you.

Upon my visitation of the Genesis Health Clubs over on 13th and rock road I was greeted with arrays of bliss and kindness by Staff on entrance into the facility. The friendliness, and the absolute positive vibes and energy that where impressed upon me was a refreshing and overall wonderful experience. I was given a tour of the facilities and was impressed with the cleanliness, fantastic organization of work out equipment, and machines. The demeanor and professionalism of the staff have my hope and inspiration that I would be able to meet my workout, health, and fitness goals. They made me feel like a member of the Genesis Health Club family and strength and encouragement where given to me that I too could meet my weight loss and health related goals. The overall experience was fabulous and I will surely be back to work out at Genesis. This location is where it's at, where things are popping and one of the best places to go and get your work out on.

An awesome Gym! This gym has it all, from an indoor track, to a pool and crossfit section. If you're looking for a great gym with a little bit of everything, Genesis is what you're looking for! My brother and I come every year when we come to visit Kansas, and we always get an amazing workout! Definitely one of my favorite gyms of all time!

These people are tyrants, they lie and harrass you when trying to cancel a membership, they absolutely will not cancel it! even with proof that one of there representative's had stated in (email) that your membership is officially canceled. Prepare to have your entire life consumed by these people, they will call 3-5 times a day including work, if you tell them to cease and desist they bombard you with text messages from 5am-8pm, I have received 73 calls and text messages since October. -10 out of 10.

Locker rooms usually dirty and filled with old guys washing their balls in the sink for no discernible reason. There are no stands holding the cleaning spray, so the bottles just end up all over the place. The staff are pretty much taught to interact with everyone like they are geriatric. I see the personal trainers telling people to walk around the track carrying like 5 or 10 pound weights. Like, that's not a farmer carry, you're just walking with a tiny bit of added weight. At the end of the day though, it's a gym with a daycare I guess. RIP optilife

The sales reps for this gym are literal scam artists. I came in town looking for a short term gym membership and came to this location because I didn’t know of any other ones existed. I was basically talked into paying around $150 to workout there for 6 weeks. Come to find out today at a different location that I could have paid $24 to workout at one spot (which is a way better location btw), but that was never explained as an option by the sales reps at Rock Road. Horrible customer service, and really skeezy business dealings. I’d ask for a refund since I never even ended up using this location, but I know they’d just hide behind contract lingo. Go literally anywhere else besides this location if you want honest sales people.

Genesis here on Rock Road has a super above and beyond staff. Everyone is friendly, smiling, knows you by name after just a couple of weeks (which is impressive), engaging, fun and motivating. The gym is well designed and organized. The equipment is functional and unique. Although it doesn't have all the possible features it still has plentiful enough to get a great workout in. At this time, the facility is undergoing certain remodeling and upgrades which I am very excited to see as this gym has had the same layout for years. Out of all the Genesis in the Wichita area, this is one is by far my favorite for the staff and steam room. The steam room is a wonderful way to relax. The locker rooms are clean and have lockers that lock without having to bring your own lock which is a bonus in my opinion. This is a family and children friendly environment. Great for all ages and types of people. Thank you to the team for making it special.

An overzealous but poorly trained personal trainer approached me as I was walking to the recumbent bikes and told me I was walking the wrong way. He said the directions changed alternating days. We do that so you won’t over use your hip. I just turned around and went the longer way around to the bikes. Here is my concern. Your trainer never inquired on whether i was walking the track or simply using it to get to a specific place I. The gym. As a disabled person who engages in fitness. It is best to take the route shortest to get to the exercises indicated for you. The problem with your staff is his over surveillance doesn’t take that into consideration. Then he tried to get my attention as he showed me proof of the tracks direction. It was over kill , inappropriately done and not considerate of the other personal accommodation -I had a right to take. Now this feedback will poss him off because he didn’t like that I wanted no further conversation after his over surveillance and lack of consideration. He believed I must listen to him. Although I thought what he did was without proper forethought. I do not believe Black men should be under any different scrutiny than any other race and if Genesis does - kindly refund all my costs and I happily find another venue for fitness. By the way not twenty minutes later three people walked the opposite way on THAT track while that trainer was training and he said nothing. And yes I watched- not okay. Let me recount my complaint- your trainer never asked if I were excercising - he assumed I was taking laps. I was taking the quickest route to the recumbent bikes. It was an unnecessary, unprofessional attempt to control a member of color improperly surveilled for the wrong reasons and yes it was offensive.

This gym is the best gym I’ve ever been to. I’ve been coming here for the past almost three years. I love the environment here. Everyone from the desk employees to the personal trainers here are all Helpful and positive when I see them on a day to day basis. I’ve only ever had 1 dispute on my bill and everyone made sure to solve it and that I understood why it happened. I will Never stop coming to this gym!

Seems flashy with the rock wall, kitchen and extras, but for really getting in a workout, I was underwhelmed. Not much of a selection for doing a working out. A lot of older machines. With how big the place is I figured I’d be a kid in a candy store. I’ll stick to the one Harry st where Genesis just slapped there name over Vasa’s. Miss that place.

Great spot. Nothing you can’t accomplish. Came in for a day pass between rounds at a kids soccer tournament and they let me work out for free. Classy staff!

The Genesis Club is a full family experience for us. Our smallest loves the daycare, our two oldest love going to tennis and my wife and I love our sessions. The staff are, by extension almost family, we love how supportive each division is and how they are helping us demonstrate a healthy lifestyle for our kids. Special shout-out to Joe S. and Ben H. for their personal training sessions.

Whether you’re a guy or girl, experienced or just starting out the trainers at this club will get you going! I’ve had the pleasure of working out with Robert and Vanessa and man they’re amazing! If you’re looking for athletic endurance training and want to lose weight then Vanessa is your go to! If you want to build size and mass from a trainer with decades worth of experience then Robert is your go to! In all honesty no matter who you choose to train you, you’re going to get top of the line service! Hit that workout hard and stop for a GEO MEAL on your way out. This membership is worth every penny!

The instructors for early morning classes are great. Other than that it has been a real mess recently. Most mornings when the doors are to open at 5 am, no one is there. Some of the staff that do show up don't speak to you and act mad that they had to open the door, specifically the north door. Then they get on their phones and pay no attention to anyone (north door again). Secondly, the outdoor pool has been closed for weeks due to "maintenance" and then no staff to work. Funny how other pools can find staff. I have been a member at the Rock Road club for 28 years, and this is the worst it has been. If Opti-Life is taken over from another company that can figure things out Genesis should be concerned that their long time members may just make a move. But again, I don't think the owner really cares.

I have been going to Genesis for years and have had a positive experience. I do dislike the annual gym enhancement fee though. Otherwise, everything is great. I had seen Ben Heithoff train others for years and debated if I needed/wanted a trainer. I recently started using him, and I would recommend him no matter your experience or what your fitness goals are.

I joined Rock Road and couldn’t be more excited. The club is always pristine and I feel very comfortable when I am there. The people are outstanding and very friendly. I believe that the club is under new management. I am always greeted by Rodney and he knows me and my friends by name when we walk in. I am so glad I made the switch from the Y.

Great gym with some of the best trainers (Ben H) in town along with having the best tennis program in the greater Wichita area! Super friendly staff all in all!

Rock Road Genesis is the best in town! Ben Heithoff, Fitness Manager, is great to work with on all things gym and membership related. I have been training with him for about the last 6 months and would definitely recommend him to anyone interested in taking their physical fitness to the next level.

I have jointed this health club 6 years ago and really enjoy working out here almost every day since then. The facility is very clean and well maintenance with plenty of work out equipments and a variety of exercise classes to suit every member needs. All the staffs are very friendly and helpful that make me feel welcome and feel right at home. Two thumbs up for this health club.

I love the gym on Harry. Julian leads a great group of people. JB and Kylee at the front desk and James who is always keeping everything clean. They do a great job and look forward to going there daily. The ladies that run the swim classes are great and motivational. It is a very friendly and productive atmosphere. I hope I spelled your names correctly if not I apologize. I also appreciate the friendly gym members as well. Gyms have a bad reputation but this gym is very inviting. Try it out, I think you will enjoy the experience. Keep up the great work you do!

A lot of equipment in this space but highly chaotic. This place was obviously some huge office building renovated into a gym and expanded upon. The feng shui is horribly off and there is just too much equipment stuffed into this one building. They definitely need a professional interior gym designer. There is a mix of new equipment and old equipment that seems like it was bought wholesale out of a 50 year old gym. There is high congestion and too many different brands of machines. The upstairs is a mirror maze. It almost seems like this place was put together by a gym meathead who is also a hoarder. A great example of less is more. Maybe sell off some of the outdated equipment and put in new stuff. The ceilings are too low in spots, the spaces are stuffy, musty, and the HVAC system could use an upgrade or put in more fans. Props to them making use of the conditions they had. This is by no means a bad gym. The people and workers are great and they have some neat amenities and are continuing to renovate and expand. I'd still recommend it to others. This review is for constructive criticism purposes.
