This place is a joke! Truly, if you’re looking for a job, I’d run the other way. They are constantly short staffed running you ragged. They can’t ever keep any staff longer than a couple months. Goodluck taking a break to eat or go to the bathroom cause that’s not gonna happen. They offer point reduction and bonus pay as incentives then don’t put them on your pay or give a reduction. And if you bring it up to them they get mad and argue with you and threaten your job. They also like to call the cops on there employees for no reason. I wouldn’t send your kid there because at Camber the kids run the facility not the adults! If I could give this place a zero I would, stay away from here.

Both my children have been at 2 of ur locations. One in Ks City and the other in Wichita. U all have done amazing communication with doctor and therapist. Keeping me informed and up-to-date on the kiddos. Yes I would recommend either one of ur facilities to any parent. The only thing that is hard is communication with kids.

Worst Mental Health Hospital for minors ever!!! They have had my son twice now in the last six months, on top of him being in 3 other hospitals. The lack of communication is unreal, the rudness of the therapist is awful, my son is suicidal, homicidal, has become violent in the home, and they send him home against our wishes. Would not recommend this hospital to anyone.

Y'all showed extreme compassion during this difficult time when making the decision to have a 9yr old family admitted for care during a crisis. the daily communication with the facility and being able to visit daily was more than expected. Your care in going over his treatment plans and discharge, along with the follow up calls have been comforting too. Nothing like all the things that we were told it would be by others if it came down to having to admit to family member into a hospital. A great tool to utilize when needing to figure out what's going on and to help get him stabilized for further success in his healing.

For the past 10 years, I’ve dreaded struggling through seminars to get my ethics CEUs. They have always been my least favorite part of renewing my license. However, Camber has done the impossible and managed to develop interesting ethics seminars. The information is amazing, the content is engaging and presenters are great. I’ve taken several seminars from them now and each one has added a valuable tool to my social work skills box. Highly recommend!

KVC provides such easily accessible, free, and quality continuing education opportunities for social workers/counselors. The convenience they provide takes one thing of the plate of busy professionals striving to find CEU's. Thank you to the presenters for all your hard work to benefit and grow others in the field in various topics!

I enjoyed the Ethics webinar because it gave more than just vague information that we typically hear during trainings and walked participants through a model to assist in making decisions. I feel the quality of webinars at no cost is excellent! Plan to attend more in the future! Thank you, Camber❤️

I just completed an Ethics training facilitation by Camber staff, and was very happy with the information shared. It went beyond potential ethical considerations and shared several case scenarios with dilemmas and previous court cases that supported various responses. I will definitely take trainings offered again!

My daughter was admitted here twice and it is hands down the best facility around for teens! Staff is amazing and they actually teach coping mechanisms for when they get out. Discharge instructions are easy and have all info you need upon dismissal. Highly recommend!

Ok place, i had an allergic reaction to one of the bandages after my blood was taken and no one contacted my guardian I had to tell her myself which I find is very unprofessional. Lots of fights between the same two kids it made me feel extremely stressed and the food was not the greatest.

They took great care of my Son. Called me every day to talk to me about him and I called every night to say good night to Michael. Very professional. Thank you for helping my Don

Every time I've gone it's been very nice. Staff are kind and very lenient. They let you take a blanket. And they let me take my binder.

When I was admitted the week after thanksgiving I had a good time in Orange unit. I made friends with the other kids in there. The food though was terrible, including the alternatives. Several kids had found hair in their meals, the chocolate milk I had received one day was expired, and one girl even found a tooth in her meal, which the staff did nothing about. I just advise putting a lot more thought into the food because it does not help kids, especially kids like me with an ED.

This is a good short term hospital. I was there for a short amount of time. I did have a few issues with my stay. I was supposed to have a plan for my anxiety and I didn't receive it until the last day. I understand that it was for reasons that I'm not allowed to bring personal belongings off unit, but I had spoken to my therapist a few days prior. Some of the staff listened to me and let me take my stuffy off unit with me, while others told me to ask the nurse and the nurse just would refuse to answer me until I had talked to my therapist (I had already talked to her a few days prior). The food was also very gross. I'm lactose intolerant and so I had alternative meals. They barely fed us anything else but chicken nuggets. The fries were seasoned with Rosemary which is a horrible combination. I also found hair in my food a couple of times.

First off I got physically attacked/jumped the staff knew the other individual involved was planning on striking me but didn’t tell me!! n the staff still turn their back & didn’t watch me or remove me from the pod until it was over with so there for I got jumped the food is horrible. most of the staff is OK. Obviously not the people that didn’t tell me I was getting prayed on.

My mom has been a foster parent for several years. She utilizes this facility for her foster children when they are dealing with PTSD and other trauma from their upbringing. KVC is always able to stabilize them and provide them with dynamic and supportive care. This is an amazing facility with incredible staff.

They are so unprofessional. They offered me a position with them. I’m in college and cancelled all my other interviews thinking I had a job lined up for after graduation. Then I call them and they tell me they gave my position to someone else without even telling me!!! Now I’m scrambling to find something else. Super unprofessional. Not impressed at all.

KVC does a wonderful job helping families get through crisis. They helped equip our son with the tools he needs to manage his thoughts and moods in the future. I'm so thankful we had such a wonderful place for him to go with people that truly care.

From the intake phone call to answer questions to--->the welcome and offering of snacks and drinks upon arrival to---> resources given to---> COVID protective measures to---> security including photo name tags and phone privacy codes to ---> our counselor Ariel's understanding, experience, and professionalism, KVC is second to none. I told our family and friends this was the "Lexus of pediatric psych wards." So thankful Wichita has this offering for families available!

I want to shout out the therapist, Jay! He is the only one that has been able to make a connection with our son and we very much appreciate everything he did for our son and our family. I would definitely recommend KVC to any family that is struggling and needing some extra support. All of the staff was fantastic!

KVC staff did an amazing job taking care of my son. I got daily phone calls from the therapist and could call the nurses to see how his day was. Everyone I talked with was caring and empathetic. My 13 year old son even said it was helpful for him to be there.
