I believe I found this doctor on my insurance website when I had insurance. When I had insurance, it was great, it would have been five stars. When I lost insurance it was over. They obviously don’t work with low-income people and would not. They referred me to 2 places for low-income and neither place provided the service I was seeking so that was a wash. Hospitals, doctors, medical services, they always claim to “care for their patients”. But when they hit hard times, or lose jobs, or insurance, they no longer care. I wish they would add “when properly insured” to anything where they claim to care about patients and I’m sure that’s every single medical office that exists unless specially designed for low-income. I know these reviews are irrelevant because they have low ratings and still get plenty of business. People have to go to the doctor so there is no incentive to help the low income patients. I won’t return even though I now have insurance.

You can go out of your way to find out the costs of unnecessary tests they want to do, you’ll get multiple prices and in the end the real price will be quadruple what you were told! Will never be back and will not be paying a dime over what I was told it would cost when making the appointment. Craigslist would offer better services than these low life scammers.

I've been a patient at Wichita Family for the majority of my life. Dr. Brunner has always been great to me and same with the nurses. I'm honestly surprised to see so many 1-star reviews about rude nurses and billing staff, I personally have never had bad service here.

Dr. Outwater is great, but the support staff is so bad we are switching physicians. Twice we've had lab techs promise to call us with lab results, and twice they failed to do so. We had an appointment scheduled for us without our knowledge. We also experienced a time when my wife needed a physical for a new job opportunity and she needed it quickly. Dr. Outwater was out of town for two weeks (which is perfectly fine), but they refused to schedule the routine employment physical with another doctor at Wichita Family Medicine. We had to go see another physician at a different practice. We've experienced rude secretaries, nurses, and lab techs. I like Dr Outwater, but Wichita Family Medicine did not do the little things right for us. It cost them our business.

I had doctor Regan DeHart and nurse Wendy. They were both so incredibly rude and dismissive. Jaw droppingly unprofessional over phone calls and in person. Terribly rude, and disinterested in patients. Once she found out that my Nephrologist failed her in Med school for bedside manner things just got worse. I can see why she failed her! Then they sent a letter saying they wouldn't see me anymore and as a transplant patient, I am on many important medications. It was at refill time and she said she wouldn't see me anymore nor do a last refill, so left me about 15 days of no medications until I could get in to see a new doctor. That's immature and dangerous. Luckily I had already been looking for a new one but 15 days cold stop of about 6 medications all at once was what she opted for, as an adult doctor. She was butt hurt because I called them to see why the doctor hadn't sent the medicine forms to my new insurance yet and they were waiting on her. Two days later my pharmacy called me and said that the insurance is saying the doctor still hasn't completed the forms and I should call their office. I was literally scared to call, they are that much of bullying ladies.. But did. I say my name, she says Amanda I told you we would call you! Then flips out completely unprofessionally. My pharmacy said to call you.. And maybe if you all did your jobs I wouldn't have had to call you again.

Since my Doctor was out, I was seen by Brittany Hill. After reviewing the reason for my visit, Brittany failed to grant me privacy during my visit, condescendingly repeated back my issue and pushed me out the door with out further word. With out as much as an acknowledgment to my request for help. Brittany should not be compensated for this and disciplinary action should take place. Nothing about her actions were appropriate.

My former doctor, Dr Brown, had been my doctor since the day I was born retired 3 years ago and I've since been under Dr Regan DeHart's care. I haven't needed to go but for my yearly of which has had to be rescheduled 2 out of 3 times. What gets me is that the appointment was made 3 months ago and rescheduled due to it being her day off. So if this was a requested day off why did it take you til the Friday before my appointment to call me to reschedule. But as of today my 30 some odd year stint with WFMS is done solely due to Dr Dehart and her lack of people skills or an ability to care. After her nurse took me to the examination 40 minutes had passed before I had to go find the nurse to figure out where she was. Her nurse was confused because she thought she was with me and said let me go find her. 5 minutes later she finally comes with the excuse that she had a sick elderly patient that needed her immediate attention. If that was true, then ok I'm fine waiting but someone should have let me know. But the fact that her nurse thought she was in with me and had to go find her just doesn't make her excuse very believable. And to speak to me like I'm a small child and with zero remorse is just poor service. This was the last straw and I will be finding a new doctor.

My dear Br Brunner, how do I even begin to thank you for putting up with my multiple issues over the past several years. You are the most caring knowledgeable fun and personable doctor who ever provided care. You never dismiss any of my concerns and even when my appointment is scheduled for one issue you address multiple. Thank you so much for taking on my husband's case on as well now. The staff that is at the office is always incredibly nice and polite, even when they are busy. Today I called to pay my husband's bill. He has this bill because the insurance lied when we signed up and told us that Dr Brunner was one of the in-network providers. A very nice woman in billing department told me that there is no bill. To my very bill and very pleasant surprise this wonderful office wrote it off. Even though I was more than willing to pay for the services received because we appreciate all the time and work that you do I appreciate so much your kindness and care. You are truly a blessing.

Dr. Brunner has been the doctor for our entire family for many years. He's smart, caring, kind and gentle. We couldn't ask for a better doctor. The staff has always been great. We've always been able to get same day or next day appointments when needed.

I had been seeing Dr. Drew Schultz for years and he left in October 2018. I have a very complex history and a rare kidney disease. I was very nervous about starting over with a new doctor. My care was transitioned over to Dr. Stephanie Shields. She has been incredibly helpful and has helped me tremendously. She has compassion and is highly knowledgeable regarding my issues, especially my kidney disease. She is a highly intelligent and a sharp doctor. Great bedside manners, cares about her patients and works to keep you on track and healthy as possible. I feel better and healthier than I have in many years. Outstanding care and she made the transition easy, comfortable and is willing to listen work with her patients. I have complete trust with Dr. Shields. Beth is the nurse I've had for years and is still my nurse and she is wonderful as well. I'm thankful to have them both caring for my health. I highly recommend Dr. Shields and Beth for a nurse. I've read a lot of negative reviews regarding front desk staff and care coordination, but I've only received positive experiences so far and feel they actually listen and are very good about getting back to me in a timely manner and they communicate my needs to Dr. Shields effectively. Thank you Wichita Medicine Specialists!

I went in to go see Dr. Foster for POTS. My feet turn purple when I sit down, I have a racing heart rate when I stand up. I almost pass out when I’ve been walking for about 15 minutes. He wanted to tell me it was “anxiety”. Does anxiety turn your feet purple? No. Maybe listen to your patients before automatically assuming it’s anxiety.

I followed Jennifer Martinez over here from her previous office. She is a wonderful provider and I've always trusted myself and kids with her care.

Read the reviews they're not wrong. this place is terrible. mainly the staff in the office. you can't get anybody to answer the phone you can't get anybody to return your calls Dr kahrs has a terrible bedside manner won't listen to you. I used to go there only because of Dr Schultz. He was an awesome doctor but he's no longer there so there's no reason to go there
