Such a great experience! Delicious food and very friend staff! They have some of the best Vegan options in Wichita!! Genie and Cole are awesome and we are definitely coming back!

I would have never known this place was here but am sure glad I found it. It's located in the Ruffin Building out east, which is tucked back on a hill and I never knee it was there. I mistakenly went to the downtown Ruffin Building initially, I glanced at the address and automatically thought it was the downtown one. Very quaint little space with two tables for dining. I was very impressed that all the food was prepped and cooked fresh! Yummy! The wait was worth it, though you could totally call ahead and order. My husband and I both got the vegan burrito and it was delicious. It's really hard to find good vegan food but totally check this place out if that's what you're looking for. They do have non vegan items as well.

I’ve been wanting to try this place & finally did today. I ordered the Korean bowl with soy and it was tasty- a bit too salty- but good. I look forward to going back & trying more dishes.

This is by far the most value for your buck! Waaaay more relaxed than Lotus Leaf (you won't be shamed for showing up in sweatpants) and more variety than Rice & Roll and a food truck combined! I LOVED the vegan thumbprint cookies, blueberry coffee cake, and vegan breakfast burrito. I was in a rush to get to the airport, but I shoulda grabbed all the thumbprint cookies, and tried their drinks! The burrito is PACKED. I almost couldn't finish it. It was a bit on the salty side but I think that was the brand of veg sausage they used. Anyway, my cardiologist doesn't need to know... It's a bit challenging to get here. Directions below, I def recommend calling ahead to avoid the 15min wait and going on a Friday morning (there's no one there so you get faster service)! If you have time, the community dining area is well lit with vaulted ceiling windows, and bursting with shrubbery. It's quite beautiful! The signs leading you here are kinda small, so instead of looking for the microscopic "Poppys Cafe," follow the little blue poppy signs. When you enter through the double doors (north entrance), you'll see a sleepy security gaurd to your left - elevators dead ahead - and a massive community dining area to your right. Go right towards the open dining, you'll step down a small set of stairs, then walk till you hit a dim corridor, it should be lit by a little sign saying "poppys cafe" with the blue flower you followed in, and at the end you'll hit Poppy's Cafe! 🍻

AMAZING vegan options!! Had the Philly ‘cheesesteak’ and Bhan Mi with a brownie for dessert. Delicious! I was impressed by their options. Very friendly staff. Definitely worth the stop for lunch! 🥰

Absolute staple for vegans... and vegetarians and omnis but as a vegan... I cannot praise this cafe enough. Delicious food and OPTIONS. Not just sub or take this off or here is 1 option... so awesome!

The definition of a hidden gem. Getting off the interstate on a cross country road trip was WELL WORTH IT! Fantastic vegan and vegetarian options for a great value. They even have delicious, fresh baked vegan pastries and baked goods! My favorite part was the staff though - extremely friendly and genuine. They are doing a great job. I'll stop every time I pass through Wichita. Thank you guys!

Glad we finally made it out. I use to work in this building 15 years ago and the cafe that use to be in here was not very good. I like how Poppies has lightened up the paint and made it more inviting. We are a vegan home, so that's why we visited. It's been difficult to get out here because we are vegan for the planet, so we don't have a vehicle. Their menu is extensive and most can be made vegitarian or vegan. We had the smash burger, the Philly, and a coffee cake. All was great, though the smash burger had a little too much season salt. I had others try it to confirm, but I feel that was a one off and not typical of course. The Philly was amazing, and even the fries were yum! We will return when we can. I hope they host another vegan vendor event. We weren't able to make it due to the bus as I believe it was on a Sunday when the buses don't run, but would like to try to attend if they throw another this year. Try Poppies! You won't be disappointed.

Go in to eat. Don’t order them through DoorDash. Every time we’ve went in as a family, the service has been great and the food as well. Every time I’ve ordered through DoorDash though…. Not a good experience. The first time, my fries were missing. Second time, my Philly had no cheese. Third time, my drink wasn’t included, though that may have been the Dashers fault. I would like better takeout consistency because I have very limited vegan options I can pick from in my location.

I've ordered most things on the menu. Quesadillas are money and the ultimate breakfast burrito is to die for. Everything seems to come with salsa, guac and sour cream. The Cafe itself is down to the right, there's 2 security guards at the front that can give you directions. Was confused my first time cause it's part of an office building.

A lovely cafe with plenty of options for meat lovers, vegans and everyone in between. I had one of the best vegan burgers I’ve ever had! It was well seasoned with a toasted bun and fun condiment. The tater tots were also crispy with a yummy garlic seasoning. It’s a bit of an odd location, but it is well worth going out of the way to get some tasty food.

Very short staffed and no system for doordash established. IDK what to say for seating or waiting more than 10 minutes to be acknowledged. They didn't acknowledge and were rude once they did as if people who already ordered, whether online or in the store aren't more important than the ones who haven't as far as order. They should have a line separate for carry out to avoid thinking I'm cutting in line with their judgemental faces. 🤨 Was told 5 minutes, he made everyone in the stores and then proceeded to walk away ignoring me...

Vegan and meat options were both excellent. Steak Burrito was fantastic. If you don't work there enter through the top and turn right to get there.

We stopped here on our way to Oklahoma! Was pretty good. I gave 4 stars because I got 2 Quesadilla's and they were SO greasy/oily! It was a turn off. The sausage bowl was good and so was the coffee cake! Definitely worth a stop but maybe not for quesadillas.

This place is so delicious. Everything I have tried so far is good. My favorite is the steak quesadilla, sooo good and freshly made. Highly recommend eating here.

Love this place. Food is awesome. Vegan options. I would die for their breakfast sandwich. The building is a weird location being in a office building but it is gorgeous inside with a big atrium full of natural light and plants. We always sit and eat in there and it is peaceful and quiet. They host special dinner events and stuff occasionally which is nice. The woman that owns it is super sweet and makes delicious baked goods that you can grab there and also sells boxes of them. The guy that makes the food at the counter is nice as well.
