Such a shame to say we will not be returning and or recommending this place. Horrible customer service. My husband and I went in looking to get some tropical tea, asked the young lady that worked there for assistance. First, off she had no knowledge of the teas and had to ask someone else, not a big deal. When she pulled out a tea "she thought might be sorta of what I wanted," I asked her what was in it, she stared into space. I went to look at the container and she yanked it away so fast and said, "oh you can't smell, touch or look at it, we don't do that here. " Not the best reaction to someone who has lack of knowledge and is looking to your expertise. If you don't know anything about what you're selling, how is the customer supposed to know? You lost me at, "Oh no we don't do that here." Maybe hire adults who actually care if you keep customers. And honestly, care about good customer service. Also as a side bar, we found out their products are chemically flavored, thanks to our fantastic helper in the tea section. No thank you.

With an extensive selection of types, sizes, and quality tea; this is a must stop for the Tea Drinker that loves to make their own and enjoy. Stop in and give yourself a 10 minute walk around. The staff is helpful to questions and needs. Definitely recommend.

LOVE the Spice Merchant. As a former Wichitan, it really is a treasure that I miss, and I ALWAYS visit when I come back to Wichita. Coffee, Tea, Spices, Trinkets, Local food stuffs - everything is unique and high quality!

First time I'd ever been there in all the years I've lived in Wichita. What a treat. This place smells great even if you're not a coffee drinker and the tea selection is out of this world... if you're looking for a gift for someone, I highly recommend this place... they sell cards they sell gifts they sell coffee they sell tea and they even sell little plastic bags of small amount of spices so you don't have to buy a big jar.

This is a true gem of Wichita, right at the corner of Douglas and Cleveland. The Spice Merchant will mesmerize you with the smell of fresh coffee and spices once you step inside. The selection here is outstanding with a plethora of different coffee flavors, that can be purchased whole or ground, served by their friendly staff. The variety of spices is equally impressive and can be purchased in simple one ounce bags that make picking up multiple needs for any recipe a game changing convenience. Then there is a classic room dedicated entirely to tea, and the the rest of the store is loaded with racks of sauces, kitchen utensils, and awesome gifts. There is so much more to this fine business that it deserves to be checked out multiple times by all of Wichita residents and visitors.

Amazing place in Wichita. If you love coffee then you will love it here. They have a huge selection of fresh coffee and tea along with all the spices you could ever need. I always get my coffee here and am able to make espresso that tastes better than almost any coffee shop. They are always really nice and helpful.

I have been going to the spice merchant for several years, the quality of the coffee and tea are out of this world. There is a great selection of salsa, spices, puzzels, tea sets and cutesy kitchen gadgets that make for a perfect gift. You're guaranteed to find something for any personality here 👍🏼

Absolutely love this place! Incredible large tea selections! I love loose leaf teas and this is my go to place to purchase them. They have a lot of tea accessories and tools to purchase as well. Their spice selection is out of the park as well! Incredible products at an incredible price. My family has many staples that we will only get from here as the freshness and quality is not comparable to what any box store can give. Always love the customer service and friendliness of the staff when in or call on the phone!

The absolute best place to purchase all your wonderful coffee and teas...the smell is incredible walking in this place. I recommend the coffees as I have tried them. Several of them. You cannot go wrong if you are a connoisseur of coffees or teas. Will definitely return when I visit Wichita again.

Visited for the first time on Saturday, and we will absolutely be back! The workers were so kind and informative. We got some coffee beans, truffles, and a fun plate/cup/bowl set for our daughter! Had the coffee on sunday morning, so delicious!

Walking into this place smells like Paradise. The aroma of freshly ground coffee beans fills the air. I'm impressed with the selection of kitchen gadgets and accessories and other gift ideas and greeting cards. The selection of tea blends is impressive. I bought several things, including Peru Balinese coffee beans. I will never drink store-bought coffee. Highly recommend.

I really enjoy their coffee, lots of flavors. And the selection of teas"Wow" Of course, all the flavorings and kitchen gadgets are great too. My sister's and I like to make this one of our destinations when in Wichita.

The smell, the coffee, the cups, the spices! One of the best places to get gourmet coffee grounds for cheap in Wichita. Thier staff is super friendly and can help you find the flavor your seeking. I'd rate it 6/5 if I could!

First time to visit in 15 years. Even better than I remembered. Purchased some spices. Added 1/4 teaspoon of Cattleman's Ranch Seasoning and 1/2 tablespoon of milk to three eggs for scrambled eggs. They were awesome. Definitely not going to be another 15 years before I visit again.

Love The Spice Merchant. From the fragrance when you first to the wide variety of merchandise I love most every aspect of this store. What I dislike is the normal long wait to check out. It's not really their fault though. It's a very popular small store with limited floor space and honestly there isn't room for more registers.

The Spice Merchant is the most amazing place to buy ground coffee or coffee beans (if you're fancy). The store is packed full of spices, local salsas and dip mixes, and any and all other flavorings you can imagine. If you need a gift, you're bound to find something there! Not to mention the teeeeea... you've never seen a tea selection like this!

The best place in town to get whatever spices, coffee grounds, teas, or really anything for your kitchen. Today I purchased a bag of ground habanero to add to soups/stews, and am currently dealing with the consequences of having a little bit to taste test. Their spices taste great, but if the bag comes with a warning, "caution, extremely hot" believe you me, they mean it.

Get service and the best place to buy all your spices, 1 ounce packages for spices you don't use too much and larger packages for the ones you use often. Prices are very reasonable much cheaper than at the grocery store. I had a list and staff helped to find anything I didn't see immediately.

My daughter took me on a visit. Smelled great. Sights and sounds. The tea room was wonderful. I got loads of tea to try. You can get smaller bags too. They even had candy treats and cookies.

Mainly a coffee person, so, speaking on that, they had a great selection and the people were very helpful as it was my first time there. Pricing is obviously better than Starbucks cause you’re not paying for the brand image or labor of actually making the coffee. Loved it this morning!

An amazing resource for culinary horizon expansion. As the name suggests, there is a great assortment of spices from all over the world. The coffee selection is great, and tea selection is even greater. I love to hot sauce selection and always get a new bottle when I use my KMUW coffee club card. Great place to get fun kitchen gifts come Christmas time or for birthdays. You have to check out!

If you wanted to make the power puff girls you would come here for the ingredients. They got the suger, spice, everything nice! I get my coffee, the women gets her tea. Great local shop that supports other local places.

I came here recently. The staff was super helpful, particularly an employee (if I recall correctly) named Janice. She was a gem. She guided me to just my style of items without being pushy. Honestly the best customer service skills I've received in a long time. Love the shop and the above par customer service❣❣❣

The Spice Merchant has some of the most delicious coffee and tea I’ve tasted. Their BBQ spices and rubs are superb. They have lots of kitchen gadgets and fun treats too. The flow of the store could improve specifically on busy weekends, but so worth the trips!

You can shop for nearly every occasion and never be disappointed. They have excellent quality cooking supplies, various teas from around the globe, and some of the best vintage candies in the area, coffee mugs, tea pots and even a few games.
