This was a good bowling alley, one of the best in Wichita. But a new company bought it out and has been price hemorrhaging the hell out of the place. I can’t say I recommend this place as it was fairly priced but now you have to pay an arm and a leg if you want to bowl.

Let me tell you, first this bowling alley has 48 lanes. Next they have a wonderful gift shop and there is all kinds of cool stuff in there. They are also very friendly and nice. Their arcade is falling apart but other than that this is the place :)

An out of touch elite East Coast company from New York has taken over this once wonderful locally owned bowling alley. The prices are now outrageous. Nearly 20 dollars for a pitcher?! The service is so slow in the bar/restaurant. The open bowling prices are ludicrous. The lane conditions are not consistent. An obviously mentally ill and homeless person was running around stealing drinks, and kicking bowlers bags. (3 weeks ago, check your cameras) The staff was oblivious. There are no security officers, or off-duty police officers there, yet the elite East Coast owners have posted "no guns allowed signs," which tell the thugs to come on in and have your way! I don't feel safe there at all. Support local! I recommend the only locally owned bowling centers, Seneca or Derby Bowl.

We used to meet here once a week, the new prices are absolutely outrageous. None of the hand sanitizer dispensers worked the shoes smelled absolutely horrible, even the employees seemed like they hate working there now and it shows, we watched a "cook" throwing fries in the fryer bare handed without even gloves. How can you ruin such a great place in so little time?

Joined a league here—good fun— although kind of a rough area at night. Be careful walking to your car. Leagues are a good way to get to know people and are relatively inexpensive. Bowling takes practice, and improves hand/eye coordination the more you play. If you are new to the Wichita area, or are an established community member—check this place out! You will be glad you did!

Brand new shoes, clean facilities, and the staff is amazing. The lanes and balls are in great shape. Cheap rates to have a family night.

Update: we decided to try again recently and I am changing my review. Although it is pricey, it's no ones fault but the corporate company who bought out all the bowling alleys. The staff, the time before last, were super rude the moment we walked up to the counter. This time around, though, they were so nice, especially the manager who worked with us since our toddler was over bowling after our first of two games. Also, the gal who tended our lane went above and beyond to accommodate us. We will be back simply because of the good experience we recently had. Not worth $50 for me, my husband, and our almost 2 year old to play, let alone on a lane that was messed up. They use league rules when bumpers are up so if your CHILD or their ramp accidentally crosses the line, their points don't count. This bowling alley used to be awesome and we unfortunately went for our last time this evening.

Bowling alley and small arcade that's been here for a long time, now operates as a Bowlero. Super nice staff and lots of lanes to play on, although during promotional hours it might be full. On Wednesday they have both half price arcade games and also the night strike with unlimited bowling after 8pm. Staff was great. Fun times, especially if you haven't been bowling in a while. I would recommend the Snickers milkshake too!

Once was great now a work in progress, tvs don't work and now lane displays are out and nothing can be done till new owners do the remodel. Sad they did away with specials for league bowlers and are more focused on the occasional random bowlers.

Still under construction but the operation is still moving along just fine. I appreciate this place having the kids in here for school sports. Thank you

After a questionable start in the customer service / food/bar service …. Northrock “bolero” has started pulling it together. For the last several weeks, bar service at the lanes has been great. Kudos to the staff for the great improvements.

$6.50 for a 16 Oz miller highlife! An 17.69 for a pitcher of bud light! Bowling prices are outrageous per game! And the bowling special is not what is advertised! Very expensive experience! However the manager (michael) at northrock lanes, was a very nice and down to earth guy!

We had our End of Season Party for our Baseball Team. They made everything so easy and the kids (and parents) had a fantastic time.

My son does his highschool bowling league practice here! It's very clean fun and makes you just want to have fun . Every time I walk in I get so upset if I can't play lol. But that's the life of being a parent !! Lol.... But at least the next generations gets to enjoy something so nice.

It's far too busy for my taste but I won't ding their score for that. Staff was prompt. It was clean even with the high volume of people, lanes have nice touch screen interfaces. Food looks great, arcade is fun. Overall good experience

It is still a bowling alley but now that they have been purchased by a larger corporate conglomerate, it shows. Lots of staff but no one is particularly working hard (or fast-good grief we waited a looooong time for sub par service in the bar). The pricing has gone up considerably. It is still fun if you like to bowl. It just lost a lot of personality.

Had family visiting from out of state. The kids like bowling! This is the second time we went bowling at North Rock Lanes when they come to visit, once a year. Never disappointed! We always have a good time and the kids have a blast. Great pizza, too!

48 Lanes of excitement the longest bowling alley I've ever seen in my life. And on one end is Rocco's professional card shop baseball, football hockey you name it. Lot of locals know Rocco is a good man even my dad dealt with him over 40 years ago.. off and on. It's called Rock dugout 3232 North Rock road. It was good to meet a legend.

The bowling center is nice as always but the kitchen staff was a complete disaster. I asked for the manager and was told it would be at least 20 minutes before they could get her. I took the issue into my own hands at that time. Still a nice center but they have a long way to go from a staffing standpoint.

Not only was it not very busy for a Friday night the prices were pretty decent, and the staff was super accommodating. We tried another bowling alley before this and it was packed. Luckily due to the size of this alley there was still plenty of room for us and many others wanting to bowl on a Friday night in the summer. They have a lot of fun themes that you can choose on your TV screens, including an Angry Birds version of bowling unlike any other round of bowling I’ve ever played. It was great for all of our party and every age group had a blast. Thank you North Rocklands for such a memorable night!
