👍👍 They are amazing. Brought my Dirt Devil Razor in after the belt shredded and replacement belts were impossible to identify by model number online. What would have taken me two hours and who knows how many YouTube tutorials to fix(?) on my own (if I could guess the right belt in the first place) took... People often mention machine, sewing, thread, machines, hook,

They are amazing. Brought my Dirt Devil Razor in after the belt shredded and replacement belts were impossible to identify by model number online. What would have taken me two hours and who knows how many YouTube tutorials to fix(?) on my own (if I could guess the right belt in the first place) took them ten minutes. Very reasonable prices and friendly service. My vacuum runs great. Highly recommended!

Since 1976 I've purchased a sewing machine and 3 vacuums at Midwest Sewing Center. The products are great. The staff is friendly AND knowledgeable. Jon knows everything about every machine in the store! If you ever need service, they're great at that too.

My go-to place for maintenance on my 3 Elna sewing machines. Others in town work on them, but MidWest is the BEST! Jon and Cory have been my contacts and both are kind, efficient, knowledgeable and helpful. Both have worked there for 20+ years and I trust them. I highly recommend this business.

I bought a new sewing machine from here recently. The whole experience was superb. Jon was super helpful in finding a machine that fit my needs and budget. I had brought my two young (4&6) kids with me to look around and he was great with them as well. After looking unsuccessfully in other local sewing shops this was a great change.

Jon was so helpful in finding the perfect sewing cabinet for my needs! It is so nice to have local shops to still go to for our quilting needs! Thank you so much!

Brought in a sewing machine for standard maintenance. The woman was so insolent. I had deliberately left all my accessories home because the last time I brought in my machine the man who checked it in have me back everything...power cord, foot pedal, all the feet, stylus pen, spool cap, bobbin, thread. Anything that could be removed he gave back at check in. She corrected me saying he only gave back the power cord and pedal, not that she would know since she wasn't there last time I came in. When I tried to explain this, she interupeted me with a wave of her hand and said, "whatever". I told her I didn't need her attitude and I left. I'll never go back.

On our way home from vacation and they stayed open past.closing so I could pick up my machine. Saved me another 2 hour trip into Wichita. They also showed me how to get a much cheaper part than what they could offer. Thanks so much Midwest Sewing and Vacuum.

I took my long-owned and treasured Bernina 217 commercial machine in for a repair. Technician Corey Hoopler did not find the problem and returned the machine to me with a $139.85 charge for clean, adjust, lube, and debur the hook assy. It didn't sew and only wound thread around the hook/bobbin assy. I investigated the problem by watching the thread move through the system with the machine upside down in a good light. The problem was a bent thread stop that also serves to prevent the bobbin case from rotating. I removed the hook assy and found a significant burr on the face plate and dressed it smooth. I cleaned thread and debris from behind the hook assy and a ball of thread imbedded behind the bobbin face plate. The thread stop had to be removed to remove the hook assy as well. I straightened the stop and reinstalled it, timed the hook and lubed the machine. It then sewed perfectly. After some discussion with Corey he arranged for a complete refund of my fee. So Corey and the company made it right despite the oversight. For that reason I will be a return customer. It's increasingly difficult to find companies or corporations that will step up and correct these kind of problems. Thank you Corey for being that stand-up guy!

Front desk insolence hasn't changed. First red flag. Condescension, man-splaining, self-defense ("I've been doing this a long time so I know what I'm doing.") Not so much. According to Man-splainer everything is my fault: thread, material, sewing technique. I stopped listening at three. I had fixed the problem before taking my machine back for "warranty review". Man-splain took the credit. Hilarious. I mentioned his double speak has me frazzled. He apologized, I guess and not really. Just making noise. I ignored the RED FLAGS going in (Man-splain pointed out the $15,000 machines and the people that buy them. Translation: your lousy $75+ tax is nothing to us.) I really needed one of my machines serviced so I made the poor choice: this place.

Shopping for vacuum & Midwest had the perfect vacuum for me. Bethany assisted me, friendly & no salesmanship "pressure" at all. Parking at front door so easy in & out, too
