My daughters, mother and I really enjoyed this museum! It is free, you can give a donation if you’d like which I did because of how much great information we got from the guide! I would go there again!

McCormick School is a Wichita treasure! You are greeted at the entrance with the nostalgic atmosphere of an old school building that will take you back to some of your earliest memories. Paul is a delightful guide who is informative and invites you to explore the space in a self-guided manor. Three floors await complete with multiple classrooms, historical vignettes, and archives. I’ve lived in Wichita my entire life and was blown away by the charm and history contained in this Proudfoot and Bird structure, the only school building left of the several originally designed by the architect duo in the late 1800s.

Took the kids to the school but sadly it was closed down. Maybe another day I will see if it is opened up. When I was a kid I went inside as it turned into a museum.

Fantastic school built in 1890, I was once a student there. Thank you to the fantastic volunteers who are fighting to keep it open as a Museum. Every one should go there to see this school, I'm thrilled I can say I went there.

This is a very informative tour, it would be nice if anyone had yearbooks from the 70's they could use the donation.

Just a well taken care of facility that we use for our grandchildren. Shady seating and playground for the kids.

Amazing museum with so much rich history. The volunteer had so much knowledge and gave us a very informative tour. I'll definitely go back again.
