Our go to's are always the famous Bob and the Italian sandwiches', Ask to make them spicy you wont regret it, (if you like an added kick)! The food here has so much flavor and character, this is my favorite sandwich shop in Wichita.

Ok. I rarely give reviews because the experience has to be either HORRIBLE or OUT OF THIS WORLD. Myra is the face of this amazing restaurant and experience. She will passionately walk you through the entire menu and her suggestions are always on point. I have been here 3 times this week and I am committed to going through the entire menu. If you catch me when I’m there, I will buy you an entree. This place is the truth and hands down the best food I’ve EVER had in Wichita. I’m from Chicago by way of Dallas so I’m a serious foodie!

I'm glad to see this place is back in business. The food is great. I usually(when MG was in Towne East) order "The Infamous Bob" and get it done spicy. The only real downside are the prices. Sandwiches are $12-15. That's just the sandwich. That is steep for lunch IMO. Unfortunately with that, I don't think I'll be eating there often. Great food though.

Best sandwich I've ever had. By a long shot. The Infamous Bob is one of those foods you simply can not get anywhere else. You can't make, you can't recreate it. Metro Grill owns it. I used to stop by the little spot in Town East Square during my lunch break and get one every week back in mid 00's. I've since moved states (a lot) and have not been able to find anything that comes close to it. The original founder/sandwich artist Michael Gonzalez has a great group of friendly, passionate team members around him and seeing them reopen in their new location makes every visit back to Wichita that much better.

Was glad to see Metro Grill back. Pasta Mia was excellent as was the Infamous BOB sandwich. A previous favorite was the roasted poblano cheddar soup/chowder. I loved it. Disappointed is an understatement for describing what I had yesterday. There was a quarter inch of oil floating on the top of what I brought home yesterday! If I’d have eaten my food at the restaurant I’d have pointed this out to the staff and asked for a refund but I was at home when ready to eat it. It was inedible & I had to discard it. I hope they solve this problem as it was my favorite dish on the menu.

After years of trying to find another place that makes amazing Cuban sandwiches like Micheal. I found it! 😂 they are back and better then ever. Food is amazing, I highly recommend the Cuban and Infamous Bob. Myra is always welcoming when we arrive. Food is always fresh and flavorful.

It was my first time going to Metro Grill! My parents and I were recommended the Italian chicken sandwich and Poblano soup - all super amazing! Myra was professional and easy to talk to, loved her energy. The environment was welcoming and also clean. Definitely recommend this place.

Metro Grill is an awesome spot to visit in downtown Wichita. If you’re looking for a place for lunch, dinner or a late night snack, this is the place I would recommend. Their staff is always so friendly and gives you that small neighborhood restaurant feel. Like you’re a local and they are happy to see you every time. Moreover, the food here is so delicious and unique. Their sandwiches and hotdogs are my favorite! The (Real Cuban) is a go to and in my opinion the best here in the city. The Chicago dog is close to what you would experience if you were actually in the Windy City! Myra is an excellent employee, so nice and personable! I hope anyone who comes here after me, gets to experience this small hidden restaurant! They also have a great selection of tasty cheesecakes!! I’ll for sure be back to visit!

For the best Cuban sandwich outside of Florida, go to Metro Grill! Delicious!! Next time I’m in town I’ll try the homemade cheesecake.

Best Cuban sandwich in all of Wichita. The cheesecakes are also top notch. 5 stars only because this ranking system doesn't go up to 10. Worth every penny.

The veggie is so good! I would of never thought about putting mango on a sandwich but they really know what they're doing. Also management is the sweetest!

The chili on my Texas dog didn't look good. The Texas dog was just ok. I also ordered a slice of oreo cheesecake and it was delicious.

Very good Cuban sandwich but honestly you must go there for the cheesecake. I let them pick 2 and it was key lime and praline pecan I believe. I think about them both all of the time now.

I decided to try Metro Grill for lunch today. I ordered the Infamous Bob Sandwich, and wow, it was amazing. It's a $12 sandwich, I paid $4 to add fries, so it's not a cheap place, but it's totally worth it. Be prepared to spend $20+ per person. The sandwich needs a side for a meal. I spent $19.53 without a drink.

Excellent food. I had the chicken caprese sandwich. Very tasty and cooked perfectly. Bread was nice and toasty. My wife had the Real Cuban sandwich, once again very tasty and the pickles didn’t overpower the sandwich like Cubans I have had at other restaurants. The bread was also toasted perfectly. We also had fried plantains which we both liked.

I visited Metro Grill on Thursday March 23rd around 2:00 p.m. It wasn't very busy. The fire department inspectors showed up while I was eating. I purchased the Original Cubano and asked for the hot peppers to be put on the side. The price of the sandwich alone was a little over $11. My first impression is that the sandwich was fairly small The bread of the sandwich was just all right. What really caught my attention was how dry the pork was. I had to take the peppers off of the sandwich because the gentleman making the food evidently forgot about my request to have them on the side. Overall I would give my experience a three stars. The sandwich was small for the price the pork was dry and they did not listen to my request to have the peppers on the side. Doubtful that I will return. So far the best Cubano I've had has been at the Metro Bistro in Andover. I would recommend it.

We have dinner from Metro Grill a couple of times a week and they never disappoint. The staff is always friendly and the food is delicious. The poblano soup and sandwiches were definitely missed while you were gone. Keep up the great work! -Your friends at 42° Below
