Another lovely lunch at the White Horse (followed by a delicious mini dessert + coffee - pictured) - this is one of my favourite local pubs for dining, especially when the weather is good and we can sit outside. Great menu with plenty of choice, I had the chicken and pepper nourishing bowl which was really tasty. Plenty of outdoor seating, they welcome dogs and the staff were extremely attentive, as always. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic Christmas meal for a table of 10 guests. The food was absolutely delicious and the service exceptional with special mention to our waiter Dan. The pub was the perfect place with for a cosy meal. It's a five star from us 🤩

We took my Mum here for Sunday lunch and we all enjoyed the food which was excellent. They also do smaller size portions if you have a smaller appetite. My Mum and I had this and it was just right for us. My husband had the full plate which had quite a lot more meat on it so it would definitely have been too much for me. The atmosphere and surroundings are very comfortable and relaxing. Overall, great value for money and we will definitely go again when we are visiting my Mum.

Really nice country pub. The ambiance is really classy and provides a warm, comfortable and welcoming feeling. The staff is really friendly and the food is delicious! Offers both indoor and outdoor seating. It has a really nice outdoor party area as well. Ample parking available. Fair selection for vegetarian and vegan food!

This is the second time we have chosen the White Horse for our group of five friends get together for lunch. It was easy to book, the range of dishes on the menu is extensive and the service was efficient. My wife has a small appetite so she asked our waiter, William, for a small portion. He said portions were fairly standard but he would pass the request to the kitchen. When the food came it was a small portion, just the right size, thus avoiding wastage of food. Very impressive! There was also a good range of drinks including five non-alcoholic beers.

I would highly recommend The White Horse in Bourne End. All the staff are always very friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. I had the Wagu Burger and it is up there with one of the best Burgers I have ever had. All my family really enjoyed their meals. Our dog also had a nice time as he is made very welcome. A nice touch is the K9 menu which our dog loved. We will definitely go back to The White Horse as soon as we can. 👍

We feel so lucky to have the White Horse as our local. We have been twice this last week. Both times and infact every time we visit we have had a superb meal with the best service. A warm welcome in a lovely country pub awaits and we guarantee that you will not be disappointed!

Just fantastic, cannot praise the team here enough! Had two Christmas lunches, one group of 10 and one of 20 and everyone was just thrilled with the food and service. Great country pub that allows well behaved dogs so we took our Frenchie Joey. Extensive pub menu and food very good. Place was clean and tidy and service efficient with a smile. My mum always told me to check the toilets and they were sparkling 😀 Joey will be back soon🐕

One of the best roasts around with a friendly service too. I had the Turkey this time was very good and the cauliflower cheese was best I've had (apart from my 😉😋)

I had some appetizers and main and wine. Main dish was beef pie with mashed potatoes. It was amazing but it was little bit too salty.

Came here for a roast with my family on Easter Sunday and it was absolutely incredible. The service was impeccable, they had everything on the menu and didn't run out of any meal options. Service was prompt, food was hot and perfect. Lilly-Anne was our server and she went over and beyond with the service and we were never waiting for anything. Would recommend a million percent and will go again and again. The Yorkshire puddings were the best I have ever had

Came here for a Sunday veggie roast my son and grandad had the chicken. It was so nice!!! 10/10. Such a lovely pub and great staff. Excellent service. I will be back soon. Thank you.

Lovely meal with the family, the food was nice in general but the calamari was rubbery and over cooked. The carrots that came with the roast were rock hard and had trouble cutting them.

Popped into the White Horse for a Sunday roast last week and ordered the lamb shoulder to share. The food was very tasty and excellent value. Ben was our server and he was excellent, thank you Ben. The pub was very busy and we were tucked away in the back corner, which took away from the atmosphere slightly, but otherwise great. Would recommend.

First time going with my family, and we’ve all agreed it’s the best roast we’ve ever had! Not the mention the delicious starters and desserts. The staff were polite and friendly, always around if we needed anything. The food and drinks arrived quickly, and so delicious. I think this will be our new favourite place!

Just had the most amazing Sunday roast here today. Absolutely delicious…best I’ve had in a long while. Large portions and gorgeous gravy! Desserts pretty special too…I could have had them all :-) All the staff were great - but a special mention to our waiter William - attentive and friendly…thank you 🙏🏼 Highly recommend.

We turned up here on our way back from somewhere hoping they could cater for my niece's plethora of allergies and my plant based diet. They did not disappoint. They managed to squeeze us into a table without a reservation through pure luck and we spoke to the waitress about allergies who immediately sent over the manager who could not do enough for us. Every question about the food was either a very knowing yes or a quick check back to the kitchen. It was very reassuring to have someone who knows their kitchen and food so well. After several questions he was able to put together an order for a meal that would suit my niece's needs (this was definitely not on the menu, but they did what they could to help). The food came and was very nice, the service was fast and efficient, the staff friendly and welcoming. Could not ask for more from a pub that does grub! Would 100% recommend and will definitely go back.

Food was great - plenty for big appetite, hot food on warm plates. It is family friendly and dogs are welcome. Staff were friendly and helpful, but at times service felt a bit slow. However, fitted well with our needs and I suspect if you want service, the staff would have responded. Overall a great meal and would recommend and will visit again.

Booked here for a Christmas meal with some colleagues after being highly recommended. We had a fantastic evening! The food was delicious and well portioned, the staff were wonderful and the pub itself is gorgeous. I will definitely be returning to try some non-Christmas fare :)

My Mother and I visited the White Horse for lunch whilst we were in London visiting family and we really liked this restaurant. It was a beautiful little place with an on site car park and had an interesting menu which was nice to see. It was quite cold inside and the food was hit or miss, but mainly delicious. The staff were wonderful and quick to resolve any issues, they made sure everything was alright for us and Carl in particular was an absolute star and a credit to the establishment. Next time we are in the city we will be sure to visit again

If you’re looking for a Sunday lunch, look no further. I first came here after recommendations from the local Facebook group. I was not disappointed. After ordering our roasts, they literally came in 2.5 seconds, even before our drinks! Can’t be good then you say? My gosh, it was everything and more! Was it a fluke? I thought I’d try it again just to see if it just so happened to be that day, and yet again, 4 minutes after ordering, our roasts arrived. Cooked to perfection, meat perfectly cooked, so flavoursome, perfectly fluffy Yorkshire, potatoes to die for. 1000% will be back - you should try it too!

Fantastic food, really well priced. The gardens are large so you don't feel like you are on top of each other. It's a real hidden gem and I will 100% be returning. The staff were lovely and really helpful. Would absolutely recommend the White Horse for families and couples alike.

We visited for lunchtime today and were so impressed with the pub as a whole. Very accommodating and understanding of the needs of a 3 yo on his first holiday, offering alternative seating space that was less overwhelming and giving him a little area to play if needed. With our baby being dairy intolerant, they went above and beyond providing a delicious meal for me that wasn’t missing any components and is the best allergen service I have had anywhere to date since having to cut dairy and soya from my diet. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful, all the meals were great and the outdoor areas were beautifully kept. Highly recommend this place for families and anyone looking for a good meal.

Pub , has 3 areas, the pub building itself which is large and open and clean.Outside has a sufficient car park, with several tables on hard surface with staff allocated to attend to these tables, at the rear of the car park is a large grassed area fenced with tables and a small children's area,again this has staff to take orders and deliver to the table. 1st time here as thus is a dog friendly pub had a 2 course meal , only took photo of main course Sunday roast beef dinner. Well worth a visit,especially now we have the freedom to go out and about again.

Lovely meal. Not cheap but reasonable for a quality, well presented meal. Big pub with cosy nooks and open fire place. Twinkling lights. Big garden to sit and eat in. Friendly staff.

The white was excellent, the staff could not do enough to make sure things were OK with our meals. My wife didn't really like one dish, it wasn't badly cooked but it just wasn't for her. When the staff member came to collect he asked if there was something wrong with it and was told no. The staff member said if anything was wrong at all they would have changed it for an alternative. Very professional.

Second time visited and the same excellent standard of service was offered all the way through our stay. Can't recommend this establishment enough. A great team with smiles to serve you with what you wish. Definitely going again and strongly recommend. Great job guys! ( Again!) 😁👍👏👏👏👏

Superb food, really enjoyed my steak and ale pie. Very good service, attentive but not rushed. Rest of my family enjoyed their food too. Another plus, food was served hot, not lukewarm. Well done to all involved in providing the service. Will go back again.
