A wonderful treat for my 53rd birthday by my kind (and very experienced) daughter! Staff super-friendly and helpful. When I booked myself in, a very nice member of staff wished me a happy birthday! It made my day! Huge variety of "problems" to suit all levels. The early levels were great confidence builders and I soon became bolder, but still within my modest abilities. It was nice to finish our session with teas and coffees. An amazing all-round experience. Thank you.

Best place to spend your time in Leicester! Whether you've ever climbed or not this is definitely worth a visit. If you live in Leicester then it's never too late to give it a try? Lovely place, you have so much fun climbing and at the same time you make so many friends. No joke but you will just happen to talk to other people you don't know, it's just like some kind of magical power this place have. Especially if you come here by yourself I can guarantee you by the end of the session you will find yourself making a few new friends!

Took our 5 year old daughter for her first climb. We haven't climbed for a long time and it was great to start again. Our daughter loved it so hopefully it is a family event from now on. Staff were great, really friendly and professional. The safety briefing was done really well. They were very busy and just 2 of them but they managed everything and everyone really well. Thank you x

Loved our visit here. Came with as a family of four, all looking pretty hopeless, but there was a good induction and we were made to feel very welcome. Amazing coffee too.

First time coming to social climbing and it was a really good experience. Started with a quick induction from the friendly instructors who explained the course and the different difficulty levels as well as some quick tips. The course has lots of different routes to climb ranging from beginner to expert ability. There are even 2 speed walls to challenge yourself. The venue is clean and very hygienic. There are changing rooms, lockers and toilets too with showers !!

Friendly and helpful staff guiding you during your orientation as a first timer there. The walls are generally not very beginner friendly other than the first level ones (green stones) but I love the variety of walls to climb!

My son (9) and husband (53) have been climbing here for a while and they really enjoy it. I've been a couple of times now and really enjoy it too. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It's a whole body work out for sure. They change the walls round often so you will never get bored.

Nice modern looking bouldering location. Very fun for beginners like me and its somewhat competitive price. Use student discount if you can. They have plenty of beginner climbs that are easy and challenging for beginners.

Quite complicated to get started, prices different from website on entry and very dirty environment. Instructor was well informed and friendly but some others were a bit stand offish. They ran out of certain shoe sizes so my kid had to use the wrong size. Slightly chaotic atmosphere but still an interesting offer. Will try it again though and see if ut was just a super busy day when I went.

Very impressed with the experience here. Took the children for a end of half term treat and to say they loved it was an understatement. Really great staff who are a credit to the place and we will be back very soon! Thank you

Awesome little climbing center and the staff are super friendly. If you've wanted to try climbing then a great place to go. Perfectly good too for more experienced climbers with lots of tricky climbs.

A great venue for all ages and abilities. The facilities could do with updating/being cleaned more regularly, though. We went the day before a competition was taking place and one of the walls was out of bounds. It would be good if they put this on their website.

Social Climbing is a great bouldering center in Leicester and can be easily reached from the Highcross car park in a couple of minutes. The bouldering center is well priced and equipment of a very good standard. There is a regular schedule for the problems being changed and they have got this just right as they are there for long enough to be able to complete them but not so long that they become stale. Each problem is graded and identified by the colour of the holds and this really helps when progressing and improving. There are toilets and shower facilities which are of a good standard and clean. The customers are a wide range of ages and abilities and anyone from a beginner upwards is catered for. They sell drinks and a few snacks on the desk. The staff are very friendly and helpful as are the other customers. A great place to boulder.

I was here about 18months ago and was very impressed with the venue, but only left a 4star review due to their opening times. Went back today and was very happy to see that they now open from 6am Tuesday and Thursday now.

This is one where of the best climbing places in East Midlands reasonable priced, one wall get changed every week so always new climbs but they also stay long enough to try and do it. They take safety well and they I’ll train new people and it’s good for young people too

Took 6yo for climbing/teaching session on Sat morning. He loved it and can’t wait to go back. Staff friendly and helpful. Could improve by getting rid of the strong feet smell :/ and more seating.

Great place to climb! Loads of fun, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Setting is awesome and always something g new to climb. Only 4 start not 5 because of the opening hours. 12pm opening is far too late, I'd be there at 8am twice a week if it was open earlier! Also... Joe the manager is amazing!

Took a beginner’s class after a long time out so I could get back into the swing of things. Really helpful, friendly and supportive instructor who was happy to challenge me, and push me further. Always felt safe, and the centre was busy with people of all ages and abilities.

Goid levels of climbing to suit all shapes sizes, abilities and ages. Friendly staff and just good old fashion fun with friends. Does live up to its name being a social place to meet new people, challenge and improve your technique. Great for groups or just a place to lose yourself for a few hours.

Its a nice location, fairly big with average pricing for a climbing centre. They have a nice range of equipment and some great merch, and polite staff. I’ve climbed a lot of different gyms and this is the first I didn’t get on with at all, although a lot of that can be personal preference (we didn’t enjoy some of the route setting) there are a few points that may be useful for others when deciding whether to visit. The walls have been left to go shiny, and not repainted to maintain the grippy surface, this is a major one for me as my preference is on being able to smear as I’m more of a static climber. We found a lot of greasy hold, particularly foot holds which were really slippy and made routes much harder, particularly at the start of routes. The facilities were nice, modern fittings and fairly clean for afternoon on a Saturday, but toilets both had showers in, so if someone was using the shower it could mean waiting a while, but then after they left the floor was completely soaked. We are sad we didn’t like it more as its a nice space.

I came climbing 2-3 times a week for a couple months. It's a nice place with nice equipments, the staff is also nice. It is however often a bit too crowded mostly right after the beginning of uni semesters. It also lacks proper changing rooms and showers. But overall, it's a nice place.

Birthday party, communication was good and staff member leading the kids around was very friendly and helpful. Was quite busy when we got there but was getting quieter when we left. Will definitely be back for more climbing!

Staff are so nice!!! and high- floor height. They have various climbing problems for each level, even the zone for practicing endurance. But they don’t have washing hands/feet area. They have tho, difficult to use it. I guess it is not made for washing feet.
