PSA: To any of my AUTHENTIC restaurant lovers. I found a little hidden gem in Wilkes Barre and I HAD to share with you guys. My Little Mexico, a small business you’ve probably passed many of times, has made the BEST and most fresh mexican dishes I’ve ever eaten. I’ve tried every mexican spot Google has recommended to me on my phone and NOTHING compares. Everything they make is prepared FRESH and delicious as you order. From homemade tortillas for their tacos to the homemade salsas and guacamole all the way to their NEXT LEVEL mexican dishes, which have been consistently tasty and fresh. I can not emphasize enough how great this place is. Next time you are in Wilkes Barre, do yourself a huge favor and stop by for some of the best food you’ve ever eaten!!

Great find off the highway. My wife and I look for these places when we travel and glad we stopped here. The steak burrito and steak tacos were delicious. We agreed the burrito edged out the tacos. The menudo was authentic - it's much better than you might think! We also had some churros which was good. Even the salsa served with chips is much better than you'd get at the standard Mexican restaurants. I would wager this is one of the better Mexican restaurants in a 50 mile radius. It is also BYOB! The staff was courteous and helpful. They said the location had only been open a year. The bathrooms were clean. It's a solid 5 star for NEPA food. Only one downside which is not a fault of the restaurant. All the food delivery services which pickup here park handicap or between the handicap parking spots render the ramp up to the sidewalk obstructed. Otherwise a very wheelchair friend restaurant.

The rice was soooooo good. And the taco carnitas were delicious! We also ordered the usual: quesadilla, beans, tacos of chorizo, etc. They did not have pico de gallo, so I am finally convinced that it is not a staple of authentic Mexican food, so I am ok with that. The corn tacos were single layered - not like in El Limon, but they had a considerably large amount of meat, as you can see in the pictures. We arrived at an unusual time -about 3:30 pm, so the place was empty. Yes, we were served almost immediately, and everything looked -and tasted- fresh.

Fantastic experience in a beautiful and bright restaurant. The Tacos Al pastor and Torta asada were perfect. Authentic hand made corn tortillas with tender and flavorful meat. I could’ve eaten one of each taco on the menu! The torta was so fresh, crunchy bread and the perfect balance of each ingredient. They also served fresh made chips and salsa for our short wait. Must try if you love a friendly environment and incredible Mexican food.

I’ll give it 3 stars because the food was ok tasting and the people were really nice. Unfortunately, it could have been much better. We ordered water to drink and were brought bottles, which we were charged for. No biggie, but a heads up would have been nice that they don’t offer any tap water. The service was odd. Tables that came in after us got their food before us. I saw other tables where half of the people had finished their meals when the other half were just getting there’s. The food is tasty but there is an over abundance of raw onion in everything. Even our $5 guacamole consisted mostly of raw onion chunks. The food was very salty. The homemade corn tortillas were delicious. The bathroom floor was sticky. If you choose to give it a try and don’t love onion ask for any onion to be served on the side. Unless you really like onions, pass on the guacamole.

We loved this place. Picture is incomplete because it was after eating I realized I had to share how delicious and authentic their food is from the drinks too the freshly made salsa for the tortilla ships and tacos. Everything had the right type of seasoning and heat 🤩

Today was our first time coming here. The lady that took care of us was super sweet. I had the carne asada burrito (I'm not plant based anymore lol) and my husband, who remained in the car with our dog, ordered the carne asada torta and fries.... Oh my goodness! Everything was so delicious (husband brought his food home), fresh ingredients, and excellent service. The interior of the restaurant is really pretty too. This place is now my favorite Mexican restaurant spot and we will be back 😍 I hope to see them prosper. It truly is a hidden gem in Wilkes Barre!!!

I ordered steak taco for take out for my son after school . when He get home , I open that , there’s terrible tacos like that , no sauce , no cheese no lettuce. No flavor on steaks, even no salt . I guess the chef forgot to put the seasoning ,these are the worst tacos I had ever seen , I won’t come back. And waste my money.

This is one of the most authentic Mexican experiences outside Mexico itself. Ambience could be a bit more interesting but the food and service are amazing. Seafood soup is genuinely perfect! I will come back many times. Owners are from beautiful Puebla, Mexico and are the real deal.

Gabrielle is simply charming!!! Food is freshly made with fresh ingredients and absolutely phenomenal. I think the only reason they're not slammed is their location; set back in a strip mall. if you're in the mood for REAL MEXICAN FOOD, fine My Little Mexico!!! You won't be disappointed!!!

Had the enchiladas with rice, beans and quacamole. The food was Delicious!!! After ordering I smelled someone elses food. The Mojarra! I'll be trying that next time. It smelled like heaven. You have to try the wings with the house sauce. Incredible!!!

Good place. Good Mexican flavors. Authentic cooking. The place is simple and not to eat welcoming for a restaurant. But the food makes up for anything. Real Mexican flavors cooking

Delicious authentic Mexican, I chose Tacos Al Pastor for lunch. Excellent, not too spicy, just right for my taste. Generous portion of pork and pineapple with cilantro and onion. Friendly servers, nice clean restaurant. Chips and salsa were good also, the salsa just a bit hot, but not too hot. Worth a try, I will be back.

I would really like to give this restaurant 5 stars, the food is great, the family who runs it are kind the issue is we have been there several times and they always play very loud high energy percussive music, it frankly is so disturbing for us that we will likely not go back. However let me emphasize the food and service are 5 star quality

Good but not great. The guacamole is more like pico de Gallo with a few chunks of avocado. It was mostly onions cilantro and tomatoes. The tinga tacos were good. Take out service was fast.
