“Perth’s best pond shop” far from it, I went in there to purchase a few new fish for my pond only to be talked down to and told the fish I wanted where unsuitable for a pond and they refused to sell them to me, little did they know I actually work at a fish/pond shop+ pet shop. The fish I wanted we keep outdoors all year round where I work with no issue at all, I thought I would go support a local business near my house but they lost a sale and a future customer

Poor service but being local try to support small business as I have a retail business and wanted to try one last time. Owner was more interested in stuffing her face with food rather than help customers. We paid twice the price of Bunnings as I thought the aquarium part would be fitted. Apparently no tools lol 😂. I asked twice to purchase three Cichlids from the owners daughter and no help was offered. I then asked how much no reply. I tried to even make conversation and was put down with a very rude negative comment. I left the shop as I was discussed with the poor experience and said I’m busy I will come back later for my repair. The repair was not done and god knows why I felt obligated to by the part for double the price, for three fish I was told $78.00. Went down to Avid Aquariums in Kelmscott, they fixed my broken appliance with parts I didn’t even purchase there as I purchased the three same fish but double the size for $47.00. Avoid this business fish we purchased prior ‘tropical I had never had before’ ate each other as the owners son sold me fish that do not get along. They love selling chemicals that you do not need that harm fish longterm - shorten life span and wow harm the environment. I have been keeping Cichlids and breeding for 40 years the team and owner have very poor knowledge of fish. The service is most lack lustre. If my staff ever ate food at the counter let alone provide poor service ummm they know is unprofessional and bloody arrogant

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came in to find some items that I saw as available on their website. After several attempts to contact the store to see if they were in stock, I decided to drive down anyway. Got to the store and asked the young girl for the items I was after. She proceeded to yell at the top of her lungs across the store for her Mum to help. They both said they would check for the stock and while I waited I decided to look at the fish. After waiting for several minutes I found them both at the counter having a catch up with a local and wouldnt even give me the time of day. I was ready to spend a substantial amount of money but ended up walking out. BUYER BEWARE THE WEBSITE LOOKS 100% BETTER THAN THE SHOP water all over the floor. Trip hazards and overall bad customer service. Took my business to the awesome man at Morley Aquariums.

I came here to get some fantails. I was shocked to see that at least half of the fish in the tank was dead. It was not very appealing. I thought that maybe they just hadn't cleaned out the tank that day but now, after a few days, the fish that I bought from them are dead and so are the fish that I had before. All of the fish that I bought were from this shop and they are always dying a few days after. It has only occurred to me now that maybe the fish in the shop aren't as healthy as they're supposed to be. I will not be buying any more fish from here.

Thought I would drop in to eQuaria in Gosnells to grab 2 Sm goldfish.....omg never have I seen so many empty tanks and the full ones with no fish smelled. The tanks with fish were Filthy and full of sick fish both tropical and cold water. I asked about the tanks and fish and wasted she can't be bothered putting in an order and hadn't for months......I was disgusted and left. Never again

We went to the shop today to buy pond sponges for a pond filter and were told they didn't sell them separately. They weren't in a pack of 3 they ended up costing $75 because they don't sell them separately when we only wanted 1 .The young chap that was working there didn't help us at all and we found that the shop had a very stale odor with no customers in there. The store is not a patch from the previous owner. We would not recommend this place to anyone who asked. I'll be going to a different shop from now on.

Be ultra careful doing business with these guys. purchased 4 x tanks - waited over 2 weeks to become available which was fine - then was given a days notice to collect, which I couldn't as I was away. Kindly they offered me a refund, which I accepted. however another 2 weeks has passed and still no refund and now they wont respond to msgs. Buy at your own risk.

I have been buying fish and all my aquarium supplies from Robbs for quite a while now. Pretty much all fish for my tanks at home as well as my office have been purchased from them. The quality is always the highest and they definitely have the best range of fish in perth. Service is second to none, highly recommend.

Bought some black Emperor tetra from this store. Within 24 hours 4 out of 6 died. My water parameters are fine, fish bought from other stores on the same day are also doing really well. When dealing with staff and explaining this I got a "not our problem, you bought it, your problem" attitude which I thought was very poor and not in keeping with most other stores in the trade. Will not be returning

So I brought a fighting fish from this shop plus a “pre set temperature” thing to make sure the fish tank was warm. My nana ONLY had it for less than 24 hours and it’s dead. Would NOT recommend buying a fish from here. Very disappointed.

Unprofessional and cost us a fortune in the end. We bought a couple plants and fish from them and took them home to our happy and healthy tank (400lt) The plants where full of snails (that can self reproduce at an alarming rate and cause ammonia to sky rocket) We found out to late and 2 of the fish passed away within the first couple of days 2 black Widow tetras and I noticed they have a huge under bite (not sure if that contributed to their death) Now I'm still trying to get rid of the snails and recover the damages to my tank

Unprofessional. Drove for over an hour after being told by phone they had a pump in stock - last one. When I was in store ready to hand over my $695 I asked about the warranty. Store assistant checked with supplier then checked with "the boss out the back" then said oh I can't sell it to you as the warranty can't be honoured because the supplier has stopped making them . I offered to pay a reduced price and agree to forgo the warranty but no, she said she can't sell it!! Far out, you could have checked that BEFORE I drove an hour to you and then be left without a pump. She couldn't have cared less. Terrible. Would NOT recommend this place.

Unprofessional and unethical. Wanted to by an automatic fish feeder. I first made a phone call to enquire. The woman checked and said they had two, one at $174 and the other at $54. I paid the store a visit to check them both out. A young lad served me. I was shown one priced at $54 and the other at $84. Both had prices marked on the boxes. I said I would have the $84 one. Was just being told by the young lad serving me that the box was a bit shabby. Suddenly a woman appeared out of nowhere saying the price was $174, as the replacement price, to her, for this particular feeder had gone up, and if she sold it at the $84 marked price now, she would go out of business. I looked on line on my phone and could see far cheaper prices for that feeder all over the Internet. I pointed this out, and the woman said we don’t price match and ours is available now, and if you want to buy from the Internet you will have to wait for it to arrive and it could come through the post damaged. She said, if you want to buy from the Internet then I am happy for you to do so.. I was flabbergasted with the attitude, and the way they had tried to sell old stock priced on the shelf at $84 for $174. I said i would leave it, and walked out of the shop knowing if they speak to their customers this way, and treat them this way, they will be driving themselves out of business. I sat in my car googled, to find the same feeder at a fraction of the price just 15 minutes drive away. So off I went to collect. I will never go back to this Gosnells store again. Reading reviews from others on here, I can see that my experience was not unique.

I should have read the reviews before trying to purchase. Don't deal with this company. I was looking for a pond and saw the free shipping and ordered the pond. Immediately, I received the order confirmation and I saw that it had local pick up. As I live in Qld and the company is in Western Australia I called immediately and was informed that the order goes to their supplier and then the delivery cost is added to the cost. I asked to cancel the order and was informed that it would cost me $20.00 even though I had only just placed the order. The person on the phone was very short and rude stating that I should have read their refund policy. A lesson for me but I warn others to avoid dealing with this company.

Tried to buy something on their website and it said pond products were pickup-only. No worries. Except google maps doesn’t have their address listed and the only reference I could find to *where their store is* on their website was ‘Gosnells’. Please put your address on google maps and/or the ‘about’ or ‘faq’ or ‘contact’ page of your website.

Over the years l have spent hundreds & hundreds of dollars at Robs, lately every fish l buy just dies within days. I only brought fish on the weekend and it is now Wednesday and l have had 8 die. Not happy, as they were not cheep fish. There is nothing wrong with my tank as l have had this tested by many places including Robs. They definitely have the gift of the gab and many have told me they would not buy from them. They also take no responsibility for selling fish that die within days. Everyday at the moment l loose fish that l have brought from them. NO HAPPY. Unfortunately there is no way of knowing what you are buying and the condition of the fish.

We picked up two gouramis and a fighter in the last 2 days. The help has been very prompt and we have been given concise advice. We're now aware we have to increase the water temperature of our tank so we can get some clown loaches next!

Has a large range of fish stock that is always changing. Can tell the fish are cared for properly as most fish always seem in perfect health. All the staff are highly knowledgeable and really seem to care that you get what you need, and even remember you and what fish you already have. If you have any questions or want to purchase any fish I would highly recommend them. But do note they can get quite busy middays on weekends.

Purchased fish from Robs on two different occasions, a 3-4 months apart, both times I've spent over $100 and both times have come home with fish with white spot / ich! Be very careful, they have a no return policy too.

Ordered some other things from their website and they came with the tank (within 24 hours). Dealt directly with owners not (just employees making a sale) for excellent customer service. Will be buying here again. Had trouble with an air pump after this whole covid thing broke out. Was looking at doing the warranty thing and driving across Perth. Completely surprised when Shona arrived on my door with the parts to fix free of charge. More than happy to recommend an aussie owned and run family business with this level of customer service!!!

I dropped in looking for a 19” rubber hose to replace my broken kiteboarding pump hose. Although eQuaria didn’t have any 19” hose in stock, the owner (Steve?) gave me an old piece of slightly wider hose and helped me remove my kite adaptors from the old hose and affix them to the new hose. He wouldn’t accept any money for the parts or his help. I had spent many hours trying different solutions to no avail - until I walked into eQuaria. Wish more people were willing to help others as eQuaria helped me! Thanks again!

The family that owns/runs this place are lovely. They helped us so much when we took our sick fish in for help. They helped our fish as best as they could and helped us figure out the cause. Unfortunately our fish didn't make it, he was too far gone by the time we got help. They have a beautiful range of aquarium plants, accessories, necessities and fish. This place will be our go to place for all things fish/aquariums

I showed him a photo of my tank and explained my set-up and he expertly showed me the best solution to fill my tank with life. Cost me a lot less than I expected too. Very helpful staff, answered any questions I had and gave me great advice. Can be easy to miss when driving down the road but is a good place to go to for general fish supplies and water testing. I enjoyed looking at the fish there such as the eel (which looks like one of the store's display fish). Got a fish reserved which I'm excited to get.This place is local for me and I'll be sure to see them more often. :) It's a shame that some people leaving reviews here are not so understanding when the shop is busy rearranging and restocking.

Exceptional service from a local family ran business, top quality fish with new and exciting products coming into the store almost weekly! Definitely one of the biggest and most competitive marine, tropical and cold water aquarium specialists in Western Australia.

I went in to the shop with limited knowledge on what I wanted. Spoke to a lady who was extremely helpful she worked out what I needed for a backyard pond provided a quote and even adjusted it to make it cheaper. They provided free delivery and followed up with emails to check I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend them and will be going back to purchase fish when I am set up.
