Beautiful park. We let the dogs run around and hung out by the beach. So peaceful. Bathroom clean and accessible. 10/10. Cant wait to go back!

Great dog beach in the Traverse area! We had a great experience here and so did the pups. We rented a shelter and it was a good space to setup our items and dog crates for the day. Water was crystal clear and beautiful. It's a little rocky but nothing water shoes can't help with. A couple things to note: to rent one of the shelters like we did, you have to MAIL a CHECK. I don't own checks because it's 2022 so I found this to be an issue. I sent a money order instead and that was ok. There was an area of the beach near us with lots of dead fish so we had to be careful to not let the dogs near them.

Decent boat launch with moderate amount of parking. The launching/loading can get a bit backed up because there’s only 1 ramp and there seemed to be a lot of inexperienced boaters holding up the process.

This is a nice sandy beach. We loved it. The beach and the water is clean. We can recommend it to visit.

Great park for family, pets and activities. I didn't enter any of the facilities. It has a picnic area, playground, and fresh beach. Boat launch is 5 bucks. It's wooded and spacious. This park has everything you need. To make reservations for events you do call ahead and make appointment.

Decent boat launch but only one side. Causes massive backups and the dock is rather short. There is room for two sides, so not sure why they didn't make it that way.

The boat launch is $5 per use. You fill out the envelope upon arrival. I have only used this launch non- weekends so it wasn't too crowded. I understand it gets very crowded on weekends. Nice launch on beautiful Grand Traverse Bay, which can get pretty wavy and windy later in the day.

We have our Family Reunions here. Awesome place to gather. Plenty of tables and close to Public Restrooms. Very well kept!!!

Great beach with a nice park, some spots to grill, and even have larger parties! Beautiful views as well! Only downside is it's very rocky in the water, which is great for rockhounds but the kids weren't super keen to keep stepping on the stones!

This was a great find a friend stopped in and we joined. Very nice beach lots of rocks for hunting. Boat ramp also $5 for boat ramp use.

Love it. Big beach. Little playground for the kids. We were surprised to find the bathrooms locked on a Tuesday afternoon though. So that wasn’t great.

It's a decent single launch but they've already pulled the dock in mid-october. They don't seem to understand the needs of fishermen.

👍👍 It’s always a good day when you can hike at Maple Bay. The beach area is amazing in the summer and the shoreline and woods are always a great place for a walk. Just finished a snowshoe hike down to Petobego Pond. The wind was howling but the bay was beautiful.
