Very fun restaurant to head to before a Minnesota Wild game. It was packed with people that were in two different lines, one for sandwiches and one for pizzas. We ordered potato salad and a Cesar salad. Both were delicious. I'd like to come back and try their pizza next time! Their pasta looked tasty as well. There was a bakery that I want to check out too! The upstairs is where you eat and it was a fun crowd before the game.

We went in before a Wild game, we were hungry and wanted a couple drinks before the game. Very busy but in an orderly way. We ordered the meatballs and spinach dip. Both full of flavor and filling. Drinks were strong and not too expensive. Overall a good place to eat and drink at

Everything her is amazing! A little on the pricey side, but well worth the price. The glaze is perfect as it has that mirror finish you look for. The apple Danish was good without being too sweet. The red velvet cupcake left some room to be desired. Not the best, but slightly above average. The cream cheese was the best cream cheese I have ever had. I wasn't too sweet like most cream cheeses are, but yet it had a good creamy texture. The amount you get looks like a lot, but it is enough because of how good it is. I recommend this place for the bakery.

Cossetta is one of my favorite restaurants. Although all of the various pasta dishes and other fare are superb, the pizza reigns supreme. I like getting one slice of each kind available, which is; cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the special. Pro tip: cut each slice into two pieces so you can fit all four types of pizza on your plate at once. The pizza bianca is also delicious. Go to the connected market and see for yourself. Pro tip #2: stock up on frozen pizzas from the market so you always have Cossetta on hand at home.

It's neat, go here! Older building and old-school window themes. They have cafeteria style food counters for warm food ready to plate, but if I'm honest the two meals we had through the cafeteria line tasted like generic Sysco ingredients and diner quality. Not worth it nor authentic, and it's incredibly expensive for what you get (or don't as is the case). The dessert/patisserie room though is awesome! Plus a cute little Italian market awaits you in toward the rear of the building away from the mass cafeteria crowds. The market has fresh made items like breads, pastas, sauces, etc. that you can take and bake yourself at home, plus the people who made them to answer questions about it.

I just love the food and the sweets I had there. And the building itself is so beautiful and with lots of history. There’s also a little market inside where you will find many imported items from Italy. I will definitely go back!

I used to go here as a kid, and I loved it...but I hadn't been back in a long time. After we went to the Science Museum as a family...we then headed here for dinner. Everything tasted absolutely amazing! It's definitely worth going if you haven't experienced it. When you go...try several things from the menu.

One of my fave restaurants. Food is always amazing. Big portions. Mostaccoli and pizza is the best. Good meatballs. Love the atmosphere. It's a bit busy and chaotic but adds to the excitement lol. The bakery has great things as well

This place was awesome, went on a Monday afternoon so it was not too busy, they had so many food options and the bakery was great. Large seating section. Definitely looking forward to going back soon.

I definitely suggest coming here! The building includes three restaurants, an Italian market, and a pastry/ice cream shop! The main floor restaurant is casual, cafeteria-style and has options ranging from salads and sandwiches to pasta and pizza. Most of the food looks great, and we certainly hope you come back! We had some pasta dishes (that come with garlic bread), and they were fresh and very tasty! The tables on the main floor are a bit small, but it seems like the ones on the second floor are bigger. My only complaint is that the silverware and plates are plastic; I would have preferred the option of actual tableware. Be sure to stop by the market, and definitely don’t forget to try some pastries! They are amazing!

We went before the Minnesota Wild Hockey Game. 🏒 I highly recommend going! We arrived at 5pm. We had smaller lines and a place to sit. By 6pm the lines were out the door. I could eat here everyday for 3 months and likely never eat the same thing twice!! Great food and WONDERFUL STAFF! They also serve CocaCola in a glass bottle! The desserts are just a yummy. 😋 Save Room!! Think Italian 🤔 💭 Yes! Eat Italian!

Cossetta is such a fun experience! The food is delicious, with numerous options of salad, sandwiches, pasta, and pizza. I highly recommend eating on the upstairs patio and enjoying views of the city. After dinner or lunch, be sure to explore the Italian market and to grab dessert from the Pasticceria. If you want to escape Minnesota and have a taste of Italy (without the cost of a plane ticket), Cossetta is the place to go!

Amazing food! I’ve been craving Cossetta for a while and finally was able to come back. When arriving the line was extremely long; I believe the wait was approximately 20-25 minutes however the staff did their absolute best to keep the lining moving. I ordered pasta and pizza and everything tasted very fresh and hot! I love the outdoor patio seating as well. You have a great view of downtown Saint Paul and it’s always a great time people watching. I would definitely return! Probably one of the best Italian restaurants in MN. There’s tons of options; there’s a bakery, grocery store, restaurant, and ice cream shop all in one.

This place is so cute, with a verry warm atmosphere. The food is absolutely delicious, and I highly recommended the lasagna, its popular for good reason, some of the best lasagna I've eaten. The whole building I believe also has a bakery and a small market(?). The ordering experience is unique and resembles a school lunch line, you order your food and they hand it to you in a little package, then you go to pay. I highly recommend this place even if parking is a little difficult, and if its a little full.

Cossetta is good, it’s fine for a quick bite when you’re in a rush. It’s not a place I would drive a long distance for. I do like how they are set up, come in grab your tray and order your food. Keep moving- essentially a cafeteria that serves Italian food. Find a seat on the first floor or venture upstairs, sit on the patio, bus your own table. The highlight of my visits to Cossetta is always the patisserie. The case is full of decadent treats, beautifully arrange- there are so many choices I’ll have to come back to try more. It’s always fun to sip coffee while eating a dessert. The grocery store is fun. So many different choices to perfect your Italian dishes at home.

I haven't been to Cossetta in a number of years, but when I resided in St. Paul I had the opportunity to visit. My parents & I had such a great experience that I'm giving them a 5-star review now! :-) We didn't dine-in, but we did visit their market to pick-up some Italian cookies. Just, wow. So many incredible Italian delicacies available, and the store is set-up really beautifully. The staff are so nice too. I will definitely return if I'm ever back in MPLS/SP!

Amazing pizzeria, bakery, grocery store with deli for all your Italian needs all in one place. Very warm and cozy setting. This time I only bought some imported Mortadella, peasant bread and ate a slice of capricciosa. I will be back to try their other goodies like pastries, gelato and cakes. Highly recommend this place!

I had an absolutely amazing experience here. Upon arriving it looked as though we would have to pay to park to eat/shop here but when we pulled up the guy said if I was shopping or eating here I don’t have to pay to park. Which is great! There are a large variety of things to eat/buy here. I know the owners friends daughter and she said that the chefs get sent to Italy for a few weeks a year to learn home to homemake the gelato and you can 100% tell. It was the most fresh frozen/ cold desert I have ever had. It instantly reminded me of the lavender ice cream I had in Miami that is also made fresh. The grocery store had a very large selection, including an entire fresh area to buy premade meals, cheese, ready to eat meals and more. They have a bakery, which includes many lavish, treats, desserts, cakes, and more. We had some lasagna, pasta and pizza and they were all pretty great. Our favorite was the pizza. One thing I will say is that the business itself is extremely busy and reminded me of a mall. The staff was extremely friendly, and they were fully staffed, which is rare to see nowadays, which shows you how well they must treat the employees. To feed five people cost us $48 including dessert and we brought home left overs.

This place is absolutely incredible! The arrabbiata sauce is to die for and the atmosphere is enchanting. Only critique is the service/instruction. If you’ve never been there before it is incredibly confusing. Between the market, cafeteria, and restaurant split between the three floors and the food counters going every which way it took us quite a long time to figure anything out. And the staff is busy busy busy because there is a lot going on and a lot of people on every floor enjoying the magic that is this place. But once you manage to flag help down they are very nice. Can’t wait to go back and would definitely recommend!

A nice and authentic Italian restaurant, serving up many different kinds of good and simple food, plus they do buffet. The restaurant itself is very big and has a lot of nice memorabilia hung on the walls as well.

3.5 stars. Enjoyed our first time here. Great for large groups to go grab food cafeteria style. Signage could be better to explain where tables are for eating and what the menu items are exactly. I couldn’t find descriptions of the main courses so I wasn’t confident to order any of them. I chose a penne pasta with ricotta and red sauce. Ended up going BACK through the line bc I didn’t realize I could get meatballs with it (didn’t even see them the first time through). My husband got a meatball sub and said it REALLY needed some cheese but otherwise was good. The lady at the counter taking food orders was pretty unhelpful for a first-time customer. And she didn’t have a smile or seem like she wanted to be there at all. The guys cleaning the tables and serving water upstairs, however, were incredibly friendly, warm and really helped correct the negative tone I experienced in the food line. The huge selection of desserts were amazing! We got a few things but the lobster tail and chocolate covered orange peels are my personal recommendation. I ended up taking them home and enjoying them the next day for breakfast. YUM. A little expensive, IMO, for cafeteria style food. A small salad is 8.50 and no option for something smaller as a side. My pasta was $10 and meatballs were $4 EACH. They’re big meatballs but that price is a bit steep. I’d say 3 meatballs (what I had) is a good portion of protein for a meal. 2 if you tend to eat smaller portions. Parking was not great. The lot was full with cars lined into the street waiting to get in. There was an event at the excel center the same night so I’m not sure if this had any effect on the parking or if it’s always like that. I believe you pay $6.50 to park in their lot. Maybe it’s bc I’m from the south metro but I think parking should be free. We ended up going down a couple blocks and paying $20 to park so we didn’t have to wait. Overall, my family enjoyed it and we will be back.

Let me start saying that I have been a Cossetta's customer for nearly 20 years even before the Pasticceria opened. I have never given a bad review even though the food was not always the best and the pastry at times were soggy. Today 11/12/2023 was probably the worst customer service ever. We stopped at Cossetta to pick up some pastries but my son was hungry, thus, we purchased a slice of pizza. While I was ordering the pastries this teenager by the name of Angel came from behind the counter and went straight to my son and told him he couldn't eat pizza at that table. I immediately intervened and let the employee know that he was just waiting for me while I was ordering the pastries. He insisted he couldn't eat there! My son was literally at the table for 5 minutes, no other customers waiting to be sitted, there were plenty of other empty tables. It was obvious that this teenage boy "Angel" harrased my son simply because he was another teenager not knowing that mama bear was right there ordering pastries. I can understand if they were busy and there were customers waiting to be sitted, however, the pasticceria was not busy at all!! If the employee paid more attention he would have noticed that the pizza was to go .. we were about to leave anyway! In addition, through the commotion the other employee that took my order not only she didn't take my order correctly but she also didn't put one of the pastries in the bag.. a nice customer came running after us and gave us the pastry. What a nightmare!! The pastries were good this time!! Overall horrible experience!!

One of my favorite places! The best part? I love the variety of food and that it’s all separate. If I want dessert, I can go into the bakery shop and order there but if I want something to eat, I can go to the other side and order from an array of foods. They also have a shop where you can buy great quality ingredients. I also like that there’s seating area on the bottom floor followed by a large seating area upstairs. The worst part? I might be wrong, but I think they only have bathrooms upstairs. I wish they had them closer and parking isn’t the best. We try to get street parking but we do have to pay for that but it’s honestly worth it for us. It is on the more expensive side by the way so it’s definitely a spot we go to when we want to treat ourselves.

Really cool historical Italian based grocery store and cafeteria style kitchen with a nicer restaurant upstairs. I got the monthly pasta special and was super pleased. The attached little grocery store has great imported and local options for any meals, dessert, or anything else you could want to make. Gifts for the foodie in your life, or just a treat for yourself, don't miss out on going to Cosettas!
