If you can plan your trip here well in advance, you can try to access special features they offer. Be sure to visit the website to see the full list of options on certain days and times. I took my father here and participated in the Model T driving school. The experience was fantastic and well worth it. We're going to have to go back again because we didn't actually see all of the exhibits due to the couple hours the driving experience took. The museum and the exhibits are impeccably well maintained. The outdoor paths are smooth and well cared for as well. The 1940's diner was beautiful and a nice touch added to the property. The staff was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. It was easy to see that even the volunteers there REALLY enjoy being a part of the Gilmore experience which makes the visit even more pleasant. One small touch I appreciated was that in each building/section there were at least a couple places that my dad could sit down and rest for as long as he needed and most of the time the spot would have a spectacular view of whichever collection you were currently viewing...so it was like he was still actively a part of the visit during those resting times. I highly recommend the Gilmore Car Museum.

We loved the museum! The staff was so nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. The museum's display of cars is both beautiful and extensive. The buildings and barns that hold the cars are beautiful and well maintained. Our 8 yr old enjoyed the interactive activities located throughout the museum. We've visited a few auto museums, and the Gilmore is definitely one of our favorites.

Fantastic museum for car lovers. A little bit out of the way but it's worth the drive. Museum is in multiple buildings so dress appropriately. Touring the buildings takes at least 3 hours - much longer for car lovers. Must see museum!

This is by far one of the finest car museums in the country. They have multiple buildings to highlight and have examples of many different kinds of vehicles. And they are in the process of building a muscle car museum of the finest sort. This a MUST visit if you are a car enthusiasts or just love the history of the developments of the automobile. They also have the finest car shows in West Michigan.

This place is amazing! The collection here is huge, from 100 year old cars to motorcycles and everything in between. Better spend a whole day here to be able to fully check out all the cars. The employees are full of knowledge and are very friendly. The Bluemoon Diner had very tasty food, and the service was amazing. Had a great visit and can not wait until the next visit.

What a nice outing day... Fascinating to see beautifully restored old cars from days gone by...and cars we remember our parents might have had....some quite luxurious in past days..and some quite unique... What style cars used to have..quite beautiful... A wonderful collection of cars to see. Nice facilities, gift shop... Lots of walking between buildings but nicely set up...beautiful restored ..saved barns from the area with different eras of cars in each building.....with a donation $ you can take a ride in a vintage vehicle and drive around the whole properties..with the driver giving info on the history of the gilmore museum or about the cars..really nice..enjoyable day.

Fantastic experience! The museum is spectacular, inside and outside. The main museum is just the beginning. There are activities and themed exhibits right outside the back door, with facades that resemble automotive history... Including a Shell Oil service station themed display. There's a cafe inside to help keep you fueled up and a fully stocked gift shop to help you remember the road you traveled. Highly recommend a pitstop at Gilmore Car Museum.

Best car museum in NA set up like a village. Christmas displays, lights & activities are wonderful for the whole family! So great to see the lights in a vintage car driven by a volunteer docent with loads of fun facts. The Diner is a must along with the huge display of good ornaments and the old gas station. Memories were made at the camp fire and got us all in the Christmas mood!

This is truly a cool place! Especially during Christmas time with all their decorations and Christmas light drive. Gorgeous cars from new to old. Loved the super cars! They have a little food shop in the main building and a dinner outside on the grounds. They have a little bar next to the dinner. Inside before you leave you go through a nice little gift shop. Strongly, strongly recommend going!

This place is a bit of heaven on earth. I have been 4 or 5 times and it is always wonderful. People are friendly, the exhibits are amazing and the cars are happy...you can tell, because they are well cared for. Wednesday night cruise-ins draw hundreds of local cars. Everyone is having so much fun that cell phones are forgotten. People are taken to a place and time were they can learn and reconnect with history and each other.. Go any chance you get!

It was a neat place to visit, especially if you love cars and history. My personal favorite part was the small race track they had for kids. My 18 month old didn't want to leave that spot. We were able to build Lego cars and wood models and race them down the track. My husband had a blast, he's a car fanatic! It was nice and quiet and the staff was helpful and friendly.

This is a fantastic museum. Much larger than I imagined and filled with all sorts of cars. From old Model A’s to corvettes and cadillacs, this museum has everything. There are a few places for Children to interact with model cars (build a car, race some legos, etc.) so I found it to be fairly family friendly. The diner out back is really cool and the food was on par for the experience. We only stopped for a couple of hours but will definitely be back, because you’ll need a whole day, or maybe even two in order to fully experience everything.

Love coming here! Usually once a year I try to make it here! The displays change here and there. Summer time is the best time to check out the Gilmore when they have all the buildings open.

The volunteers and donors make this museum an incredible place. Each person i spoke with took time to share knowledge about these beautiful cars that it would take decades to memorize. Such as why tires at one point were white, and how one car even has mysterious nautical aesthetics. On a whim, with 30 minutes to spare, i stopped in and spent almost 2 hours and can't wait to be back. Definitely check this place out.

They did an amazing job with this museum and the exhibits. I will inform that this took two adults three and a half hours to go through. Unfortunately couldn't try the old diner because they closed an hour before the museum closed. Do read their website before coming, some days they give rides in the cars and other events!

This place is a must for any car enthusiast. From cruise ins every Wednesday to car shows throughout spring to fall, to the buildings full of classics and antiques……and even some movie cars…. it’s a must see. Car shows and cruise ins are free, but entry fee for touring the museums. You would definitely want to plan a whole day to see it all. They even have a diner, and sometimes a bar that’s open.

We had such a good time. The $20 we spent for admission was so worth it. You start at the front desk. Head into the museum from there, and it all starts. My favorite was the section that had the cars from the 20's and 30's. The cars look almost like they were designed with art deco in mind. Bill and Steve were awesome in their knowledge. Bob drove us around in a Model T. Even the food at the diner was awesome, along with the staff. The grounds are so clean and well taken care of. Kudos to all that are a part of this museum. I would recommend to anyone to go.

What a spectacular display! This is one of my new faves for sure... The cars are only the beginning. There are so many different buildings with incredible displays. Definitely the place to go for a day trip with friends, family or even by yourself.

Went to a muscle car show (Outside), but also was able to look inside at the many wonderfull displays of nearly every kind of car from history. It was a great show, thoroughly enjoyable. I probably o ly saw about 60 or 70 % of the museums displays so i will definately have to return some time!

Gilmore Car Museum in Hickory Corners is one of the BEST vintage and collector car museums we have ever visited. This museum contains over 400 vintage and collector cars and is spread out over a large area somewhat like 90 acres so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk. The museum was not crowded and you can get up close and personal to these vehicles. This is truly a hidden gem of Michigan and even if you do not like cars, it is a fun place to visit.

We went for the Christmas adventures! What an amazing job they did to put this all together! We took our 2 grandsons and the oldest loved it as well! He actually sat on Santa's lap too! The cars were even more amazing to see. All the way back to the very 1st car invented! It was very impressive!

The Gilmore car show was absolutely amazing. Let me first start off with my favorite car in the whole wide of this world is the 1969 Mustang, Candy Apple Red/with white leather interior. And when I arrived there, I was on a mission, So I headed out over this territory to find my favorite, well they did not have my color they did have multiple Mustangs. Can I say that I was in seventh heaven. The vintage cars that arrived was outstanding. There was even an old Bell-air, how about a 57 chevy? Not to mention the old ford's that ruled as they drove one by one around the strip 'Nevertheless we shall not forget about the classic Camaro's That Sounded off on the asphalt that night. They had some beautiful vintage Trucks there as well. There's just something about the sound of a rumbling engine that gets me exited. Let's not leave out the Harley Davidson motorcycle's they rule too. The Gillmore Car Museum even had an ole timey restaurant there. The band played old time rock n roll, so it was right down my ally. Lots of good food and great people. I even had a guy help me try to find my mustang, Hilarious, {it was his favorite car too} Oh yes, I forgot to mention How big this place is,90 acres can you believe it, I think I walked all of them too. One more thing the Gilmore car museum is North America's largest Car Museum 'and it started in the early 1960s, when Donald s Gilmore started collecting automobiles.

If you're in the Grand Rapids area and have some time this is a great place to head. The displays are great and the well manicured grounds and nice to wonder around. Alot of time and thought was put into this place and it shows. I'm not really into anything PRE 1955 but it was sure interesting to look at and learn about those early cars. 100% worth stopping in!

As an antique car enthusiast, this place is pretty awesome! They have car shows here pretty regularly, so if you're interested, there's a schedule somewhere on their website. Definitely recommend this place.

This was the perfect surprise stop for my car enthusiast husband. The weather was chilly and there was hardly anyone around, it felt like we had the place to ourselves! The diner was the perfect spot to warm up!

Wonderful collection of luxury automobiles from the past. We visited on a Tuesday, no crowds. The staff is very knowledgeable and can give a detailed history of many of the displays. Much larger than I had imagined. Several large air conditioned buildings, well lighted displays. The whole grounds and museums are spotlessly clean. I was amazed by how large the older vehicles were. We spent about two hours, would have stayed longer, our teen aged Grandsons, kept us moving, they loved it.

Fun time for the whole family! As others have noted, they have a world-class collection of cars. Other details that matter - the cafe serves delicious and HUGE sandwiches and salads (worth the wait and $), and the docents are living encyclopedias of knowledge. Definitely talk to them about anything that interests you. If they don't know something, they're willing to find out for you!

Years of car history and memorabilia can be found here. The facility is very big so plan on at least 2-4 if you want to see All that they have to offer. Stop at the diner for a dog or a cold beverage on a hot day. Not necessarily the best place for young children as most of the collection is not to be touched.

Amazing! You don't have to know a lot about cars to enjoy this museum. They have vehicles from various decades, manufacturers, and countries. All of them have explanations and are kept in wonderful (and in some cases original) condition. The grounds were beautiful, the docents were friendly and knowledgeable, and you can even drive a classic car during specific times. The museum doesn't put out all the cars they have, so you can go multiple times and still see something new.

There is an amazing amount of beautifully displayed cars and occasionally other vehicles. The grounds are well kept and all vehicles are on display in theme-based barns. Ample parking. There's a little historic diner on the grounds for snacks are sandwiches.
