It pains me to hit a mom and pop shop like this, but honestly the food just wasn't very good. $15 for a seafood pancake with maybe one or two pieces of imitation crab meat with too much vegetables and not enough pancake... ouch. $15 for short rib soup with mediocre quality meat... ouch. Chap chae was good, but price did seem marked up. Side dishes (banchan) didn't seem to be as fresh and possibly sitting out. Miso soup had a weird after taste to it (still scratching my head where the miso soup came from, but maybe was apart of one of the items we ordered). Saving grace was the sweet old lady serving us, but boy did this place miss the mark in terms of food. Scrolling through photos I've realized a lot of it is from years ago and look good then, but recently it seems to have fallen off. Anyhow, it's slim pickings out here in the western burbs, so it may be back to SGD or trekking out to the north burbs the next time I get the itch for Korean food. What a bummer. 'Til next time.

I love their tasty food! Highly recommend the kimchi casserole and seafood pancake. The casserole not only warms your stomach but also warms your heart. They really remind me of the great experience when exchanging in college in South Korea. People are so friendly, the place is really clean and comfy, and the food is so authentic and delicious.

The waiter was nice. The female waitress was rude. The food portion was so tiny. Galbi = 2 piece of bones for $34 dollar. Trust me, you will be disappointed!

It was a very special moment to experience Korean traditional food in a Chicago suburb. In particular, the taste of soybean paste stew allowed me to think of my home in Korea. If you find Korean authentic food, this place will be the perfect one. I love this place!

This was a nice kbbq place! We went with 5 people and had 3x bulgogi + 1x pork rib, but we probably could have ordered another 1-2 meats. Our waitress was the only one serving, so please be understanding if it takes a little whole for the food to come 🙏🏽. She was very helpful in helping us select food and drinks to try

Delicious! I had the spicy calamari and my friend had the Bi Bim Bop. The kimchi were amazing as were our dishes! Lovely dining room - bright and clean. I will be back and not sure why I never tried this before!

Very lovely experience and will bring back family next time. Our portions were generous and well seasoned and I appreciated the diverse korean beer and drink selection. Restaurant is a bit older but immaculately clean and the service is so warm, friendly, and prompt.

This place is so good. It is authentic Korean food and it tasted great. The food came out fast and the place was pretty empty. There is a charcoal grill that you can set meat on to cook it yourself. They give you lots of delicious sides! There is Korean soda and beer. Our waitress was not from America but understood my group and helped us when we needed it.

It's not the best Korean food I've had, but more like home made than most places. It was good and flavorful. I would go back again sometime.

The food was decent, but the experience of a Korean BBQ in the center of the table with good company is what made the meal.

Definitely the worst Korean BBQ experience of my life. As a Korean who grew up in LA and lived in Korea for a couple years, I am very familiar with good Korean BBQ. This was not it. Seafood pancake - Usually a family favorite, theirs was bland and not fresh. It should have come hot off a frying pan and been savory deliciousness. It was far from that. It also had bell peppers, which is an nontraditional twist I didn't like. Soy bean paste soup - Came out lukewarm (very unusual as Korean soups are usually boiling hot) and my tofu was a bit cold in the middle. It tasted alright, but nothing special. Ban Chan (Korean side dishes) - Definitely tasted old. The fish cake, pickled cucumber, bean sprouts, and kimchi. All old. Korean BBQ - A couple of issues with the setup. (1) The fan was incredibly loud and right above our heads, so it was very uncomfortable. (2) The coals were not hot enough so with 3 people to one grill, it could not cook the meat fast enough. Bulgogi- The marinade was bland and the meat was a bit tough. Not inedible, but far from the best. Kalbi- The meat was tender, but the marinade was once again bland. Chicken- The meat was tender and the marinade was pretty good. The only thing my wife and I noticed was that there was a slightly sour/bitter aftertaste. We couldn't figure out what it was. Stone pot fried rice- The rice did crisp up nicely on the bottom, but it tasted very bland with little to no sesame seed oil and their red pepper sauce didn't taste very good. This was my first time here, so I don't know if it was a off day because they are rated so highly, but this visit was a 1 star visit.

Friendly service, good food. They have Cass beer which is a plus for us.

Very fun experience and flavorful food We loved how they used wood chips at the table for Korean barbecue instead of electric grills. All of the sides highlighted the meat, and we were very content after our order.

I would have given them 0 stars. I love Korean bbq, but this is the first time I took my daughter to Korean restaurant and I am not familiar with Korean dishes. I asked the waitress if she could recommend something for my daughter, she was not helpful. She recommended a soup that we both did not like. After eating soup and side dishes that we did not enjoy, I did not want to take the chance to order Korean bbq and again be dissatisfied. The waitress repeatedly told me the price of the bbq-I am unsure if she was implying that I could not afford it or that it isn’t worth the price. We left this restaurant still hungry and spent $50. We would have done much better going to MOD Pizza. We will not be coming here ever again!!!

This is a nice restaurant tucked away around dental offices. The service was great. However, the meats were not at par with what you pay. If you request the meats to be cooked in kitchen expect to get boiled meat. It's extremely tough and you'll be chewing for awhile. The meat is served on a hot plate only the meats are lukewarm. If you've had OG korean food, be prepared to be shocked.

Was looking for Korean bbq place while visiting my my mom. I saw some mixed reviews here.. Despite what I read ..the images of the food looked legit so I had to give it try. Went on Sunday afternoon and wasn't busy Galbi 4/5 : high quality galbi ..we had it cooked in the kitchen thinking it would be easier but felt it would be better next time to cook it fresh at the table and you can control level of cooking. In general if they have hot coal cooking at the table opt for that first . Marinade was perfect, just enough to not over power the meat ..some places go overboard with sugar. Naengmyun 5/5: total surprise here. Alot of bbq places don't make this dish well. Broth was perfect, Noodles fresh and even put the ice on the side to customize how much you want. Nice touch! Add vinegar and hot mustard to give it a kick ( bottles provided ) Kimchi stew 4/5 : high marks for hitting the right rich flavor profile. Savory , Kimchi , bits of meat to flavor the soup and tofu. Taste close to how I would make it at home . Seafood pancake 5/5: Crispy , veggie yumminess . Not oily and comes with sauce in the middle of the dish with small serving ladel. Tips: If you want subpar cheap Korean food ..this place is not for you. I ordered about 6 different dishes and bill came out to be $115 for 3 people. Quality was great. Final thoughts: I've been eating Korean food around this area for years and now this place is at the top of my list . Great place for families , date night or get together w friends. Love the traditional interior and cozy booths. Support your local mom n pop restaurants and don't go cheap on yourselves!

We had a great time. Good service and Korean bbq over a charcoal grill was a nice touch. There are two adjustments I’d recommend to the owner. One is that if you’re going to use chicken leg meat, cut off the tendon. That sucked. Also get flanken cut short ribs, I’m sure it’s cheaper to just buy the regular short ribs and cut the meat off but people pay for quality. We got the dumplings which were out of this world and stone pot rice! Both pretty tasty. I’d check them out!
