    Was very dissatisfied with the food. I had ordered Veg Biryani and some other items for my daughters Bridal shower and the entire tray of Veg Biryani was spoilt . It smelled horrible we had to throw it in the garbage. They feel that if they return your money they have solved everything , that is not a solution. They ruined the experience, they don’t realize how embarrassing it is when your kitchen smelled with this rotten tray of food. So I won’t be giving them my business.

    Their seasoning on the bhajiya & pakoda is what makes it so tasty. Not a huge fan of their green chutney as it's tasteless so I'd avoid that.

    *Sigh* When you order food from a place - you would expect that the quantity would be on par with the price. When you are charged $34 for two dishes and some flat bread - to stay in business one should have a decent portion instead of two small tubs. It maybe worth to go in and have the all you can eat buffet or for people hosting your venues here as you are paying $20,000 as we did but the take out restaurant is an absolute joke. Look else where if you want Indian food. There is more authentic stuff at curry leaves even if it is south and not North Indian. **To Shikara's response - I just took a look and it does not clearly state it is 16oz anywhere on the menu. Further more - I am not sure what is your "standard" and the "majority" of Indian restaurants. Considering the gold standard of places like in India itself or UK - you make a poor showing.

    This is the quantity for $10 food I ordered and also didn't provide Chapli Kebab which was included in their online menu. Staffs were so unprofessional and rude. Nobody was taking the responsibility of whatever described in their online menu. The Kima samucha they served was stinky and seems like was made from yesterday's leftover. I would recommend people to check regarding their quantity and price before ordering food. This is not the way food business should be. People are always look forward for a good meal with good quality and quantity based on the price they spend!

    Can't say enough good things about this restaurant and banquet hall! Second time visitor with our 28-year-old who lived in New Delhi for 3 months. They were impressed. Had sit down meal the first time and lunch buffet this time around. Both times the food was outstanding both in flavor and presentation. The atmosphere is very comfortable and inviting and quite pretty. People who work here are very friendly. Thanks so much and we will return for sure!

    This is my best experience in Indian resturant food where every plate we ordered as its authentic taste and flavor, butter chicken, chicken masala, chicken tikka and must get the royal grilled platter As well as the lamp Biryani and plate of beef samosa and final the white rice and garlic Nan and end it with chi and desert was served complementary which I call it honey balls for my wife’s birthday and it was a nice touch from our server to do so I forgot the awesome sauces they serve on the table 👌 Thanks to every who made our experience great and I don’t regret the 45 min drive to check out this resturant Definitely coming back and definitely recommend it 🙂

    Nice Indian restaurant. Food is above average but not the best. Some recipes can be really good and some can be a meh. Eg the amritsari chole is good but they serve it with fried naan instead of traditional bhatura. Punjabi samosas are a hit and miss.

    Shikara Restaurant is a fantastic Indian restaurant that I highly recommend. I recently ordered takeout from them and was blown away by their delicious butter chicken dish, which I would give a solid 5 out of 5 rating. The chicken was incredibly tender and the sauce was perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice and creaminess. While the butter chicken was the standout dish, I also tried a few other items on the menu, which I would give a 5 out of 5 rating. The flavors were still great, but didn't quite reach the same level of perfection as the butter chicken. That being said, I still enjoyed everything I tried and appreciated the variety of options on the menu. One thing that really stood out to me about Shikara Restaurant was their pricing. For the quality of the food, I expected to pay a lot more, but was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable their prices were. This makes it a great option for those who want to enjoy delicious Indian food without breaking the bank. Overall, I highly recommend Shikara Restaurant for anyone who loves Indian food or is looking to try it for the first time. Their butter chicken alone is worth the visit, and their other dishes are also great. With affordable prices and convenient takeout options, this restaurant is definitely worth checking out. I give it a solid 5 out of 5 rating.

    My family arrived there for lunch. The guy greeted up with such a nasty attitude. “What do you want” a table for 3. We are closed. Can you explain? Website says you are opened until 11pm. We are close and will reopen at 5pm and walked away. I will not think of showing up there again. Treat people with respect and dignity;

    The dishes we ordered were presented well and they tasted good. The pakoras were slightly bland but the rest of the meal was enjoyable. We enjoyed the mango lassi’s too. The bathroom smelled nice, and clean but one toilet lost half of its seat. It has lots of parking space and overall, a good Indian restaurant.

    I only gave atmosphere a 3 as I ordered food and didn't go there. Everything was fantastic and a great deal. The Naan was huge and soft. So tasty! This is the first time eating here and I will be back! Told all of my friends and family as well!

    One of the only Indian places in the western burbs that still has a buffet during the week. I truly hope they are getting a lot of business for this! It's a drive for me, but I go when I get the chance. They are always friendly and I have zero complaints. Thank you Shikara!

    it is so good. place is clean and the staff was so nice, especially our server. butter chicken was amazing and the goat platter was so good. naan was so fluffy too and the rice was perfect. only reason i deduct one star is because the proportions are pretty small for what they give you which is a shame for how good the food was but when sharing with three people we finished it completely being full after too. will definitely come back again

    We really enjoy the buffet and plan our visits around the buffet hours. Atmosphere is friendly with many diverse customers and sometimes larger family or lively groups and related conversations. Table settings are clean and crisp. We've noticed that the restaurant is typically quite full, the wait staff is very attentive, and the food selection is simply phenomenal. Although I try to manage my food intake, I rarely leave without being stuffed because I think the food is just top notch.
