Papa’s Pizza Place is a must visit for any Chicago pizza fan. They are consistently awesome. I’m guessing they designed the dine in area in the 1970s. It feels like you are stepping back in time. It is so cool and well kept. My family always orders a pepperoni pizza well done with the pepperoni on top. I’ve be known to drink a schooner or two of beer here. The schooner is always perfectly chilled. They have some of the nicest people serving here. Keep up the great work to everyone at Papa’s! You guys are awesome and I tell all my local friends looking to check out a great pizza place! -Jonathan Wooden Paddle I added different pictures from over the years we have been coming!

My family has eaten here for 40 years. Always delicious and the quality has never changed. Excellent menu with scrumptious deep fried mushrooms. If you’re looking for an excellent place for casual dining or a just a darn good thin crust pizza - don’t miss this place!!

This place is a diamond in the rough. I've lived in this area for the past 32 years. I learned about this a couple years ago, it has always been on my radar, it blows everything in the area around. They have the best cracker crust in the whole world I love the dine in experience. All the food here is the best. They've been around for a long time, in the same place all this time, that should be acknowledged, for their greatness

Honestly best thin crust pizza in the burbs. I would even go as far as saying it competes with some of the best thin crust chicago style pizza such as Vito and Nick's. Definitely worth a try you will not regret it.

The only place I will be getting fried chicken from now on. This is an honest review. Just try it and you will thank me later.

Went to a kids party. Family decided to drive to Woodridge to get the best pizza from our childhood. Been loving papa’s pizza since we where little. We embrace it and invite new people to enjoy in our memories. Always the best. Never change.

When our favorite go-to pizza place in the area - Lucano's (RIP) - closed, we were forced to find its replacement. We tried a lot of really disappointing and overpriced pizza in the area before finding Papa's. I wish we tried this place first because Papa's is perfect. Having grown up on countless pizza parties and post little league baseball game dinners at Rocky's pizza in Westchester (the GOAT - if you know, you know) there's something special about those last few places in the Chicago suburbs. The institutions that serve real Chicago pizza (not deep dish). Tavern-style, cracker thin, crispy crust, square cut, that pairs perfectly with an ice cold, draft beer or soda. While the pizza isn't quite as good as our dearly departed first choice (Lucano's had slightly better sausage and pepperoni and was just a little bit thinner and crispier, even with tons of veggies) Papa's makes up for with it with its time-machine-to-the-past dining room, warm, friendly, and attentive service, and ice-cold beers on tap.

The best pizza, ever! We love that it is never, never greasy. We get the thin crust, and it is perfect everytime! Jessica is such a sweetheart, we ask for her, because she is pleasant, kind and such a joy when she serves us. We love the place!

Hands down, this place serves the best beef and cheese with sweet peppers. Did I mention that you can order it without bread and it's still the best? That's right, a keto-friendly Italian beef with cheese. Don't forget the peppers. Update 4/25/21 They added a gluten free, keto friendly pizza crust. Now you can have the delicious pizza you enjoyed and eat the crust too. Very tasty!

Staff was very friendly and my pizza was ready when it was supposed to be. The thin crust is really good. I had a sausage and pepperoni thin crust with extra sauce, well done. Some of the edges were burnt instead of well done but the pizza was still delicious. I'd highly recommend Papas if you're in the area.

We've driven the 20 minutes from Naperville to Woodridge dozens of times over the years because this is hands down the BEST thin crust pizza in the Western burbs. Plus it's a great atmosphere that caters to families with kids. We see the same staff every time we go and they are all fantastic. There's a reason this place has been around for almost 50 years! Don't miss it!

I’ve loved papa’s pizza for as long as I can remember. We moved to Alabama and I’ve not had their pizza or tamale boat in so long, other than when family visits and brings some down. We recently had the pleasure of actually eating there fresh and all I can say is nothing has changed in 20 years. I love the restaurant still looks the same and the food is as good as I remember.

Great old school pizza restaurant - fantastic thin crust tavern-style pie. Flavorful fresh ingredients from sausage to sauce = friggin yummy. Our server Michelle was equally excellent - attentive, friendly & funny. Great overall experience.

I've been dying to try Papa's after reading all the positive reviews on NextDoor. Boy, am I glad I did. It's delicious. We had our regular sausage and mushroom pizza. The crust is thin and crisp, sauce authentic, not paste like some pizzerias use, and good mozzarella cheese. I will definitely order from them again!

I love Papa's. I've eaten there ever since I was a child and I'll continue to as long as I live. Truly great pizza, the gluten free crust will surprise you with how good it is. If you haven't tried their fries and garlic house dressing then you are doing yourself a disservice. But the good news is that you can correct it. Go to Papa's, get a pizza, get fries, get garlic house dressing, experience happiness.

Wasn't sure what to expect when a friend suggested meeting in the middle at this out of the way pizzeria. Not much to look at from the outside. But inside the place is cozy and welcoming. The service was spot on, the beer was cold and the pizza tasted great!

We ordered Hot Wings, Garlic Bread, and an Italian Beef, Hot Giardinera, and Onion Pizza. Food was just ok across the board. Not upset we came to try but very "eh" unfortunately.

This place is never a disappointment. I grew up in a bordering neighborhood and haven’t lived there for 33 years. Whenever we visit, we frequent Papa’s Pizza. The consistency of their unmatched tavern style pizza never fails to amaze me. This place brings me back to my childhood every time!! Thank you Papa’s Pizza!!

If you have someone who is looking for gluten-free - this place has a great gluten-free crust available. Their Mama's Pizza is delicious (Papa's not bad either) and their service is even better. Always friendly! A really nice place to go if you want a conversation or are having a good time with a boisterous party, it's the perfect balance. Try their french fries with the garlic salad dressing I'm just saying...

Awesome food, def worth a try as it was mt first but surely not my last. Did not eat on location and it appear there's a dining area in back just carried mine out but great pizza, cool owners/staff. No issues or complaints

Papas is TOP NOTCH. Easily my favorite pizza (that thin crust) in all of the Chicagoland area. Family owned and operated. Support a local biz instead of chain pizza garbage. You won’t be disappointed. Thanks papas for consistently delicious pizza!

It's been 15 years since I've had any papa's pizza. The taste was welcome home for sure.

I have been going to Papa’s Pizza with my family for over 30 plus years. Thank you for the years of memories. I must commend Josie since I feel she has been our waitress most of those visits. Always great service and by far the best pizza. I have since moved to Alabama and the pizza just doesn’t compare! On my recent visit to Illinois I had to have my Papa’s Pizza fix and as always it didn’t disappoint. Unfortunately, after dinner our car wouldn’t start. We had just made an 11 hour drive too. We couldn’t get a hold of our insurance company or someone to come help us. Our server, Michelle was leaving and saw me standing by the car and asked if I needed help. She jumped our car! Talk about going above and beyond. My husband offered to tip her again for helping us and she refused. I just want to say you have extraordinary employees. Papa’s will always be the best pizza place in my book and employees some pretty great people too!!!

Top 3 Italian beef sandwich in will county by far. I have had it 5x. It is always perfection( prep, temp, roll, beef). I was in the restaurant Biz for 10 years. When you call to order they know what to ask and they know what is going on ( youd be surprised this day and age). I work in the area and this is now by go to spot when I am purchasing lunch. I wanna try the thin crust and other items but its tough for how good the Italian Beef is. Thanks PAPAS keep it up. DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!👍

What? Fried chicken at an Italian Restaurant? YES – and the BEST we’ve had anywhere in the burbs. Not to mention the great thin crust pizza and outstanding pasta entrees. Their home made marinara sauce is excellent. We are very frequent diners and don’t know how we missed this place all these years – just discovered it a couple months ago. The servers are so friendly and seem to actually like being there and like serving you (unusual these days). They treat you like “regulars” on your first visit. The two servers with whom we are most familiar are Marion and Jessica. Both, we leaned, have worked there for years, which says a lot about the management. The restaurant is cozy, comfortable and clean. They have both tables and booths. Can’t say enough good things. Highly recommend!

We stopped by here on a whim as we had an appt across the street around dinner time. Seated immediately, with a super friendly waitress who made some great suggestions. we really enjoyed our meal, and the neighborhood atmosphere. There is seating on the lower area if you have wheels, and a raised area also. If we are in the area again we'll stop by.

The food is fantastic. Thin crust pizza is amazing and we loved the garlic bread. We also had the best service with Jessica. She was friendly and had great suggestions. Can't wait to go back!

There is nothing better than Papa's Pizza. I wish they hadn't closed their Bolingbrook location. However they always have Woodridge. I got their chicken dinner. We also got the Pepperoni pizza. Eating in is the best experience. The atmosphere is just right. Not loud like a sports bar or any of the newer restaurants. The waitresses are so attentive. Right there when you need them. The food is done so perfectly. Almost as if you are the only ones there. The chicken is fantastic. I go there just for that. Though I love the pizza so much.
