I just moved to the area and was so excited that a nail salon with decent reviews was so close to my new apartment! I made an appointment for Friday right after work. I received a call that afternoon asking if I could come in 15 minutes later than my appointment (no problem! And I really appreciated the communication). However, after I arrived for my appointment at the 15 minutes later as they requested, I still waited 30 minutes before anyone saw or greeted me. I had to ask where to sit because no one acknowledged me when I walked in. Then the no chip manicure took way longer than it should have. When I went to pay it was $44! Way higher than the price quoted to me when I made the appointment. I was told it was because of the no-chip soak off and I was told that this charge occurs every single visit. I have been getting my nails done for years and have never had that situation. Then after my very expensive no-chip manicure, it chipped after only 4 days. So very disappointed and I will not be coming back or recommending this place to anyone.

I've been here 3 times and unfortunately will not go back. The first time I went was for waxing and it was a great experience because the owner, Anna, was the person who worked with me and she's very nice. Sadly, my subsequent experiences haven't been good. I scheduled a deep tissue massage with Jane on my birthday, and I've never in my life been treated with such disrespect. I have been getting deep tissue massages for 12 years on a regular basis due to back issues and for the first time ever, I had to walk out in the middle of the massage because she refused to give me a deep tissue massage. To begin with, she thought I'd booked a Swedish massage and so I had to correct her (no big deal.) She then started applying pressure and I thought things were going to be great but she was completely avoiding my low back and when I asked her to please work in that area she flat out said no. Keep in mind that English is not her first language and so communicating was challenging. Her reasoning? I have "disc issues". What I told her was that I'd had back surgery 12 years ago for a herniated disc - yes, 12 years ago. I also tried explaining that the issue I was dealing with that day was entirely muscular in nature, as is always the case, but she vehemently kept telling me that I have disc issues, she was raising her voice, and then gave me an ultimatum saying that she could either continue the massage without the deep tissue or.... not. I honestly couldn't believe it, and the tone with which she spoke to me was extremely unprofessional and rude. I wasn't going to feel comfortable either way at that point so I said I didn't want her to continue and she then said, "fine, have a nice day" and stormed out of the room. Three weeks later and I still think about this experience in utter disbelief. The only other experience I had was a deep tissue massage and waxing with Olesya, who was very nice, but should not be giving deep tissue massages - hers was more like an aggressive Swedish massage with no attempts to work out knots, or go deep at all. The waxing experience with her felt awkward because there was no cover up of areas she wasn't working on, leaving me feeling completely exposed (I might as well have been naked from the waste down) and I wasn't comfortable with where she touched me at times. Problem is, I couldn't communicate with her because when I tried, she didn't understand (English is not her first language either.) For the money, there are better places to go for sure.

I have had incredibly skilled and diverse massage therapy by SARA, a new therapist at Eden Agora. She has strict focus on her client's body, with tremendous strength and sensitivity. She has an excellent ability to seek out her client's body weaknesses, and works hard to heal them, but without any over-extension, or pain. I plan to make very regular re-visits, because I have considered massage therapy as a vital ongoing process. I expect her to be highly sought by clients on the North Shore. Cost of sessions up to two hours, or less, is very reasonable, and atmosphere is very comforting. I am originally from Evanston, and street and municipal lot parking is very easy, with ample fun restaurants within one block. Steve J., Glenview, IL

Wonderful wax and pedicure experience. Anna did a great job making the Brazilian wax as comfortable as it can be. Highly recommend. Jola took care of my pedicure, she was very precise and professional! Great local place.

My sister and I did a spa day (head to toe package - massage, facial, and mani/pedi) and we cannot stop talking about how amazing we feel! Everyone was so lovely and so thorough and intentional. Had such a relaxing massage and facial and then got to chat a bit with everyone during the mani/pedi. Definitely will be back!!
