First time being here. My son's haircut was $23 dollars. WORTH IT. The stylist that cut my child's hair was Ms. Donna. 20 years in experience. Was open and accepting to my son and his disability. She was straight forward, guiding me what to do to help with the haircut process. My son is autistic. Haircuts are hard. Ms. Donna worked her magic and the experience was so much better than his first time at a hair salon. I was able to sit with my son. That was so helpful. Ms. Donna praised my son for how well he did. She educated me with tips to help him. Professional and kind. So thankful for Pigtails and crewcuts! Staff was welcoming and professional. Clean salon. Masks are optional here.

Alberina A is the best, she is excellent with her work, I've recently moved to bloomington but still I prefer to drive 150 miles for my daughter haircut, The most fun and exciting place for kids haircut. I highly recommend everyone to book her for all your next appointments

Staff were miserable not welcoming. Use to come for my son 2015-2020 and had great experience. Went with my daughter, I had to ask the stylist to use a brush to blow dry her hair and gave a lame excuse that her hair would become volumed which made no sense because a brush would straighten and volume depends how the brush is used, also wanted suggestions on bangs for her and was told “nope and better not to do” seemed as though she wanted us to leave soon so they can go home as my appointment was the last appointment. Other staff all looked miserable. Won't be coming back.

We went for our first haircut for a child with very curly hair, and we could not have been happier. Everyone there was extremely friendly and Carmen did an absolutely fantastic job on our son's hair in what was a very smooth and enjoyable process. We cannot recommend their Glenview location enough!

We had a great first haircut experience today with Stella. I attempted to cut my 22 month old’s hair myself and wasn’t happy with the result. She listened to what style/ cut I wanted and did a great job!

Brought my daughter here for her 2nd haircut ever and Carmen did an amazing job. She was so patient with her 2yo sassyness. I highly recommend. Before her hair was wild and unruly.

Edit: after reading the managers response, I'm not sure how to react. Apparently she's not the one who cut my son's hair, even though she was scheduled to, and no one told us. If she had to go home sick, that's fine, but why didn't we get a phone call to reschedule? Or why didn't they at least tell us when we arrived at the salon? We made an appointment specifically to see her, because of her reputation with working well with kids who struggle with hair cuts. So if she was no longer available that day, why didn't anyone clue me in?? We made the appointment the same day, so the same receptionist was likely still working. We live in the city and drove 45 minutes each way to get to/from this salon. I'm just really disappointed all around and feel totally disrespected. Original review: I came here because I was told they do well with autistic kiddos. My son is almost 5 and not diagnosed with autism, but has a lot of characteristics. Especially with sensory things like folks touching him or the vibration of clippers. Haircuts have always been horrible for him (squirming, screaming, crying, the works). I called and told the receptionist that my son gets anxious and overwhelmed easily so she said I should see their manager, which we did. The cut is fine (a bit shorter than I'd asked for, but it's cute) but otherwise this was no different than any other experience for us. My son cried and screamed, and she seemed in too much of a rush to really try and help or reassure him (there were 2 other clients waiting for her). She wrapped her arm around my sons head to physically hold him in place multiple times towards the end. This is not at all what I expected. I had such high hopes but unfortunately we won't be going back.
