I had this place on my list for awhile. I finally got a change to try it out yesterday and was thoroughly impressed. We had the Godfather. The square-shaped crust was thick and crispy on the outside, yet light and fluffy on the inside. The buttery flavor of the crust was simply mouthwatering. They are not stingy with the toppings. I wasn’t impressed with the warm chocolate chip blondie. I wish it was softer. Service was good. I would definitely go back.

Detroit style pizza, we ordered the classic veggie, it was on the expensive side and if you like greasy and oily crust then this is the pizza for you, It was a takeout order. Vegetarian and gluten free options available too. Parking will be a little problem on weekends.

We had a great time at Union Squared. The Detroit style pizza is excellent as was the spinach artichoke dip. Very nice craft beer selection. The hidden patio in back is very welcoming and comfortable. The staff is friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be going back to Union Squared soon!

This is the best pizza I've ever had— and clearly I eat a lot of pizza. Not the best Detroit-style pizza; the best pizza overall. I'm going to die penniless with how much I frequent Union Squared since having discovered it. It's habit forming with how insanely delicious every pizza is at Union Squared.

We ordered three of their to pizzas. All amazing!!! The Detroit Michoacan was one the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. A “must”— if you like pineapple on your pie.

Friendly service and the pizza was delicious. So funny to me that we found a Detroit style pizza joint on my kids' first trip to Chicago, but they don't like deep dish so we ended up here. Had tables for us at 8 pm on a Saturday and our food came out pretty quick. Single serving was enough for my teens to split, but they were still a bit hungry. Entire Greek pizza was too much by one slice for my wife and I too finish. There were plenty of microbrews to choose from too. Definitely check them out if you're in Evanston.

We were party of 3 and were lucky to get a seat. Recommend reservations. Our server was very helpful suggesting how much food to order as everything sounded great. The Caesar salad was perfectly balanced and the spinach/artichoke dip was not so cheesy, which we like. Also a nice char from being baked in cast iron. The pizza was a great choice with a little sweetness and spice. It was great weather for eating outside which made the experience even better. Looking forward to trying more pizzas!

Great pizza! Little melted cheese on the crust. Blondie was too hard. Would've liked it softer and with whipped cream. One pizza for three dudes was good.

Had the calamari, pepperoni and sausage, and the lamb sausage eggplant pizza. Really good. Bread pudding for dessert. Definitely stop by. Great thin crust pizza

This pizza is so so so good. I have one bit of heads up: IF you order online, and specifically order the SPECIAL pizza of the week online, call first to double check. I ordered the special once (sausage w mushrooms pesto etc etc) and "the wrong" pizza delivered (a pepperoni with Pineapple). When I called they said pepperoni was the special even though both their website (linked to Toast tab ordering) and uber eats described the special as Sausage. They were gracious about it and refunded me.

The best Detroit style pizza in town by a mile - and by town I mean all of Chicagoland... no competition until you drive the 5 hours east back to Detroit. The beer garden out back is awesome as well. Highly recommend to anyone who likes pizza, beer, or both... which is hopefully everyone.

We LOVE Union and eat here all the time. This week my brother, who has celiac, was visiting. They were so accommodating, and he said it's the best pizza he's had since he was diagnosed and that he'll be dreaming about coming back again. Thank you for helping a pizza lover be able to enjoy pizza again!

Pizza was really good, but I wouldn't say it's quite Detroit style, as only the edges were a bit crispy. Traditional Detroit style is usually crispy on the sides and bottom, pretty much the entire exterior, while the center is nice and fluffy. But, for Chicago, this was one of my top 3 favorites.

Nice non-deep dish pizza that comes out quick and is tasty. The back patio is very nice. Wish they served cocktails.... But will definitely be back!

I recently moved to chicago and have been trying to see what all the hype is about with chicago pizza. So I’ve had a bunch of it. And the best pizza I’ve had in chicago has been… Detroit style from Union Squared. We got “The Clincher”- pepperoni with jalapeños with I think a drizzle of honey. A nice Spicy kick with a hint of sweet. Absolutely loved it.

this is honestly possibly the best pizza ever in Evanston. and I am very picky about pizza. it's nice and oily soft, a decent amount of tomato sauce and the options were all appealing. One pizza can satisfy three people easily. sadly the service was pretty horrendous and I usually don't care about service... But if you want to do take away this is the spot

I was visiting family and we decided to check this place out. Their Detroit style pizzas are really delicious and they have enough variety to suit most people's taste. The Michoican pizza with chorizo and jalapeno cheese is beyond ridiculous!

Was really excited to try this place. Finally we were able to order some delivery. $38 for a single all veg pie, but I was still excited about it and looking forward to giving it a try. Hopefully it would be worth it. All this only for the food to arrive ice cold. What a sad experience. Luckily GrubHub was able to give a full refund. Probably won't try again considering they put all that work into their food only to send it to me cold.

This is some of the most expensive pizza I’ve ever purchased. I guess that’s to be expected for the area? It’s true Detroit style pizza, just like I was hoping for. Nice crips edges and corners, edge to edge cheese, sauce on top.
