    My favorite place near Chicago for trail running!(north location) Several parking lots. Access bike trail too. Beautiful in the fall. Off trails muddy if it rained.

    Wonderful wooded area with bike paths, walking trails, and a universe of imagination for kids to frolic in.

    We love this open area as part of the Cook county forest preserves Network. Here at harms woods there are plenty of picnic benches and plenty of places to park someone can get out and enjoy nature. The bike trail that passes through here is part of the blue star which begins at Milwaukee and Devon and goes all the way up to the Chicago botanic Gardens.

    It's amazing palace to satisfy your hunger about aviation and aviation history, from before Wright brothers to various war time planes, prototypes, space shuttle and tours inside in some of the them including Air Force One. Entrance is free but donations can be made including for the detailed map. Enjoy!!

    Pretty trees. Only complaint is there are a lot of cyclists. Most do not call out. Walking the path northbound the bike trail separates from the walking path.

    Lovely quiet trail. It is nice and clean, it is popular but not crowded. Multiple options for trails to follow. We and our dogs love it! Has so many different smaller trails that connect to each other!;

    Beavers, deer, fish--trees beautiful in the snow or when they're turning or when they're green. Foot trails and bike paths. Picnic tables and wood/stone shelters. Fields for running, catch and frisbee.

    Harms Woods is one forest preserve in a chain of forest preserves. You can bike or walk to the Botanical Gardens from here. It can get crowded on sunny days. The non concrete paths are usually less frequented. You can catch sight of deer and other wildlife.
