Chadds Ford Day 2022 - special day with many family friendly activities. Multiple tents were setup for historical item presentations and many others for arts and handcraft items. Couple of Good food trucks and live music created a fun family oriented environment.

The pumpkin carving festival was fantastic. Very well laid out, good food, good music, cute little haunted trail for the kids. Good craft vendors. A nice hang out for a while on a beautiful autumn evening.

Regularly attend the pumpkin carve and it is always fun but patience is required. Parking in the meadow is crowded at this popular event, but they keep the flow moving. Lots of food truck options as well as local crafters.

The $15 per person is a little steep for the lack of activities. I'm so glad we came before 5pm. The car lines are over a mile long. As we were leaving. There's some pretty cool pumpkins. Too bad some of them collapsed already. The weather is so beautiful today. I'm impressed with how organized the parking lot is and there are people guiding the cars.

Came here for the Pumpkin Carve event. Unfortunately, the parking lot had to be be larger than the actual event ground and traffic into the event was incredibly slow. The grounds had a nice atmosphere though, and the historical society seems to be very good at organizing events! I am planning on checking out the barn during normal operation sometime.

*Note: Review was originally submitted through my other Google account October 2019 and was transferred here* Went for The Great Pumpkin Carve. It was fun, albeit a little pricey. It can get crowded but from the feedback I've heard the flow of traffic is much better this year. We enjoyed the pumpkins and it was a lovely evening. Wear shoes that are appropriate for trekking through the mud.

I thought 15 per person was expensive just to go watch. Pumpkins were not that big at all. They were all about 80 lb only 1 Pumpkin there was about 400 lb. Lots of the pumpkins were falling apart already. There were not enough food vendors. The line to get food was over 2 hrs wait time.

The Carve is always a great event, this year had a great turnout. The best part are the pumpkins, always creative and impressive efforts. Well done, visit the historical society during the rest of the year!

The pumpkin carve was always a really great time when I lived in Chadds Ford years ago. I can't believe how huge this event has become. Hats off to everyone who is involved with setting the carve. My family had the best time. Looking forward to next year

Great place that is kid friendly. The reenactment was really cool. The First Delaware Regiment of reenactors were great with the kids, and so were the historical society staff. Great job all!
