It's the best Italian restaurant from UK!!! I tried to book before the lockdown but it was full. I called again two days ago and it was also full, but the owner was very understanding. The waitress and the owner were very nice and helpful. The owner spent time with us to explain his menu card and to gave us advice. The pizza dough was so yummy. I selected the mamma concetta pizza with sausage and it was very delicious. Fresh food !! I will definitely come back again!! Everything was perfect!! If you would like to try delicious and Italian pizza please try this restaurant!!

Very likely the best pizza in Bedford. Just right amount of crust and great combination of ingredients. Also the service was top notch. Fully booked the moment it opens so it is good to reserve your table in advance if you want to seat inside. Will for sure visit again.

We were supposed to go to another of the many Italian pizzeria in Bedford (apparently there is a huge Italian community here, due to a brick factory over 500 years ago that was employing a lot of Italian immigrants in the area). Anyway, the pizza was ALMOST perfect (for an Italian fussy pizza eater like me) the dough was delicious and burnt in the right places (if you have one of these all-even-doughs, with no bubbles and no little charred burnt parts here and there.. the pizza is not properly hand made with a dough recipe that ghost the Italian original one (there are many, but the general idea is that the pizza should follow certain standards). Got a pizza with pepperoni (many recipes were "British style" hence the ALMOST, although thank God there were no pineapple in the pizza menu!!!) and nduja (a spicy spreadable salami from Sicily), the pizza was very good and I will come back here if I was in the area. The pizza place itself is cosy and small, with an original 1070 Italian Vespa hanged on the ceiling!! A must for all Pizza lovers, and all Italians in the Bedford area!! Oh I almost forgot! They have original San Pellegrino fizzy drinks, you have to try the blood orange juice, if you never did (in the photos) Try it and subscribe to my review for more Italian, good food suggestions!!

A nice place to have pizzas and pasta. The ambience is warm and cosy. You can see the pizzas being made in the oven. The pizzas are neopolitan style. Fresh and delicious! They also do takeaways. The staff is friendly. It's a fairly popular place so better get a reservation, particularly on Fridays and week-nights :)

Great interia, not a huge amount of staff attention. Very rushed.. Could of done with a few extra bits but was hard to catch someone. Overall was delicious. My son said it was his fave pizza ever.. Will be back thanks.

Absolutely faultless. I done a click and collect and was going to be late so they kept my pizzas warm on the oven. The staff are very welcoming, but above all the pizza is as good as there is. It is your classic Italian pizza. Beautiful base and crust not too thick. Diavola was *chefs kiss*.

Really good food at a reasonable price, pizza was delicious. I had a nuttella pizza to finish, which was huge. Definitely a desert to share if you've already had a big pizza.

An Italian gem in the heart of Bedford. How pizza is meant to be. Courteous service, and willing to accommodate extra diners arriving. A really nice place at great value.

Not been here since before COVID started. Forgot how good the coffee is. Had recently been to a newer more sparkly place but Mamma's beats it hands done. Not just for the atmosphere but the ciabatta was better and a few pounds cheaper. Feels like you are in a long established eatery in Rome and like the personnel touch rather than the corporate multi branch everything the same rush. Every time I see one of there pizzas served up I say I must try. Will have to do an evening visit or go with some to share because they look fabulous.

One of the top pizza places in Bedford. An easy choice every time. My friend and I normally get the Diavola pizza which has juicy pepperoni, tasty cheese, a fluffy crust and the right amount of spice to make it exciting. Friendly staff who know us. Never a long wait for food.

Best pizza I have had in a long time. Had the mama concetta with Italian sausage added, delicious. Came straight from the pizza oven, hot and fresh. Excellent service, very friendly and professional. Fantastic experience all round.

Was so keen to get home and write this review in support of all the other 5 star reviews. I simply cannot be more complimentary. One of the best restaurant experiences I have ever received. Authenticity, politeness, quality of food, service of food, portion size all in abundance. We are returning customers but usually have take away pizza's, to have one fresh out of the oven is a completely different experience and one I encourage all to try. Will be supporting this business long into the future. Thank you for the service we received.

Visited with a group bookkng for weekday lunch. Really nice atmosphere. The service was super quick. Ordered La Divola pizza (spicy pizza) but wasn't too hot or spicy. Service was good and food for our large (10 people table) came out super quickly. All made fresh behind the counter, with a pizza oven in the corner of the restaurant. Will definitely go back again to try some more dishes and dessert.

Really lovely place lovely atmosphere great food. Would certainly recommend to anyone comming to Bedford. Authentic Italian food, Authentic Italian atmosphere. My only down side, and this is only small! The music was a bit too loud, a thumping base that if up one notch more on some tracks might have been painful. But it didn't really detract from the great food and service :)

ABSOLUTE EXCELLENCE. A "MUST VISIT" when in Bedford!!! We have been a few times and it is excellent. Great service over the phone when booking and in the restaurant, and then the PIZZA! Totally delicious, full flavoured and fresh. To the owners, keep doing what you are doing, don't sell out, and we shall keep coming back with our friends and family, again and again.

Fantastic pizza, great atmosphere, friendly staff and interesting decoration. The La Diavola was really good, I highly recommend it! Next time I will ask for it without the pepperoni, just the N’duja is enough.

Most hospital service I have encountered. The staff couldn't have done any more to make our visit better. The food also was of a very high standard. Happy customer who will most definitely return again and again.

I had the joy of hosting my birthday here and can’t recommend it enough. The courtyard is an intimate and wonderful space for any occasion. Our staff member Gabrielle was fantastic and handled our large party with ease and grace. The food is exceptional and to say it’s top notch quality is no hyperbole just stating the obvious. From the antipasti to the pizza. We loved every bite. If you haven’t been before, fix that soon.

I am a regular customer here, I recently had my birthday celebrations in the court yard at the back of the restaurant and It was great. The service is excellent, they were regularly coming to our table making sure everyone was catered for and they couldn’t have been more helpful. We had music and the vibe was high, the food is outstanding and never disappoints. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Tasty wood fired pizza. Only been here for a takeaway. Fresh generous toppings, creative menu, fabulous taste. The base is tasty and filling, but not always strong enough to support eating from a takeaway box. Suggest eating in, or taking home. Also, one of my pizzas was only cut into quarters... If you are eating it on the move, ask for 8 ways ! My favourite pizza in Bedfordshire...

As the name suggests it is an Italian restaurant and inside you will find proper Italian food and good wine. They also have an outdoor setting so you can enjoy wherever is more comfy for you. Inside, wherever you look there is something what will bring you the atmosphere of small Italian restaurant: pictures, posters or real pizza oven. By the way the pizza us delicious. Exactly how it should be: thin, with some crust and topped up with mozzarella and tomatoes. The rest depends on you.

I visited on Saturday and ordered a pizza. OMG. It was amazing. Freshly cooked and amazingly flavoursome. The ambience was fantastic with soul music playing in the background. Just loud enough to hear but didn't interfere with your conversation. The service was superb. Staff were attentive and observant. If you are in Bedford town centre, do your taste buds a favour and pop in. You won't be disappointed

Bedford is full of good Italian eateries. And I tried the food here for the first time, after reading lots of good reviews. The place is nice, very Italian. The food is a proper Italian & quite delicious. Service is excellent & friendly. Have to try their pizza & cappuccino next time.

Really good. Best authentic Italian pizzas in the area. There is a van in MK shopping centre selling very good authentic Italian pizzas too, however Mamma Concettas is ever better! I hope the standard stays as high as it is and they open more restaurants if they haven't already! 5/5
