A wonderful experience in an idealic and historically fascinating setting. Booking online was extremely easy. We arrived an hour early so had a very decent cup of coffee in the cafe and resisted the temptation to add a large slice of #vegan chocolate cake. Then a relaxing professionally mixed G&T in the bar. THEN the tour which started with ANOTHER G&T in a Bombay Sapphire Glass with plenty of ice and Fever Tree tonic. THEN a short film in a comfortable setting with a nice little table to put your Drink on. THEN a tour and explanation of the distilling process and the history of the building. THEN a stop in the gift shop to overspend before driving home thoroughly satisfied.

A lovely guided tour of the distillery. A very informative guide and the tour took in all the parts. Was family owned but now owned by Diego however they have kept the small nature despite all Bombay Sapphire being made here. The creative green house has examples of the plants used in the gin. The gin was very nice and the film about the distillery was good and had a choice of three gins to choose from. Would recommend a tour. The cafe was a nice surprise as the platter we had was so great value.

This is our second time here. The first time, we just did the tour. This time, however, we did the cocktail making master class. This was a really fun experience, and very boozy, you make three cocktails each, and they are strong! but oh, so good. They young girl doing the class was great, informative, and happy. All the staff we spoke to were happy and helpful and always with a smile on their faces. Especially all the young ones who I'm sure would much rather be drinking with friends the watch us getting drunk and talking rubbish, lol. All in all, a great day out and highly recommend.

Something different and an interesting way to kill a few hours. Well organised and staff are all friendly. The bar have some great cocktails- even the non alcoholic cocktail option tasted lovely.

We had a gift of a tour and a cocktail making masterclass last Xmas, and we just got around to booking and visiting. The tour was pretty much what you would expect if you have ever visited a distillery or brewery before, but with the addition of the quite long history of the site (from before Doomsday) and also the beautiful greenhouses and plants). The masterclass is fun, and you end up with 3 fantastic cocktails to enjoy; or at least what's left of them! Time really flies by. One word of caution, don't plan on driving yourself afterwards.

A wonderful experience and a must for any gin lover. At first we had a very informative tour about the history of the gin and the site itself. After learning about the process and the ingredients, we had a go at making some cocktails ourselves. As the designated driver I only had a few sips of my drinks, which were wonderful. Even though the weather wasn't that great the staff made it such a delightful time. Highly recommend and will be coming back again in the future 🍸🍹

Excellent tour by one of Bombay Sapphire's staff, really informative and the site has a vast amount of history which is amazing to hear about. Lasts about 2 hours including complimentary cocktail. The bar is situated over two floors whereby you can drink your cocktail and enjoy watching the cocktail makers in action. Recommended.

The tour is about 1h 20m. It starts with you choosing a Gin to drink while watching a promotion film. Then a history of the buildings. A look in the botanical gardens. And then a look around the 2 smaller stills. A very interested and informative tour.

Best gin tour of our trip, and we did four. It was very informative and the location has a lot of historical significance, in addition to being beautiful. The distilling process is slightly unique from other distilleries and it's really interesting to see. The greenhouses though, are incredible, and a great addition to the tour. Our tour guide was wonderful and the gin and tonic at the beginning was a great way to kick everything off.

The grounds are lovely and the highlight of the tour is the architecture of the greenhouse, however the tour itself is disappointing and quite boring. This could be a perfectly satisfactory self-guided tour, or perhaps 45 minutes with a guide. No need to be 1 hour 20 with lots of repetition of the same facts. It felt a little like it was padded with information about the parent company. Some fun historical facts about the building and site which were actually very interesting— the saving grace might be the cocktails at the very end. The Laverstock is delicious and refreshing!

Very informative tour of a place filled to the brim with history! Tours last around an hour and a half and visitors get an insight into the story of the buildings, the ingredients that go into the gin and the process behind its manufacture. At the end of the tour, a complimentary drink is available which you are advised to choose based on your sensory taste. Overall a very interesting experience.

Great gin experience! The site is massively impressive and really well run. We booked the fancy Sunset cocktail making and tour experience. It's not cheap but you get to make 3 cocktails, have lunch, tour the site in a smaller group and enjoy a few extra cocktails on top. Plus you walk away with a bottle of the sunset gin. Everyone was very friendly, the food and drink are great. The bar and cafe are also worth a visit as is the shop. The only thing I would suggest is adding a bit of music in the cocktail making room, there's only ever going to be 10 people there and it would add to the ambience. Well worth visiting and taking in a tour

Excellent tour guide. Beautiful location and buildings. Slightly dry material, felt they could have emphasized the Evolution of the bottle and branding. Felt it was missing personal stories and history of the site before Bombay took it over Lovely cocktails at the end (included in tour). Overall good experience and reasonable price.

The setting is lovely and the site is beautiful. The glass houses were the highlight of the experience for me. Unfortunately I didn't find it that engaging compared to other distillery/brewery tours I have done. The tour guide was lovely and seemingly very enthusiastic about the experience but as a whole it didn't really grab in the way I was hoping. The bar at the end was nice with a complimentary drink and the gin shop had a lovely touch of getting bottle engraved. Overall it was fine.

Really interesting place to visit. Loads of history and the guide was very knowledgeable. All the staff were really delightful, welcoming and great to chat to. We went for the Discovery Visit, but I definitely want to go back for a cocktail master class. You can visit the cafe and shop anytime. It doesn't have to be part of a tour. Nice shop with good offers, despite what I've read from other reviews.

If you're in the area or making a special 'pilgrimage', then booking a tour of The Bombay Sapphire Distillery will not disappoint! The historical buildings, the glass fountain, and the River Test running through add a lovely atmosphere. Bombay Saphire has been my favourite gin for many a year, so it was such a treat to learn all about it. Definitely adds a whole new dimension to the drinking experience. Obviously, I left with some treasures from their shop after the tour.

Can't recommend this place enough. We did a tour of the distillery which was brilliant. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and kept us interested for the whole tour. The tour starts off the best way possible with a Gin and tonic. The tour lasts for 90 minutes and went by in the flash of a hat. Plenty of history to the site. Along with the tour there is also a bar, shop and cafe. Will be back again.

I would say this tour was OK.. would have been nice to maybe make some gin etc, rather than just walking around and listening to people talking. Very pretty though but not sure it was worth the tour.

Went on a tour which offered a complimentary drink. The cinema screen at the beginning had a nice surprise at the end. The grounds are lovely and can go for a drink there without purchasing a tour. The l shop was reasonably priced and had good gifts for birthdays etc

Brilliant experience! Learnt a lot about the gin and the cocktail making experience was great. The site is absolutely gorgeous and would definitely return.

I highly recommend a tour of the distillery. The price includes a gin and tonic: choice of Bombay Sapphire, Bombay Bramble, or Bombay Sunset. An informative film tells the story of the distillery, which only opened here around 2013. Although manufactured here, the gin is then sent in unmarked tankers to Glasgow, where it is bottled. All Bombay Sapphire gin sold anywhere in the world is made here. The guided tour includes a visit to the two glass houses: Mediterranean and Tropical, which contain plants used in making the gin. You cannot go into the rooms where the distilling takes place but you can see through windows. There is a café and a shop at the end of the tour. NB if you are driving and don't want to drink, they give you a token which you exchange in the shop for a miniabottle of gin and a can of tonic.

We received a voucher for a tour as a present. Had a lovely afternoon learning all about gin distillery from a very lovely, informative tour guide. The actual location is fabulous - lots of history and nice architecture. Did feel at times that you are on a conveyor belt as so many tours going on. Would definitely try a different tour though next time!

I cannot recommend visiting here more highly, even if you're not that keen on gin!! We had an informative and engaging tour from David, the most excellent tour guide! We started with making our own G&Ts and then learned all about the distillery process. We then had a brilliant cocktail masterclass from Tyler which was great fun. David and Tyler were absolutely fantastic, teaching us a lot about Bombay Sapphire and giving us a great experience. I wasn't that keen on gin but after being shown how to make the perfect G&T I have changed my mind!!

Lovely experience, took a friend as a birthday gift and they loved it! The cocktail class was so fun, highly recommend. Tour was informative and interesting. The food there was also delicious. Will be back!

Fantastic experience. Having a G&T at the beginning was great. It set the mood. A very informative tour where you taste the 10 aromatics that go into Bombay sapphire. The surroundings were beautiful. Highly recommend

Phoebe was our excellent tour guide, eloquent and very knowledgeable. We heard the history of Bombay Sapphire and how the gin is made, not the secret recipe though. The tour ended with a choice from five gin cocktails. If you are the driver, you can have a non-alcoholic drink and get a gin and tonic to take away. For those still slightly nervous of covid, mask wearing and social distancing were in place - early Oct 2021. Well worth a visit!

Great experience, lovely atmosphere, wonderful kind, generous Interesting people who work there who made us feel very welcomed. The master cocktail making class was so worth it. The buildings themselves were beautiful!

This was a great little tour, I was probably there more for the architecture than the gin though. Loved the Old industrial buildings and Thomas Heatherwick's design. Our tour guide Louise was fab and lots of fun. There was a bit less to see than other distillery tours we've been on but it was a lovely setting and a lovely cocktail at the end.
