Was busier than expected; there was a 45 minute wait, but as soon as we were seated, we got our food in about 15 minutes *maybe 20. It was the quickest service I've had in a long time! Wait staff was very attentive and personable food was very good as well as the drinks. I will definitely be going back. I feel it's worth the wait of 45 minutes.

We arrived at 1:30 p.m. and were shown to our table within 5 min (no reservations). Our server, Mike, was very helpful, cheerful, and attentive. We enjoyed our meals of soup salad and breadsticks very much. It was very satisfying, we were pleased with our experience. And would surely return again.

Always a good time at this Olive Garden, staff is always nice and free dessert on your birthday :) I highly recommend their create your own pasta dish with creamy mushroom sauce and crispy chicken on top, the salmon was a little dry but they were very busy today

Location was in the Mall of ME area. Slow service due to lack of waitstaff personnel. Good food but… soup was in a small shallow bowl and the fettuccine pasta was barely warm & clumpy with not enough Alfredo sauce. Lasagna was good though chicken parmigiana was better. Pasta prices starts ~$20 so somewhat pricey. The takeaway $6 pasta entree of the fettuccine Alfredo was small, not worth it as you could make it yourself at home. You can buy a side of (3) meatballs with sauce and have it with pasta at home.

This has always been a favorite of my mother and sisters so it has been a place I’ve irregularly frequented with them for many years. We don’t always go to this location due to their location, but it’s always my favorite location. When I first started my company I would meet my aunt there and ride down to Boston with her. (Photo c2000)Lots of great memories here over the years. And of course the bread sticks and salad. I mean that’s what it’s all about right?!? I try to avoid the red sauces now so this time I tried the mushroom raviolis in a cream sauce. It was so good, and the lunch portion was more more manageable for me to finish. Even at 35 I’ll still get shamed if I don’t have a happy plate when I decide I’m finished. Thanks SoPo OG for all the good memories over the years!

My family always enjoys our Olive Garden experiences but our latest experience at the Olive Garden at 200 Gorham Road in South Portland Maine was the most pleasurable to date due to a truly great host named “Nick”. I don’t know his official position at the restaurant except his true job is in more of a management capacity, but when we arrived in a group of ten for a birthday dinner and were told we could be seated but would have to wait a while to be served, he jumped right in to make us comfortable, get us drinks and then took our orders and made sure we were served and happy. He not only did these things but did them with charm and flair. He had the whole room upbeat and laughing. I hope you know and appreciate what a remarkable employee and person you have at your wonderful restaurant.

Excellent service and the food is good as always. I requested the steak medium rare but come out the steak is a little bit well done. They change it for me immediately. What a great service. Especially the waittess Robin doing a good job. The front person is very nice too. Keep it up will see you soon 🙂

Had lunch with friends we haven't seen in a year. Seated quickly, table was roomy, waitress was attentive brought our drinks within 5 -10 min than took our order. Food was prompt and delicious. The cost was reasonable.

I made a reservation well over a week before my party was due to arrive. A server came to greet us and explain that she would start a drink order because the "assigned" waitress was not there yet. It is now well after the original time and haven't seen our waitress yet. I made a reservation in advance for 20 people, realizing it takes preparation and consideration to accommodate that. The drinks we ordered from the first girl didn't come before we were trying to order our meals! Service was very poor! I'm embarrassed for you! As much as I like your food...... Service is more important!!!!

The waitress kept forgetting my order I was with a couple celebrating their Anniversary. I was treated like I wasn't there my meal was sitting under a heat lamp looks like way to long and I just told her to forget about my side order of meatballs 🙃 I won't be returning there I'm sorry. I truly love the olive garden but apparently you don't care much for me your customer. BTW she got a hefty tip anyway bcz that's how my friends are . They treat people kind even if they weren't. Ty 😔

This is the spot. I love the chicken Alfredo yum. Free salad and bread sticks. They make great drinks 🍸 and have several wines 🍷. The wait staff was courteous, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They have lunch specials 😋

I ordered from the catering menu for a birthday party. The food was delivered on time Serenity from the S Portland Me Store was such a wonderful employee. She helped in so many ways. The food was delish and hot and I would use you again for my next party.

Went for lunch and got the lunch size portion of chicken parm. It came with the salad and breadsticks which are always amazing! The chicken parm was very good, the sauce and pasta ratio was perfect. We also got the calamari appetizer and yet again it didn't disappoint! It was even better than our local favorite restaurant. We sat at the bar and the bartender was great, very friendly and efficient. We had a great experience and will definitely come back.

Very disappointing. Waitress was very arrogant and did not inform of a separate charge on choose from below for 13.99. Teeny print in third column under item the extra charge. It said choose one item from each column. What s rip off. Was given a big bowl of pasta and marinated sauce. Asked her to box it. Brought it to me in a big brown bag. When I got home it was in a small container with not even half which had been in the bowl and a tablespoon of sauce. The bowl had a cup of sauce. Again a rip off. We will never go again. Meatballs very spicy. Bread stick’s different from before and friend threw away most of her eggplant.

My family and I went to the South Portland location for Veteran’s Day lunch. Our service started off a little rocky until our waiter, Dom, came to our table. He made up for the less than par service we were having previously. Perfect example of amazing customer service. THANK YOU Dom. Never change. You are appreciated!!

My husband and I both ordered the chicken parmesean. Apparently, they must have been microwaved because they were like eating rubber. The waiter was great. Salad was good. We won't return to this location. We have had the chicken parm dish hundreds of times. Very disappointing.

Long wait but the waitstaff made up for it after with endless hospitality. We were on vacation and there was 13 of us hungry and tired. They even brought out a cake for my daughters birthday truly appreciated. Great family night, thanks.

Unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks were a great price. Only offer house salad. The waitress was quick at our side. Strangely enough she was almost too attentive, but it's hard to complain about that.

So disappointed with the service. Premandemic I found the service to be always excellent. Had to wait 30 minutes for my entree! Also waitress did not clear the salad dishes before bringing my entree and never brought my coffee. At least the food was still good!

The staff is attentive and amazing. Would recommend any day of the week. The management works right with the crew to provide exceptional service. The servers are all great I love going to eat at this location with my family.

Nice place. Better than the augusta one. Food is well prepared and very tasty( minus desert). Service was most friendly, atmosphere uplifting. Wife and I frequent this one. 1 star minus cause the menu is a bit generic (it is a chain restaurant though) and the tiramasu was quite bland and had no alcohol bite to it at all.

Our waitress today was absolutely phenomenal. The food selections awesome. The quality of the main entrees, breadsticks, salads, drinks were delicious. This Olive Garden location was a very nice atmosphere to dine in.

This place recommends you pre-book your tables on busy days.. however the bar was awesome took us right in, and we ordered and got the best service from our bartender, that I have not seen in a long time anywhere. Thank you.

Absolutely fabulous!! Zack at the bar was awesome. We had Seafood Alfredo which was fantastic with Calamari as an appetizer. Everything was prepared to perfection. One of the freshest salads we've had in a restaurant in a long time. My wife had a perfectly mixed lemonade by Zach and I had a Shipyard Winter Lager which was great. It's been a long time since we've been here but I now that we have been reminded how good Olive Garden is we'll be back soon!

Was pretty excited about the extra side of broccoli they accidentally gave us until my fiancé almost ate this creature that came with it.

Outstanding the only down fall was they turned the ac on and it became rather chilly and our elderly guest was cold. However great waitress, food was hot and fantastic, great serving size. Very clean. Overall all 12 of us were very pleased 😀

I don't know, I don't expect much from Olive Garden, but I expect to at least...to get food to eat? I showed up for dinner with a party of 8. We were handed our menus, before being completely left alone for about 20 minutes before they came back to check if we were ready to order. We placed out orders, and the server kind of gave me a hard time about a request I had (my partner and I wanted to share a dinner plate due to not being too hungry and a long drive home, but we would opt out of the unlimited soup and salad). Eventually the server put the order through without adding a surcharge. I'd never had anyone at an Olive Garden give me problems about this before. As everyone else's food came out, my one dish was still delayed. When they finally brought it out, it was the completely wrong dish. We ordered a scallop and shrimp fettuccine, and they brought out a chicken with broccoli. (???). The server then insisted that it was what we ordered. They eventually offered to remake it, but somehow my food just never came. At the end of everyone's meal, they finally bought my dish out - at which point we opted to take it to go. Our drive home was about 2 hours, so the dish had gone cold. I don't know that I can begin to express my shock to be disappointed by an Olive Garden lol. The bar was never set that high...

I have to say that having the perfect waitress was the reason why I decided to write a review. Though the food was absolutely amazing!! I just really enjoyed how focused, kind, and hard working working she was. She overall had great energy to give and set such a great example of how to be a good worker.

A couple things I just want to mention! My wife and I went for a date night last week and it was absolutely phenomenal! It’s been a little while since we’ve gone to Olive Garden. The whole experience was amazing and our server I would definitely ask for him again! Now, fast forward to today I was craving some lasagna, so I’m like I’ll use the rest of the gift card. I called in to make the order and Nick was awesome! The whole order process took less than two minutes. I swear he is great. The woman that came out to the car to bring my food was super friendly as well. I get a little ways up the road and of course I want to eat a breadstick on the way home, and I realized dang these things are hard. I worked in restaurants I totally get it sometimes it happens! I called back, and I get the manager Jake, who honest to God if I had a restaurant, I would hire him to run it because he is so nice and understanding, and really went above and beyond! Thank you all for your wonderful service!

A shout out to Mike Po who was our server this morning when they opened. He handled it like the professional I suspect he is. 11 of us at one table and everything went so smooth with this guy, you would think he was serving a table of four. Nice work Olive Garden! Great place to eat almost authentic Italian cuisine. We came on a Monday night and only had a 25 minute wait for a groupof5 people. Plenty of parking with handicap access. A full service bar and generous menu. The wait staff was very prompt and friendly and all wore masks. The Zuppa Tuscona is to die for which is never ending along with salad and bread sticks for $9.99. Although the lettuce in the salad was a bit soft. With the close seating it can get a bit loud. The wife says the Italian margaritas are the best she's ever had here compared to other places we have been. You can also pay at your table by way of the table tablets which also have games to play for the kids.
