Im someone with an intellectual learning disability if you have a disability just understand. I left working at Clarendon tavern because of disrespect discrimination and rudeness. I also have a permanent leg injury with 14 pins and 1 plate in my right leg and was told i was not entitled to a break.

Best place in the Hawkesbury for a "pub lunch". On weekdays they have a range of meals for $10. I think there are 10 including the ubiquitous chicken schnittie but topping out with a hot rock steak. So much fun and ensures your steak is cooked how you like. $10 for this, including salad and chips, and a side sauce is just a bargain. Service is quick with meals generally ready in under 10 minutes. Often much less. Good range of beers on tap and at a reasonable cost. Views out the front over the RAAF base. Nice pub with friendly staff. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here on Friday. I ordered the grilled chicken breast. The chips were NOT hot, the breast luke warm. Best part was the sauce. Disappointing.

I visited for lunch recently and tried the smoked brisket, which I thought was excellent. My companion tried smoked lamb shoulder and reported this was also good. If you are a fan of American-style smoked barbeque, Clarendon Tavern should be on your list of places to visit,

Great place finally stoped by, nice food and great lunch value around this area, especially the rump steak on the hot rock! Beer is cheap n good for the black beer… beef sausage lunch is great 👍 calamari has flavor but not smelly. A lot events all the week! But the menu isn’t update, the kids meal doesn’t have tokens anymore, only with ice cream.

Went for Wednesday wings and was disapointed. The wings themselves were average but the real downside was the sauces. I ordered 20 wings. 10 with ranch and 10 with hot sauce. I was told that they couldn't be counted as two meals and they were counted as one. This incurred an extra $2.50 for the "extra sauce". I even explained they were for two different people. How much sauce? About a tablespoon and a half. For 1 to infinite wings. 1 wing, 1 sauce. 10 wings 1 sauce. 20 wings.... guess how much sauce, yup one. Don't go there for the wings.

Best pub food hands down, our family favourite! The Lamb cutlets are always cook to perfection! My son loves getting busy outside on the kids equipment and playing games. Also lovely service from staff!

Loved the Claro, back in the day! Great to see if absolutely thriving! If i was living local now it would be on the support list!) Best parmigiana I've had in a long time! Atmosphere is great, staffing very inviting! With the cost of living going up it great to see such reasonable prices!

A decent local that I have spent more than a few nights at but the main attraction for me is their "hot rok" it's a hot stone that you cook your own steak on. It's phenomenal. New owners of the venue have really brought this place to a good standard

Went for a nice lunch. As we have never been before and was told by friends that it’s a lovely place. The food was alright chips were abit cold. The staff at the bar were rude. That atmosphere was not really there

Having frequently visited this establishment over the years, the food is absolutely wonderful and service usually impeccable! However, yesterday our lunch was interrupted by a disgruntled staff member. The member of staff was clearing tables and tidying the verandah area, slamming chairs into their rightful positions and crashing utensils and cups. Honestly, I had never seen such a display and was terribly taken back. She then went further once returning with another member of staff, saying quite loudly in their conversation “I don’t work here, I just live here.” I’m sorry dear, it is your workplace and I would hope to see pride taken in the work done. You are the face of the establishment and that’s an important role. Patrons shouldn’t need to be halting conversation until the commotion is complete…

We visited the Clarendon yesterday with our Probus club (26). We were very impressed with every aspect of the venue. Not a long wait for our food, which was delish, everybody in our group were happy. Staff could not have given better service. I personally voiced my appreciation to the chef and the lady who did our coffee,we WILL BE BACK. Bob

Best lunch I've had in ages, great chips and the Chef makes his own salad dressing and tartar sauce, unbelievable at the price, really inexpensive. Guys behind the Bar are very welcoming and make You feel like You are welcome, truly nice to see these days.

Held a Birthday party In the garden. Fantastic for children's party. Play area and face painting. Book a table early, as everyone is seated at tables. Back bar is open on weekends not sure about during week. For big appetites try Schnitzel parmi. 10/10 Les.

Had a lovely dinner out with the family. The food was cooked well if a bit bland. I had the steak with the upgrade to mash and veg. Mash was good, veg seemed steamed even though it was supposed to be cooked in butter, was bland. The steak was cooked correctly and the mushroom gravy was really good. Husband had the rosemary crumbed lamb cutlets, the lamb was delicious but couldn't taste the rosemary at all, chips and salad were delicious. The kids had the burger and nuggets meals and loved it.

Good friendly service, our food came out quickly and the food itself was fantastic! Big meals (chicken shnitty and chips) and we had 2 entrees - you must try the cheeseburger spring rolls! 😋

So sad to write this review. Have been to Tavern a lot of times for lunch special. Always been happy but today was just awful. Waited over 40 minutes for meals. Went to th3 counter to find out how much longer, was told 2 minutes which it was. However, my simple hamburger bun was so hard, I could not even get my mouth around it! Was hard as a rock. Chips were burnt and disgusting. My husbands chicken was okay but chips inedible. Got my money back and the lady did offer a new meal but didn't have time to sit around and waste more time as the wait was ridiculous already. So disappointed 😞

Lovely little hotel with absolutely fantastic food service. Lunch specials are $12 with very generous servings. Be warned it gets very busy with their lunch time specials being so popular. Highly recommend the snitty or the hot rock as my go to options. Around $20 for lunch with a beer! Fantastic value. Lovely and friendly staff always helpful and polite.

Used to be my favourite pub to go to, went there today for the first time since it's been taken over by new management with a new menu. Food was average, seasoned chicken but don't expect much from the chips, they were unsalted and cold. The Cheesy Garlic Bread was nice. Was disappointed with the staff. Old management had you order food at bar, new management have you order food at the bistro but no signs anywhere to tell you so the old existing customer base automatically go to the bar as I did today. Upon walking up and stating to please order food, the young girl rudely told me to go to the bistro and I was surprised and repeated it to make sure and she snarkily said yes then walked off, had the same level of service ordering a drink.

No roast of the day was told to order it at 4.30 when I did was told it was sold out and I tried to order it right on 4.30 and then went to order a creaming soda and was told it was sold out too having not much cheaper options with a event close by really bad idea not having enough cheaper options

Great clean premises. Great lunchtime menu offered for $12 from 12- 2 pm. Certainly go back to try other meals on all menu's.

affordable lunch and nice seating area. Updating my review because the schnitzel used to be so good but pretty sure they’ve changed supplier..(?) the portion and quality is definitely shrinking. Would rather pay a little bit extra for the same quality than getting what they currently have

I had the snitty. It was amazing. Very delicious. Would definitely go again.

Consistent. That’s what I want out of a pub. I want to be able to order the same dish and expect it to be enjoyable and the same as the last time I ordered it. Clarendon Tavern delivers. The staff are friendly and booking a table can still be done over the phone. Lots of different seating options. You never wait long for your meal, even on busy nights. There are lots of beer options - all the classic staples and some interesting craft-esque ale options. It’s our favorite family pub in the Hawkesbury

I visited Monday after work and was pleasantly surprised. The $10 burger special was tasty, and portioned well. The staff were gorgeous; one complimented me on a nose piercing whilst pouring me a beer: 10/10 would do again.

Hi Guys, Just a note of thanks for last night. We were able to do a "semi-private" -midweek full family Birthday celebration with easy thanks to the Staff at the Clarendon. We were a large group ranging from 6 months old to 58 (the birthday boy). Booking the reservation was quick and easy, my request to pay all together for 25 orders was met, even though I'm sure it wasn't a simple task as everyone ordered individually. We didn't feel rushed or in the way. Our space was reserved and just perfect for all the kids. I appreciate your help assistance, it made for a relaxing get together and as always the food was perfect! many thanks and cheers, Darren and Donna

Good selection of tap beers. Well priced for good food. The bar staff were absolutely awesome. Lots of bikies come here so if you're lucky you can watch some beautiful motorcycles come and go for a bit of a show.

I enjoy this place every time I visit. Live bands are incredible, pool tables are a must, the kids area - omgoodness its my favourite. I always play I the kids section without fail when I'm here. Such a great vibe here and such happy and wonderful personalities. Everyone including customers are delightful to be around.

Very nice place, very friendly staff, nice restaurant, Hot Rock Steak was excellent. I would highly recomend for a good meal and a relaxing drink! It is family friendly and appears to be expanding with a resturant upstairs.

Meals were ok, albeit a little overpriced for "pub food". Nice clean pub, great location, with plenty of parking. As you can see by the photos, "bike friendly". Staff were pleasant and efficient. Wouldn't say no to going back again.

Haven't been for many years. Was pleasant just a pity the kids dining is outside. Was freezing wind and rain and no heating . Hopefully that can be sorted out

What a surprise! We use the term "Pub Grub" at so many of these institutions and that is generally our expectation. We had a recommendation that Clarendon Tavern had great steaks done on a hot rock, so we decided to try it. I dare you to get a better hot rock steak anywhere. The steak was a 10. One of the most tender I have ever had. They do a quick cook each side to put a grill pattern on the top for presentation. The steak was cooked perfectly, (Pun) and the price was great value. My wife had the most tender and tasty rump for $19. I sincerely recommend the Clarendon Tavern.

We called in advance to reserve a table we requested not in the sun! Table was in direct sun and we needed to move the tables! Staff did not help with this! Staff requested COVID vacation check in, which is totally fine! My brothers was a paper copy due to a problem with his my gov account! Staff wouldn’t let him in! When we said we were all leaving Manager behind bar was extremely rude! Terrible experience!!
