Beautiful place to visit, lush tropical growth throughout the site. Interesting history of the Manor's time as a sugar producing plantation. Wear good shoes to walk rough paths through the rainforest.

This is a great historical and educational site to visit. It is also the home of a great batique shop and production facility. Lovely gardens, very relaxing. Clean restrooms. Reasonable prices. Plan to spend at least thirty minutes. Enjoy.

What a wonderfully beautiful setting. An old sugar plantation, with some of the infrastructure still in place. The gardens are wonderful and it would be impossible to be stressed while walking hear. The bell tower was especially interesting as it is the only remaining one on St. Kitts. All the others were destroyed by the emancipated slaves. This owner immediately released his slaves when the emancipation began whilst the other plantation owners kept their slaves for a further 4 years under the pretense of "training". This bell tower was left in respect for the owner for his integrigrity.

The ground is cute, but I am unsure if it is worth $3 to enter. There is a narrow back road that connects the Estate to the Manor that is meant for two-way traffic. We arrived before 3 pm, and no one was manning the entrance. We ended up spending most of our time at the batik shop and got some souviers.

Home of Carib batik. A tourist spot, entire area is not big, and not easy to access without car. Garden is nice, look for the 400 year old tree. Visitor needs to pay 3 USD for entrance. Gift shop is big, selling all kinds of batik merchandises. Might be a little boring if you are not interested in buying anything.

This is a wonderful place to explore the Caribbean batik production, historic house, gardens, and drink some rum cocktails by the edge of a canopy!

Gorgeous historical site which was part of our tour. You’ll learn how they make those beautiful textiles well known as part of St Kitts. You can roam around the gardens on your own and take in all the colors and sounds. Bring water with you!! It can get warm

This is a must-stop place in Saint Kitts, full of beautiful views and rich history. Home to the iconic Caribelle Batik, it’s perfect for buying memorable gifts and enjoying a drink at the bar, where you can try St. Kitts' own Old Road Rum 😍.

A beautiful botanical gardens, well kept grounds and demonstration of how the colorful prints on clothing is done. This stop should take at least 45 minutes to an hour, especially if you are mobility challenged as you will negotiate a few steps and uneven grounds. Free restrooms that are clean are a nice feature.

Romney Manor was our favorite tourist stop (besides the beaches) during our weeklong stay on St Kitts. The grounds are very pretty and we loved learning about the process of making batik fabric. Admission was very reasonable and there is a gift shop and small snack area selling drinks. The road to Romney Manor is very steep - be prepared!

Beautiful gardens, walking paths and buildings. Plenty of parking. Watch the locals make their Batik fabrics in beautiful colors and patterns. Or just enjoy some rum that has been distilled on the grounds for hundreds of years. and take in the natural rain forest around you. Many photo opportunities and wildlife viewing. Not crowded when we were there on a weekday. A very relaxing spot to take in what St Kitts has to offer.

It is extremely hard to get to. There’s not much there except for a Batik store. The Manor is located away and is in accessible.

Made the unfortunate decision to visit and patronize this local business, Caribelle Batik at Romney Manor. Unless the business owner/employees are stuck in colonial times, not all people of color are bad, thieves or out to steal anything. We were chased, corralled, watched, followed, you name it, to ensure at least 4-5 employees were around us at any given time. I had to ask several times if its ok to browse/shop, because the scrutiny was uncomfortable and ridiculous. After our purchase, yes despite all this we still decided to spend our money there. I was not allowed to exit the door to use the rest room. I did tell the cashier and another clerk with her, how shameful they were treating us, even after we spent money there, the harassment still continued. I would simply say, people of color are not welcome at this business, what's even more shameful is that people of color was behaving this way. It may be helpful to the staff to put a sign up front, since the color of my money is the same as others, but the color of my skin warranted this behavior and treatment of the people at this business. Never again and I would rather burn the products we brought than ever utilize it after this racially profiling experience. Believe it or not, tourist's of color have choices and we also have buying power, colonial times are over, get with the program!!!!! Shame on the owners and employees of this business!!!

We thought we could just go there but govt has tourist trade locked down. Get $25 each tour of the island. It is interesting and informative. At the end you can either spend 1.5 hrs at a beautiful, albeit crowded, beach depending on how many ships are in, or you can come back to ship. Batik demonstration is 10 minutes of verbalization. Don't expect items to be cheaper there- they are not... Nice grounds to wander around. Great Rum punch at stand by drying material. I appreciated the human effort that went into making the Batik! So for me it was worth it.
