Recently stayed to celebrate my partners birthday and we enjoyed our stay. The front of house were lovely, helpful and friendly, they made us feel very welcome and attended to all of our needs. The room was lovely and we were surprised by the complimentary snack bar including a vast range of drinks and snacks, this was a nice addition to the room. spa facilities were nice, we were lucky enough to enjoy the facilities during the heat wave therefore felt as though we were in another country. The only thing I’d say is we weren’t told that sun loungers could be reserved by spa members meaning that loungers are very limited so we had to wait for some to become available. We both enjoyed a massage by lovely spa therapists. However we were most disappointment by the service within the restaurant. During the evening meal included in our stay we were brought out our mains before our starters had arrived, querying this the waiter took our orders back to find out what had happened. A second waiter brought our mains out again and we explained the problem again. A starter arrived and ten minutes later we still only had one, we asked our waiter if the second started was on its way to find out only one of our starters had been put through the system. We decided to continue with our mains with only having one starter and the rest of the meal was satisfactory . During our lunch on the second day we were advised to sit at one of your tables by a staff member, upon sitting down I noticed a reserved card on the table. I questioned this and was assured that the table was free. Our food arrived and whilst eating we were greeted by another waiter who ushered us to another table mid meal because the current table was booked. The party was quite large so I had no problems moving as there wasn’t another table suitable for them however I felt this was slightly unprofessional. Having said that our experience during breakfast went smoothly and I couldn’t fault our waiter that morning. Overall I was generally satisfied with our stay, however restaurant experiences let down our stay and majority of your restaurant staff were fairly young (during the school holidays so temp staff) and didn’t seem to know what they were doing. Not the kind of service you expect for a £500+ stay I have contacted the hotel privately with my feedback however over a week later I am still awaiting a reply which is slightly disappointing.

Wow! What a fantastic place for a girlie spa break. Magical feels upon arrival driving through the lit up trees. Wonderfully warm greeting upon arrival with ample car charging ports. Our room was spacious and well maintained. The pic n mix at every turn was a lovely touch. The spa was very peaceful and well maintained. Breakfast was sumptuous. Service marked down purely because a staff member walked into our room without knocking or waiting for an answer and we were both in our towels post showering. Definitely the only bad part of our stay.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay at Homewood. We’re expecting a baby in the next few weeks, so this was the last opportunity to spend some time together somewhere relaxing. The experience was great from start to finish. Our room was spacious, thoughtfully designed and they left homemade truffles, brownies and even a pregnancy pillow for me so I was completely comfortable. The food in the restaurant was beautiful. Fresh, locally sourced, well seasoned. We had dinner twice and breakfast everyday. I get impression the chefs are really passionate about what they do, which is really nice. The local village Freshford is one of the most beautiful villages I’ve been to, so there are lovely walks on your doorstep. And finally, I had the most incredible pregnancy massage from Marta who just put me at ease and made the whole thing so wonderful and relaxing. I wish I lived closer as I’d definitely be getting massaged again before the baby comes! Would definitely go again!

Absolutely loved it here. The staff were delightful from the moment we walked in. And we got a surprise upgrade on our room. I asked the in advanced for more pillows due to being a pregnant, and they found me a pregnancy pillow. The rooms have everything you need. The facilities are great - loved the outdoor pool. Really relaxing, and a great place to unwind. Can't wait to go back and try the local walks.

We had a Luxury Spa Day with afternoon tea as part of my friends hen do on Sunday 12th June. Although the facilities were lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed our treatments we were left disappointed with the service. We ordered 4 drinks at the pool and they took about 30 minutes to arrive. During our afternoon tea we didn’t feel well attended to, we had to ask for our drinks twice and then for takeaway boxes and the bill to pay. Quite disappointing considering how much we paid for the day.

Weve just returned from 1 night staying here. Our room was great with a very comfortable bed. The food was delicious although more emphasis could be placed on showcasing their own produce. The gardens are really impressive and the vegetables we had in all our dishes were fresh and tasty but the use of homegrown produce isn't highlighted on the menu or by staff,we asked because we'd seen it growing! We had lunch, dinner and breakfast as well as drinks, all were great. We preferred eating in the conservatory which had a nice, relaxed atmosphere and lovely views to the pretty gardens. The spa is fantastic,so relaxing with a nice outdoor pool, sauna and jacuzzi, unfortunately the steam room was closed. Not keen on much of the artwork however but overall the decor is good.

We had an excellent time at Homewood. We were also looked after very well by Ian (not sure if same one!) but the whole team were excellent. A real service ethos through them all. The rooms are lovely, the facilities excellent, the grounds very good indeed. The spa is boutique but definitely does its job and the outdoor pool was a treat. We had our own jacuzzi and it was worth it. Our son came to visit as he is at Uni at Bath and even in one night he felt he had been on holiday. Finally the food is of real quality. Breakfasts excellent and the dinner we had was a very high standard indeed. The fish dish I had was the best I have had in a long time. All in all, highly recommended.

What a place. The service was exceptional throughout the stay and Ian and his staff went above and beyond to make it the most amazing break. The spa facilities are stunning and, despite the fact it was apparently full all weekend, we didn’t at any point feel overwhelmed or like we were sharing the space with loads of people. Every detail was well considered and we were catered for the entire weekend. The kitchen garden is worth looking at and the food is absolutely stunning. Cannot wait to be back (with the dog this time) enjoying some of the best hospitality I’ve ever experienced. Thank you.

Had a wonderful stay here. They manage to get the right balance of being a hotel that can cater to different groups at once - whether large families, people with young children, romantic break, it seems to work for all. So hard to do but they make it look effortless. Facilities are superb. Lovely, thoughtful touches such as providing games to play, a snack station (stocked with sweets, crisps, popcorn and drinks you can help yourself to), a nice selection of teas in the room and a delicious complimentary brownie (that was much enjoyed). All the staff were great (breakfast was a little slow but the service was still charming). Special mention to Gabby, who was superb and the best kind of helpful and attentive. We’ll definitely be booking again.

Absolutely great place. Part of the Small Luxury Hotels Groups (that has Hotels and Spas all over the world). We popped in for lunch on our way to Iford Manor. We've been to a couple of SLH before and I'd always recommend them. For food I'd recommend booking, especially Sunday's, to avoid disappointment. Beautiful surroundings, great little play area for the kids to burn of steam and lovely food (and most importantly a Child's Menu!!!) that was fairly priced! No complaints what-so-ever. Will definitely be back!

Well what can I say what a gem of a place. I booked Homewood private dining for my mine and my Son in laws birthdays ...mine being my 70th. There were 8 of us, all close family. We had the Pavilion for the afternoon, which was such a lovely space, and what a great idea. The food was delicious, presented well, all plates cleared. Our waitress was very attentive to our needs. We enjoyed sitting out on the beautiful terrace after lunch, where we sat for a few hours. Staff were all very friendly & approachable. I can't wait to visit again .. and again and again. Thank you Homewood for helping to make this day very special

Stayed for one night recently, and it was amazing! Really friendly staff and incredible tasting food. The rooms are decorated tastefully with lovely personal touches. We dined in the outside dome, which was fully heated. The staff were welcoming and checked in frequently to ensure food/drinks were all well received. The spa area is great. Can thoroughly recommend the full body massage. The therapist was very professional. I would definitely recommend staying here, and both my husband and I wished we'd booked a second night.

We came here as a mini moon spa day. Staff were attentive, polite and friendly. Particularly a sweet member of staff called ‘Zoe’ who gave me the most relaxing facial and massage I’ve ever had. The spa isn’t overly crowded so there’s so many areas to chill out in. Me and my husband particularly enjoyed the QR codes you can scan to order drinks to wherever you are! Both of us are in agreement that we need to come back again! Thank you x

I had an excellent afternoon tea with several friends at Homewood recently. There was a really good choice of food and everything was beautifully cooked and prepared. The weather was fine and sunny that day and we were able to eat outside in the garden. I would thoroughly recommend Homewood for going to have an afternoon tea.

A perfect retreat. Beautiful surroundings, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, a lovely spa and just so well designed overall. Highly recommend for a weekend get away. We would recommend a walk to the Inn at Freshford for lunch and onto the Iford Manor.

We had booked for special birthday tea but table not ready for us. Very hot day and no parasol. Drinking Water wasnt even cold and should have had ice or come from fridge. Tea was lovely. Kitchen garden impressive and fabulous views

Spa day gift for my partner that I was blessed to have benefit. Very lucky with the weather today but what a lovely day. Massage was lovely, pool area very chilled, great service. Great facility. 2 course lunch was fab. Heritage Tomatoes grown on grounds, sea bass beautiful and the eton mess was divine. Minor point burger seemed a bit over done but overall exceptional day.

We had a lovely 3 night stay, the hotel was in a beautiful location with lots of lovely walls. When we arrived with our dog there was a lovely dog box in the room with a dog bed as well as some chocolate brownies for us. There was lots of lovely extra touches including pick and mix jars you can help yourself too and Dyson hair dryer and fan. The food was delicious and the spa was excellent. We would highly recommend Homewood and will definitely visit again.

My partner & I visited Homewood a couple of weeks ago, initially for a 1 night stay, but we were having such a tremendous time that by the end of the evening had we booked to stay a second night! We didn’t regret our decision. Everything about Homewood is top notch. All staff (reception, table service, management and spa) were unrelentingly lovely for our entire trip - so much so we even ended up on first name terms with Ian the manager - a really great host! The building is beautiful with an eclectic mix of decor and very clean. The grounds were wonderful to explore - especially the kitchen garden which grows much of the delicious produce served in the restaurant. The chef should have their own vegan cookbook - I don’t think I have ever enjoyed eating this much! Every single dish was packed with flavour. We enjoyed each wine we tried too. The spa area is relaxing and the sauna is amply hot (not always the case at other spas). While the treatments were pure magic! Our rooms (we had the good fortune to try both a room in the main house, and a suite in the separate building) were both magnificent with indulgent decor and ridiculously comfortable beds. Our stay was a birthday treat for my partner, and as soon as the staff realised we were upgraded at check-in and thoughtful little touches were made (strawberries and wine in the room). I really can’t fault Homewood - they even have electric car charging on-site!

The most beautiful hotel, everything from the start to the end of our stay was amazing. Thank you so much to all the wonderful staff at the hotel who look after us so well - we were lucky enough to be offered a complimentary upgrade as it was a special occasion. I would highly reccomended Homewood!

Went for a spa weekend, a treat for a 30, 50 and 60 year old. Service was superb, they remembered all dietary requirements and always had a smile on their faces, willing to help at all times. A very enjoyable stay for us all

We enjoyed lunch for six people with children in one of the pods. Service was very friendly and very welcoming. The starters (cheese fondue) and mains (sea bass) were very very good. We were not enamored by the desserts (chocolate pudding, apple crumble) however which were disappointing in presentation and taste but we were full up but this time! All accompanied by great champagne and lovely tasting wine in a fantastic location. Our children were very welcome and there is even a lovely play area adjacent to the pods. Highly recommended!

Exceptional property with lovely grounds and out of the ordinary decor and interior. Around every corner there was always a lovely new surprise. Drinks on the patio, delicious dinner under the evening sky, prosecco in the hot tub, breakfast in the morning sunshine are some of the lovely things we got to do. Next time we will have to try out the spa. Staff are lovely too, made us feel right at home giving great service always. Definitely look no further for a lovely place to stay.

Came for a Spa Day. Had heard wonderful things - the location was lovely, they've really decorated and re-vamped the place since I came many years ago. We didn't stay in a room but the restuarant food was incredible, the service was brilliant all day and the staff were wonderful. The spa itself is on the smaller side and the privacy of the spa treatment rooms is why I have left a 4 star instead of 5, but the treatments were nice, pleasant, although the only downside was that they were right by the indoor pool and you could hear everyone outside it which meant it wasn't overly relaxing. Nothing that can be amended, but as I say everything else was great.

We have been for food several times; however, this particular occasion we were extremely disappointed. We arrived early so thought we would get a drink. I had to go up and order and they said they would come to the table. Ordered the drinks and half an hour later I went up to ask if we had been forgotten for them to tell us that one of the drinks they were out of. After 35 minutes our drinks appeared. There are a couple of things I noticed which should be picked up on, there were no sticks in the olives which we were sharing. No steak knife. The music was far too loud. The food was delicious; however my grandmother had a salad and there was a huge crack on the bowl. The carpet had a huge oil stain on. Then we were charged £26 as a service charge which we paid. I know this is optional but it was included within the total cost which I think is ridiculous as this is dependent on the person. Overall for my birthday I was disappointed and regret to write a negative review. I do hope that it improves as it is a lovely spot.

Lovely grounds with a gorgeous terrace to enjoy a drink on a sunny afternoon. Service not really on point, not attentive enough and we had to ask multiple times for a bill. Prices steep (£5 for a bowl of eight olives), £13 for a glass of wine, £12 for a G&T, which could all be justified if the service was exceptional.

Great rooms and lovely dinner! Struggled with staffing levels and IT issues during our stay unfortunately. Service didn't match premium cost this time around. Spa is well equipped, but a little tired. Hopefully better next time!

We absolutely LOVED our experience at Homewood. The location is incredible and the fact that they grow the fruits and vegetables right there on the grounds for the restaurant is awe-inspiring. EVERYONE WAS LOVELY. The staff made us feel so welcome and that Homewood was our home away from home. Evan made it extra special with a barbecue in the pods. This is a definite must visit... we will be back!

Husband and our two young children stayed for two nights. We had a wonderful stay, the room was beautiful and we had direct access to the swimming pool. It wasn’t as warm as we had hoped. The food was exquisite, Beautifully presented and very tasty. The only reason I couldn’t give five stars is because the service was a little bit off. We had to ask for help with our bags, waited longer than would have liked to give drinks and food orders and would be seated for breakfast and not asked immediately what we’d want to drink. Our bbq chef at the pods however was very attentive and a true asset to the hotel!

I was surprised with a two night stay here for my Hen Do. It was an absolutely amazing stay! We had a bbq in one of the domes - there was plenty of food for us all and it was all delicious! We also had breakfast, an evening meal AND an afternoon tea during our stay - all of the food looked and tasted wonderful. Our room was very nice, clean and beautiful with a lovely view and hot tub on our balcony! The grounds of the hotel are always beautiful. It is a short car ride into Bath and we had a lovely wander around the shops. The outdoor swimming pool is one of the best features of the hotel!! It was lovely to have a swim and then lounge beside the pool on such hot days! The spa facitilites were very nice and I felt wonderful after my massage and facial. All of the staff were very helpful and kind. I would have loved to stayed longer and definitely would return again. The complementary drinks and snacks from the ‘mini bars’ were a lovely bonus too!

Our party of 9 reserved one of the rooms in the garden for our Christmas party. We enjoyed an exceptional evening at Homewood Park. From the moment we arrived until we left we were looked after by the charming Evan. Nothing was too much trouble, he must have walked too and from the hotel in the freezing cold for us all at least 10 times ferrying various drinks and food to us and never without a smile. The food was really tasty, freshly prepared, beautifully presented and plenty of it. ! Highly recommend the cocktails too! Visiting Homewood Park always offers a great sense of occasion and the drive from the road through the illuminated grounds certainly adds to this. Well done to Homewood Park, than you for giving us all such a great experience a lovely evening was had by all.

The rooms could be a bit cleaner and copper bathroom fittings in room 25 were tarnished and stiff. Need more dog poo bins in convenient locations for guests. There were absolutely no dog bins or any bins near the mews rooms. The terrace, pots, plants and setting of room 25 was stunning and perfect for our dogs. Just a bit more attention to detail and dog bins. The outdoor pool area was stunning and we had perfect weather so just like being abroad. Loved the pool bar and cocktails. Terrace eating outside with a fantastic menu. We went for breakfast dinner option and found the food delicious and varied. We looked forward to our meal each night. We had an amazing stay and our dogs did not want to leave. Making of something very special. Loved the complimentary treats and drinks. A really nice touch. Perfect after a long walk. Freshford and surrounding countryside was stunning. The few negatives I started with are just areas of improvement but overall my partner had a grwat 60th in a beautiful setting with lovely food. Dogs very happy too!

Excellent all round. This was our second visit and another fantastic experience. I highly recommend the hot tub suites; they're generously sized and very well appointed. The bar has a lovely relaxed atmosphere and a good amount of choice. Service was excellent all round and felt personal and attentive without being overbearing. The only, very minor, items would be: a lack of available plug sockets by the bed; it would be great if there was more privacy as it felt like people using the spa could see right in to the living room area; and the food menu (whilst absolutely delicious) hadn't changed noticeably since our last visit a year ago - possibly it just changes seasonally.

I took my friend here for a birthday lunch treat. The building is lovely and beautifully decorated. I'd indicated I was gluten free when booking and when we arrived that was confirmed. However, the service was slow and when eventually our food arrived it materialised that gluten free just meant no Yorkshire pudding and no pig in blanket. The vegetables were all sweet (red cabbage- very vinegary, parsnips, carrots - which were charred - and Brussels sprouts with parmesan - yuk!), my friend had no roast potatoes. I ordered turkey, there was no stuffing (I waited 10 minutes to find this out by which time my food was cold) just (more sweet) cranberry sauce. I was told a gluten free pig in blanket would take 12 minutes... The food was poorly cooked (my friend agreed) and lacking in flavour other than salt. I nearly died when presented with a bill of £79, for a below par main course and 2 glasses of wine. (£13 for a small glass of white wine!!)(they didn't dare put the prices on the wine menu). The bill included an automatic 12.5% service charge. The service wasn't unpleasant, just really slow. I did complain and wasn't charged for my meal and the service charge was waived. To say I wouldn't recommend this for Sunday lunch is an understatement. It looks nice, but the food and service let it down. If you want a decent Sunday lunch and a decent bottle of wine at 1/4 of the price- best cook it yourself! A really disappointing birthday treat.

2020 happened and with it our dream holiday had to be postponed, we wanted a staycation to celebrate joint 40th birthdays and we stumbled onto this little gem. Due to the occasion we went all out booking the luxury hot tub suite for 3 nights along with a champagne afternoon tea and evening meals. On avail the staff were so gracious and helpful arranging for us to have light snacks and refreshments as we were several hours early. Everything from the food to the venue was outstanding the chefs went above and beyond proving lots of little extras including a special request on the afternoon tea. The setting is something else imagine a dark night life up garden over looking the pool and it turns into the most romantic location for a proposal (not quite Thailand) but I don’t think either of us could have imagined it anywhere else but Homewood. The location the service and the staff were something else, every one went above and beyond and we can’t wait to go back.

We were at a wedding. The staff were great, very accommodating, friendly and attentive. We didn't stay in the rooms but the rest of the guests were happy with their stay. Location is a bit awkward if you are staying in Bath (£30 taxi) but if you're able to stay there it's a great location in terms of views and the surrounding area.

A Touch of Class! Something tells you when you look into the detail and thought of a good Hotel- and it was telling us all the signs of a classy establishment here at Homewood Bath- our first visit, we only live 20miles away! We stayed in a Mews Suite Room- Wow! Couldn’t fault it for the value and the attention the detail is not to be missed- lighting inside and outdoors is 1st class, decor and high quality finishing throughout- not to mention the thought put into the view from the Hot Tub! Even the plants/pots and attention was throughly though out. Main hotel and areas were also nice, Roaring fires and cosy snugs! Restaurant was Epic, attention to detail was amazing, great waiting staff and vibe in restaurant (we asked to sit In conservatory and it was lovely- Meal was 10/10 couldn’t fault it) Only 3 little niggles, Staff not always in Bar so having to wait for drink, dirty windows in hotel bars/restaurants! And the Spa and facilities really did not match the standards of the hotel and rooms, found the spa to be a huge disappointment overall and setting was very tired and in need of a freshen up. However the treatment I had (60min back massage was very good) would be nice to see the facilities to be a little more 5* as the hotel deserves it! We will be back! Next time with the dogs! Good Work, a pleasure to have stayed with you

The choice for a very special celebration for my wife and I was the right one. The staff, the dining table position and the food was excellent. We were so sorry when the time came to leave. Our dinner followed a Dome experience earlier in the year, which was a very special lunch. Friends who stayed for a spa experience, recommended Homewood to us. We thank them each time we meet!
