Excellent food, great workers, great management. I’ve been coming here for the past 20+ years since I was 8 years old. When I came by the restaurant today I was greeted by the same friendly workers and thanked by the owner Andy on my way out. Love the American spirit at this family owned restaurant. Get the jumbo beef hotdog with everything and cheddar fries.

Excellent American fare. Personable guys behind the counter cooking your food. Our kids loved the cheese fries in their teen years. My favorite is their Italian beef sandwich with mozzarella cheese.

Great Chicago dog, the flavor is hard to beat. The Italian beef was pretty solid, though on the small side. Great customer service, very fast. Glad I tried it out.

The food is good, better than Portillo. Love the natural casing on the hotdog. But I think the gyros used to be bigger and better??

Food has gone downhill over the past year. Onion rings and mushrooms are dripping with oil. Hot dogs are barely warm. This has happened the last 3 times I purchased lunch. I have been a customer for almost 30 years at this location, but no longer. Go to the Little Island instead.

We stopped in for a quick bite, we got a bacon cheeseburger and a jumbo hotdog with cheese and regular fires. Both got lemonade that seem as thought it was not made fresh and stale taste. The cheese fires were better without the cheese; it wasn’t regular melting cheese, more so as though its cheese from the cheese burger. The jumbo hotdog was made as a Chicago style hotdog, and was good but wouldn’t make to trip for it again. The last thing we got was a m&m cookie, that was sweet.

This is the original, I remember the one on Dempster and Bronx in Skokie, later became Mage's. Stopped in Friday, one of the original guys was there, chatted a bit. Said we'd be in more often and talked about the other store. Still has good food, poppyseed buns, neom relish, cheddar fries, wow they stack the pickles on! Not like Portillos (yuck). Got with kraut which was fresh. Free refills on drinks. Menu was a little confusing, didnt see combo for regular hot dog combo, just the jumbo. Can't wait to come back!

For a treat that can not be beat, enjoy the special "grilled jumbo dog with cheddar and bacon". Get it the way tge owner, Andy, recommends - mustard, grilled onions and dill pickles. (Oh, yeah, I add saurkraut.) This is what I reward myself with when I have worked too hard! Rejuvenates me every time!
