Nice clean and bright hotel. Close to campus, easy to walk many places. The staff were very friendly and kind. The gym and pool are great! Not upscale luxury, but efficient, spacious, practicable. Enjoyed staying here. Recommend for NU parents

I stayed recently for a weekend. Check in was quick and easy. Front desk staff was always friendly and would greet you if possible. The only reason I’m giving this location 3 stars is for the cleanliness of the bathroom. A lot of Hair in the shower. Under the toilet seat there was brown marking which seemed like excrement. Sink didn’t seem like it was clean.

100% satisfied with our stay here. Ample parking in the garage that's next to the hotel with easy access from hotel lobby. Hotel grounds were clean, staff are helpful and kind. The room was clean and modern. Kuerig coffee maker in room with fridge. Good selection of tv channels. About a 5 to 10 minute walk to Clarke Beach. There's is a free beach at the lighthouse and Jen Jansen house, if you walk behind the house there are small sand dunes and trails that you can walk over to get to the beach. 20 minute walk to Northwestern campus and their new sports complex which has good views of the Chicago skyline in a beautiful park. There is also a small outdoor patio in the pool area where you can smoke, eat, hang out.

Nice location with ample dining nearby. Two different train rails to hop on only a block or two away. One of the cleanest Hiltons I have stayed at by far. Very friendly staff that are knowledgeable to the area. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

A wonderful stay and a special thank you to Marcus. He made sure every detail was taken care of- from cough drops for my daughter to a champagne flute to celebrate. True class and style. Juana- very sweet and helpful- she made us feel at home. Management- please reward your great staff. Can’t wait to visit again. Our daughter goes to Loyola and we would go up to Evanston to stay with you. Thanks again!

Parking garage is expensive 18/day or 24/day thru the hotel unlimited ins/outs. Also hotel stay was planned for a week, I had an emergency and needed to leave on Thursday instead of Friday, the full hotel was going to charge me $100 cancellation fee (the room would have likely rebooked for more $ too) Also i noticed during my first shower the soap and conditioner pump style bottles were empty. I called the front desk and requested a refill an Monday, they provided housekeeping (was not asked) but still did'nt fill the soap and conditioner bottles. Took three calls to straighten this out. Overall bad experience and seemingly greedy of Hilton to charge they "valued" Diamond members a $100 cancellation fee. The rooms were older and the hotel in general needs an update.

I felt very welcomed the moment we stepped in to the hotel. The receptionist was very professional and answered all the questions that we had. Next time I’m in town I will definitely come back to this hotel.

I’ve stayed here three times now and the staff and service is exceptional! If you’re visiting Evanston or indeed Chicago this hotel is highly recommended!!!

The location is amazing! Close to everything. Service was really good. The rooms were nice. The only downside was the lack of parking. But we managed to use the street parking and avoid the $24 per night fee.

Great front desk staff, with easy check-in! Grouchy bartender! Your bartenders are usually helpful and friendly. Breakfast- the cheese in my omelet hadn't melted. Great waitress!

We needed a room block for a wedding, and Hilton Garden Inn made it happen! Alexis and her staff were very helpful throughout this entire process. They gave us an incredible rate for the room blocks and included breakfast as well as a parking spot for each room! We had quite a few out of town guests and having designated parking was very important, as Evanston is notoriously hard to park in. It was the perfect location to get ready for our wedding and stay the few days prior; quiet, clean, and the staff was wonderful.

I had a great stay here! A last minute reservation was gladly taken by the front desk assistant. She was very kind and made my stay start off great. She provided restaurants in the area and explained all features of the hotel. Even allowed me to double park and drop off my belongings, so I wouldn't have to haul them down the street. Parking is a lot only and 1/2 a block away so wear comfortable shoes. It is well lit and approximately $20 for overnight. If looking for restaurants, there are a ton about 2 or 3 blocks over, but they do close at 9pm. Chili's is a block away and stayed open until 11, but the parking there wasn't the best. The pool was well-maintained, had a pre-shower, looked clean, but the hot tub jets were a little weak. Also, pool was not heated. I still was able to enjoy it, so not a ton of complaints. The fitness room was excellent and even had a Peloton, so you don't skip a beat. Rooms were well-maintained, but very dimly lit. No large overhead lighting. Clean linens and furniture. The bathroom was clean and fully stocked. Outside of a few leftover rogue hairs in the shower it was pretty basic. I had a good night's sleep undisturbed. Hand sanitizer throughout the hotel and fresh morning papers available. The restaurant looked nice, but I only got a drink at the bar. The bartender was awesome too and gave great service. Overall, everyone was extremely nice and I could see myself staying here again in the future!

Had a great stay here in March. Marcus is the man of the hotel, so polite, friendly, courteous, and helpful. A lot of the staff take pride in working at this hotel and it shows in their guest relations. Elevator were good, hotel was clean and looked renovated. I really appreciate everyone’s efforts, you truly made my first stay in Evanston an enjoyable one, thank you 😊

Nice hotel , wonderful staff, and great location. There were a few issues but not enough to ding the overall experience. The staff at this particular HGI are really awesome and the hotel is very clean and spacious rooms! Bed was comfortable, nice toiletries in the bathroom, but no full size ironing board which I do not like. Price point was really good but Hilton Honor rewards and benefits are minimal. Would stay here absolutely stay here again and enjoyed walking downtown and exploring and even grabbed some ice cream at a local shop.

I stayed here for an event at Northwestern and I must say the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Despite catering to many guests, they did their best to accommodate everyone's needs. The standard room I stayed in was like any other hotel room, but it lacked overhead lighting and, unfortunately, the hotel didn't provide slippers for their guests. I made the mistake of dining at the hotel once. The food is overpriced and I wouldn't recommend it as there are many better options close by. They have a well-equipped gym, which was a positive aspect of my stay. Overall, the hotel is decent, but I would recommend avoiding the food and bringing your own slippers.

More than decent hotel, clean, with staff overall friendly and helpful, spacious rooms and comfortable bed. Complimentary coffee/tea regularly replaced, and a useful microwave in the room. I didn't try the breakfast, which is paid for separately. Prices are in line for the area. I found this Hilton much better in all respects (personnel, facilities,, cleanliness) than the other Hilton nearby, where I have also stayed a couple of times. If back in Evanston, I will certainly choose the Garden Inn again.

Great people and hotel. Very friendly and helpful. I would give 6 stars if the desk had floss. ;)

Pros: - Big room - Clean - the room wasn't expensive Cons: - Their parking arrangement is more expensive than just the regular ticket - Breakfast was a shame, they had expired products Will I stay here again? Not sure... not bad but also not good...

my visit was from august 11th to the 14th. There was a hiccup, where there were two people at the front desk to assist visitors. But, when i walked up and asked to check in, one of the staff just stared at me after asking my name, then waved a family through the front doors and assisted them. Didn't say "can you please hold?" or anything of the sort. no apologies from the family and no offer of help from the other employee at the front desk. After this incident, i was immediately put off. But, the other interactions seemed to be quite delightful. miji or kigi. i can't remember how to spell or say the name so i deeply apologize, was overly kind and such a sweetheart when i asked for extra toiletries such as toothpaste and shower soap. So, I really appreciated her help thursday (or friday) evening. The lady that had helped me check out on sunday was very informative and kind/patient with all of my questions from my check out e-receipt The room was beautiful, spacious, clean, and overall a sanctuary after long days adventuring in the city. lots of storage space for clothing, and for food on the counters. comfy bed and cozy bathtub. the room should definitely be shared as a couple. hottub was quiet and calm as it was a nice way to start off my day. overall, would definitely stay again.

Beware the "free" Nestle Pure life bottled water in the room. If you want to charge for water at least make it worth the charge. Mediocre hotel with lots of overpriced amenities and poor customer service. Will not be staying here again.

It has an amazing view from the balcony as well as the front desk staff were fantastic to meet. The fact its near a lot of restaurants makes it a perfect hotel stay.

Perfect location for our daughters graduation, walking distance to restaurants and campus. Nice, clean, rooms were spacious. The main takeaway was everyone was so nice.

Loved the cleanliness of our room, but was very disappointed that there wasn't a coffee bar. Came downstairs at 9am and was really disappointed that breakfast had been cleared out. Great place if you just need a place to crash.

Good place to stay for a short trip. Rooms are spacious, at least mine was. I didn't get to check out their pool or gym etc, but I heard other guests saying that it's good. Breakfast is not included, and there is no complimentary bottled water. But it's conveniently located to cafés and restaurants. Parking is around $20 a night in a parking garage adjacent to the hotel. Also you can go see the lake if you walk 10-15 mins.

Booked through Priceline. Got a good value for the quality of the hotel. Clean, well taken care of. Lots of added costs though, which has been normal in my experience with big city hotels, so nothing surprising. The only surprise was the extra $8 charge later I assume for the 2 $4 water bottles on the dresser that we didn’t even touch. The parking situation allowing you to come and go freely and easily during your stay was nice and made the $22 per day fee seem a little less steep.
