BEWARE:
We
paid
$159.00
in
advance
for
a
one
night
stay
on
July
1st,
2023.
We
selected
a
single
room
with
double
queen
beds
as
we
were
on
vacay
with
our
2
teenage
kids.
Upon
arrival,
the
front
desk
girls
were
having
a
hard
time
finding
the
reservation.
They
called
Amber;
Director
of
Front
Desk,
who
was
able
to
quickly
resolve
the
issue.
She
asked
for
my
card
to
hold
a
$50.00
incidental
fee
upon
check
in.
That
night
our
family
went
to
supper
and
our
card
was
declined
as
over
the
daily
limit.
When
looking
at
my
account,
I
recognized
2
more
pending
charges
for
$160.00
plus
and
another
for
$130.00
plus
for
this
room.
The
family
had
to
leave
the
restraunt
supperless
and
embarassed.
We
went
back
to
the
hotel
to
see
what
happened.
No
manager
was
on
duty
and
Amber
was
off
the
next
few
days
and
I
was
quite
confused
about
the
charges
as
we
had
already
paid
for
the
hotel
in
advance.
The
girls
at
the
front
desk
said
there
was
a
mistake
and
we
had
been
charged
twice
for
the
room
instead
if
the
incidental
fee
but
there
was
nothing
they
could
do
as
it
was
holiday
and
there
was
no
supervisor
or
manger
on
duty.
They
stated
they
had
a
new
card
reader
and
that
it
was
charging
people
double
but
they
werent
sure
why.
I
was
wonderimg
how
many
other
"Guests"
this
has
happened
to?
ALSO,
THE
CHARGES
WERE
ALL
DIFFERENT,
so
things
were
really
starting
to
get
frustrating
as
there
was
no
clear
reason
or
resolve.They
left
me
Stephen
Barr's
card
the
G.M.
of
the
Chicago
Northshore
Hotel
as
well
as
a
number
to
contact
Amber
the
Director
who
assisted
us
in
the
first
place.
After
6
days
and
several
unreturned
phone
calls
and
several
emails
to
corporate,
I
still
have
only
talked
to
1
person....the
same
front
desk
girl.The
total
cost
ended
up
at
$452.00
for
a
single
night
stay.
I
would
avoid
it.
It
is
a
nice
hotel
and
a
great
location
but
not
worth
the
time
and
energy
of
getting
the
money
back
and
the
fact
that
they
new
there
machine
was
overcharging
but
continued
to
cheat
people
anyway
is
very
disappointing.
