This is Ashley at the front desk. She will make you download the app to get into the gym. She will also degrade you by asking if you still have your physical gym card. Who keeps those? If you don’t physically have your vax card and ID with you she won’t even let you tan. Pictures don’t work. I repeat a picture does not work. I had a picture of both together on my phone. Ashley literally doesn’t want you to be able to get a workout in. She was very rude from the moment I walked in. Let’s all be just like Ashley today.

This is the third location I've been to and it is the best. Eric and the other staff are cheerful and helpful. They seem to be enjoying their jobs. They even provided a pad lock for my son. The place is very clean.

I began attending this gym after the mask mandate went back into effect, even though I was reluctant to do so. That worry went away after I saw the cleanliness of the gym, and how serious the employees take the COIVD guidelines. But, it was not until today that I decided to write a review: While at the gym this evening I witnessed multiple staff discussing the mask mandate with the disgruntled gym-goer who refused to wear a mask. Not only was the person spreading misinformation, without a mask on, but they were so hostile towards the staff that I actually left. I genuinely felt unsafe for my safety; not only because the individual wasn’t wearing a mask, but also he was very close to me actively using the stair-stepper while continuing to escalate in anger. Also, this person’s behavior just ruined my workout (I could hear him over my music). The patience and kindness of the staff members was something to be admired. I’ve never witnessed this type of behavior at this gym. But now that I have, I know that the staff will try effortlessly and respectfully to keep us all safe. If you want to join a gym, join this one. It really does feel like a community. And above all else, a safe place. -And whoever those workers are should get a raise because I would not have met this gentleman with such poise and grace as they did.

This Planet Fitness is always clean. I see the very pleasant staff constantly cleaning equipment, floors and locker rooms. Today I saw a 3 person crew move through the entire gym. One person tilted the machines so that the others could clean underneath the machines, one person vacuumed , one person mopped. Other times I have seen one person crews wiping down all the machines from top to bottom. Paper towels and spray disinfectant are available and plentiful. The gym has equipment that suits my full body workouts. The price is right. The staff are pleasant

Great for the monthly price! Totally wish they had a towel service for showers - even if it was a price add on. Trainer Erik is friendly. Personally feel they could have a few different weight machines . Idk how they track that data or observe but there’s machines I never see used yet people waiting for the same , as there is only 1 option.

Why am I Paying full price membership for this location that clearly gets old equipment that doesn’t even work half of the time. Also, the beverages have been low stock for almost 2 months, and now looks like this?? I can’t even buy a water bottle at a gym? I doubt the water fountains are cleaned. Horrible. How has nothing been done about this?

This is my favorite PF I’ve ever gone to. All the staff is always friendly and greets me and while that’s small, it means more than they know I’m sure! The facility is well maintained and cleaned. I have found that often times one of the stair master machines tends to be not working properly which can be annoying, but isn’t a big deal. I use the tanning beds and massage beds often which has become a great way to relax after my workouts. Solid gym and outstanding value for the price.

1. The crew and the staff is very good. Very good attention form the personnel. I will say that the staff and management cares to improve the experience and works to obtain the feedback of the custumer and improve the experience. 2. The gym has nice parking. 3. The facilities can improve for this location. This gym is in one of the prime and dense neighborhoods of the city, and the gym is a bit small for its location. It overcrowded during the week of the afternoon. The bathroom is small for the number of people who use it, and the machines get damaged quickly because they get used a lot.

I read great reviews, so I was excited to finally use my gym membership after being nervous to do so before being vaccinated. I let the person at the front desk know it was my first time there and she just stared blankly at me. No tour, no explaining of policies, nothing. Every gym I have ever been to has at least given me a quick two minute tour and at least let me know where bathrooms or locker rooms are. It was just a really weird experience for a gym that prides itself on being a welcoming environment.

Love the early morning crew. They are super friendly and welcoming. Do have an issue with1 afternoon employee whom has red hair. I believe she is the manager but she is not my idea of management. She is rude and gives my trainer and I a hard time almost every time we are in there. Everyone else is great!

Staff is incredible (especially Charles!) and the place is really clean, including tje bathroom. If you're not a bodybuilder, this place is really all you need. Don't buy into the memes. I've never heard the Hunk Alarm, not even once. It's more a marketing ploy than anything. Very affordable gym and great location. Couldn't ask for more.

Downside - it's always busy and it's kind of small (but it's a great gym for beginners). Upside - the staff is super nice and keeps the gym super clean. No kidding - the walk around with dusters cleaning equipment. Overall, it's a great gym with basic equipment for beginners. It is also a great place for gym veterans, because if you know what you are doing, you can get an awesome workout even with beginner equipment 💗

Staff was friendly & extremely courteous. Gym was clean and I felt extremely safe. Shout out to Natalie! It was my first visit and she went over everything and was just so kind.

Should be a 0 stars. Probably one of the most mismanaged gyms I've ever been too. Paper towel dispensers always empty, cleaning spray missing, and worse of all, the machines are constantly broken. These are just a few of the problems. It would be one thing if they worked to fixed them in a timely manner but the "manager" (really short guy that always wears a hat) is probably one of the most incompetent people that's ever "managed" anything. There's at least a number of machines constantly broken and when you ask him about when they might be fixed, he gets beyond emotional and irritated and literally says "you complain too much." Currently, the Peck Fly machine (one of the most used in the gym) has been broken for *2 WEEKS* and his only answer is "I ordered the wrong part, I'm waiting on another one." Members complain constantly but it's of no worries to him. The guy is absolutely unqualified for his job and the state of the gym reflects it. I'd suggest going LITERALLY anywhere else than this place. It's a poor excuse for a gym.

this is the placle you fwant to go if you tryiyng to get reel buff and also have carbdio for the first time in the near future and if you want to come thru and take a look at it they lyet you no problem! they evenlet me use the teredmill before I signed up so thanks Anders, I'm not evin sure if he workeed there either lolo

The staff are very nice which I truly appreciate but it's way too crowded so you often have to wait to use a machine or weights. Poor ventilation so it smells bad. Only one pair of weights in the entire, crowded gym for the weights that women and some people with disabilities tend to use (12 lbs, 8lbs). I pointed out the need for a second pair of 12 lb weights to the manager and 6 months later still just 1 pair. And they blast their bad music so loudly that they are damaging your hearing.

Members have access to a fitness environment that can meet any of their goals from beginner to experienced and professional levels.

Good gym BUT... how can you call it 24/5 when it's 24hrs Mon-Thurs. No judgement, but there seems to be a math error here. There are giant decals on the front windows that say 24/5. Like, human sized, with a big thumbs up. Photos attached.

I would absolutely recommend Planet Fitness and give them a 10 out of 10 stars. First, the membership is a great value, probably the best price in Lakeview. Second, you won’t find the pretense and cliques that make some other gyms annoying and even unbearable. Third, the manager Ashley has built a strong team that is always friendly, sincere, and motivational. They work hard to keep the equipment clean and in good repair and are always responsive to any question or request. Fourth, since we are still on the heels of a pandemic I appreciate the spray bottles of disinfectant readily available for each patron near the door.

If you've been considering joining a fitness center, I recommend Planet Fitness. The club is always clean, and the price is great. I have the Black Card (it's $25/month) which allows me to use the spa features (body enhancement, tanning beds, massage chairs and hydromassage beds), bring a friend at any time, and use every other planet fitness location I wish. I also love the staff at my home club. They always empower the members upon entering the facility and as they leave. It is truly the best place to work out.

I am an out of shape actor who has to get back in shape for two film projects. Both casting directors said I had to lose weight for my role. So, I was looking for a gym where I felt comfortable with being out of shape while getting back into shape. I found a home at Planet Fitness. The staff is great and the members are in their zone so you don't have to worry about any disapproving looks.

I've been working out at this PF for almost a year now. As someone who didn't enjoy working out because I felt uncomfortable in a gym setting - this gym creates a positive, non-judgmental environment. The equipment is always clean and the staff is very friendly.

Excellent gym. So many good things to share I don’t know where to begin. Huge parking lot, big plus! Walk in the door and the staff greets you and by name-wow! Table in the front has spray bottles to use while you workout. In the days of Covid this is much appreciated. The equipment is well maintained, in good working order. The club is exceptionally clean, staff is always present on the floor. Another huge plus! Massage equipment is a great way to finish your workout. Bottom line “Great Club” but the staff is the major HIT!!

I enjoy this place for all of my basic fitness needs, but wish they had a larger selection of Smith machines and stair climbers. The weight lighting area can be a bit crowded depending on what time you go. Staff is very nice and locker rooms are clean! :)

This is my first experience with Planet Fitness. I've belonged to many others. The girl who helped me sign up was great. Very pleasant and knowledgeable. The facilities r clean as they r constantly cleaning. I believe I'll b very happy here.

I worked for a gym so my expectations are high for the employees.knowing my name helping me with problems that happen or just asking how my day is going goes along way with me,and the employees here do all that.Let’s start with Kelsey she goes above and beyond what a good sorry great manager should be. When I was having some Issues with another gym that my father was going to she help me solve the problem, got my father back in the gym and he’s 83.I was just blown away by her effort to make me happy.so Kelsey is a great asset to this gym.now as for Jordan Matt Natalie and John under Kelsey‘s supervision these employees go out of their way, to know the ins and outs of this gym, they all have the same work ethics as Kelsey.so to sum this up Kelsey and these other smiling faces I see every day make my gym experience always wonderful.

Very small gym that gets very busy at peak times. This is definitely the cheapest option in Chicago but you get what you pay for.

I’ve been going to quite a few Planet Fitness locations over the last few years and none of them make me want to come back, until recently and this is thanks to staff member Ashley. Ashley is by far the most pleasant staff person I ever encountered. They always greet me with the warmest of smile, and have given me great compliments that have uplifted my spirit on bad days, and now I look forward to coming just to encounter their inviting spirit. The overall upkeep of the facility always clean and sanitize when I go, so I will stay coming back on the regular. Ayanna

Male staff members cleaning the female lockers continuously “forget” to utilize the sign that alerts female customers before they enter the locker room that a male is inside. So they unknowingly come in and start to undress just for a male to appear from the bathroom. Ridiculous. Will file a complaint and discontinue my membership

Although it can get crowded here, there are still opportune moments to come. Apart from that, I adore this place and the employees. They consistently maintain its cleanliness and provide all the necessary equipment for a fantastic workout during every visit.

First, let me say how genuinely friendly the staff is at the location I frequent (Broadway near Addison in Chicago), especially the facility manager, Steve.There is an abundance of first rate equipment always available, with the staff constantly ensuring that the equipment and general facility is clean and safe. I have been a member there for several years, and look forward to my workouts.

This gym would be amazing if they had more space, which would obviously mean they’d have to expand so I know it’s a lot to ask but the membership at this gym is very high. It’s always very crowded unless I go in after 7:30pm on the weekday. I really wish I could go at 5pm. Other than that, it’s clean and kept up except for the few times they run out of paper towels. I can’t say anything stands about about the staff, they’re not very attentive but at least they sometimes greet you.

I joined PF when I was living in San Diego. I moved back to Chicago in the beginning of 2022. The area I live there are two PF's about the same distance away, the one on Broadway that is my home gym and another North of where I live. My plan was to spend a week or two at each gym and decide which one I liked better to make my home gym. But, after the first two visits to the Broadway location I made my choice. There is a good atmosphere and good energy at this location that can only be attributed to the staff and the manager, I do not know her name and I'm wrong for that, but she has been the constant since I first visited this gym as other staff have come and gone. I really enjoy this location, friendly staff, very welcoming, clean, and just an overall good energy at this location!

My daughter loves this location... she just joined.. and she has nothing to say but good things about the staff as well as the cleanliness of this gym. Someone named Ashley has been great!!!!

It is always a pleasant experience going to this gym and I look forward to it every day. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. They are always working hard to ensure the machines are clean and in good shape. Disinfectant is always available for every patron and the paper towel machines are always full. The locker room and restrooms are always clean. Definitely a 10 out of 10.

Perfect fitness gym for anyone who wants to keep fit. They offer a 18 month membership for $299 paid in full. Limits are you can only use this local and you can't bring a guest.

I have been a loyal PF member for 6 years however i cannot work out here. I just moved nearby. Staff is great but the equipment is older, it’s small, and extremely crowded. Not only that but people argue over machines. I was also harassed by this clown who kept coming up to me and calling me cracker, egg white, white biscuit like what? Was minding my own business. I’ve been working out for 6 years. Traveled for work and used PF in cities in over 25 states and have never had an issue with other club members. Just not a friendly and welcoming environment and not the atmosphere you want when you work out.

The gym location is super convenient. You never have to wait to long, if ever for the machine that you’d like. I enjoying going here. Everyone seems really in the zone and everyone is friendly. Can’t complain. Very clean.

I don't leave many reviews but this I had to make. This has to be the cleanest gym I have visited in years. I really only visit on nights because that's when I get off work. And trying to find one I like was difficult until I found this one. The crew on nights are some of the friendliest people I ever met. Jazz, Louis and Shar. They know my name and I know theirs which makes me feel very comfortable which can make the experience feel personable. Only thing I don't like is that they are closed on weekends. I have visited almost every planet fitness on the north side and I can assure you it's not only the cleanest but the friendliest. Great Job!

It’s always clean and the staff are constantly improving, so it makes the gym a nice and healthy environment to be around. When there are any equipment that needs maintenance it is done pretty quickly. I also love how the staff and the manager Eric personally calls me by my name every time I walk in the door and it makes me feel welcomed! Keep up the great work Broadway! I have been coming to this location over 2 years now and I can honestly say I recommend it to everyone I know!

This gym is truly a class apart as far as the management and cleanliness go...It has been about 2 weeks since I joined and have noticed that the changing rooms are kept spotlessly clean, equipment is well maintained and staff always greet everyone during check-in! The experience is unbeatable for the price and the hours are perfect too!

Lack of equipment! Underwhelming weight area! Excessive amount of cardio equipment that is unused & epic waste of Space utilization! Don’t come to this gym between the hours of 7am-10pm can’t get a workout in cause there is barely ANY EQUIPMENT! The hydro chairs are old & average. There have been problems with them since the 1st day they opened this location. There’s only been 3 upgrades or new things put in a HYDROBED, a refillable water fountain for bottles & a TV in the stretching area which is the equivalent of a home workout! The weight area is vastly lacking, pieces missing & not even remotely enough to service the excessively over sold & crowded gym. They have these filthy disgusting mats to stretch on. Instead of hanging them everyone just stacks them on top of the other, 4KING DISGUSTING!

Great gym and nice staff. The main problem for me is they have dedicated too much space to cardio equipment (which at peak time is maybe 60% full) and not enough to the free weight-area which is always very crowded (even at off peak it is busy). I would like to see them increase the free weights available and sacrifice some cardio equipment.

By far the worst planet fitness I have been to. My experience was horrible starting off with trenadel (manger) was horrible and lazy when it came to helping my guest get in on the other hand gym was dirty and both workers cared more about being on the phone vs the guest. I will never come back

Great location! The staff here is always so friendly and inviting. I signed up for a Create Your Own Program and Jordan was my trainer. So kind, encouraging, and knowledgeable about any questions I had. I love coming here!
