Horrible place with horrible owner. As a disabled person with a service animal I was turned away. I expressed to the sales person that my 6lb dog strapped to my chest was trained as a service animal for my disability.. she insisted on getting the owner. I told the owner that my dog was a service animal and she said, she didn't believe in pet ownership. She that my entering her store violated her rights and beliefs.

We have been in the area most of the Summer. We went into this store previously and had a great time shopping. Went in tonight to celebrate a milestone for my oldest daughter and we were treated terribly by the older woman who worked there. She treated my kids like criminals even though there were other teenagers in there roaming about. My middle daughter was really upset and in tears when we left. She gave me dirty looks and then rang up someone else instead of us when we were clearly in line. I felt so hurt that she needed to treat us like that on what was supposed to be a treat that my girls had looked forward to all week. I will admit my 7 year old was having a hard time and throwing a fit that I was struggling to keep under control but she was tired and being crabby which is not uncommon for 7 year old's and I had no choice but to bring her. I am sad that I have given this place money after tonight. I wish people could treat others with respect, especially those with all the acceptance flags and signs. We deserved better tonight.

Loved this store and all the items there and came here throughout my childhood. I was so excited to be back in today to shop and was going to purchase multiple items but really had to go to the washroom. I asked if they had a washroom and they said no. So I said “really?” as I was confused since everywhere has to have one. They then said “well, not for customer use.” So they lied and I stood there in shock because they lied straight to my face about a bathroom existing it was also an emergency and then they said “it’s not working, it’s out of order.” How am I supposed to believe that after they lied the first time? I will no longer be a customer of this business, I feel so bummed. There should be exceptions - I wouldn’t even care if they waited outside the washroom if they were worried about me being in the back or something. Not a way to treat customers.

Such cute things. Too bad their return policy sucks. I tried returning a holiday gift today and their holiday policy only extends to 3 weeks. And I was just a few days out from window. What a waste. I believe in buying local but will have second thoughts now given my step daughter wasted her money.

Very nice selection of unusual items. A very nice boutique with reasonable prices. I love just coming to visit and window shop!

We absolutely love this store. They have incredible prices, and their jewelry is like nothing else I’ve seen. We came in on a busy day and Catherine gave us wonderful service! While being pulled in all directions she still managed to be incredibly helpful, attentive, and fast. Catherine, you’re my hero!

Grew up in Evanston and I can say this is one of the town's best hidden gems. Gorgeous and unique jewelry. It's my go-to spot when shopping for delicate, dainty pieces - all amazing quality. That being said, I do agree with a previous comment about constantly being monitored by employees.

Quirky shop has been a staple for gifts forever, and for good reason. Well curated, mostly accessories, jewelry, some clothes, all of it cheeky and reasonably priced. If you could use some disco sun glasses and socks that instruct others to F off, this is your place. Staff is great. Fyi they close in late winter for a couple months.

I absolutely love this store! It is truly an Evanston gem that EVERYONE needs to visit to see what the rage is all about. Whether you want to pick yourself up on a gloomy day with a fun piece of jewelry, colorful socks, or retro sunglasses - this is the place for you. Plus they have cool merchandise at every turn, and the store isn’t small, so give yourself some time to peruse. I love getting gifts here and NEVER leave empty-handed. Bonus: if you love the 80s like me, you’ll always leave with a little dose of nostalgia. Staff is great, too! They are closed for winter break for a couple months, but be sure to pay them a visit once they are back up and running! You’ll be glad you did. ❤️

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful as a first time client. Love the small buissness atmosphere as well. Nice selection and display of items. The packaging for gift wrapping was my favorite part.

The Mexican shop is one of my favorite stores of all time. I always go here to buy friends gifts and get myself cute jewelry. The staff is super friendly and the prices are very fair. The items in the store are cute but also unique which I appreciate. Love this store and am so sad it’s closed until summer right now!

Got a lot of Christmas shopping done here and they even boxed up my purchases! Who does that?! Prices were reasonable as well.
