Medical clinic Walk in clinic

😠 Never going here again!!! Dr. Romeo had me in his office for less than 5 minutes. I sat down, told him about the pain I was experiencing, told him what areas were affected and mentioned how my family thought it may be an infection of some sort. He did not ask any further questions, he didn't examine... People often mention doctor, clinic, time, told, wait, receptionist, appointment, waiting, kind, doctors,

Never going here again!!! Dr. Romeo had me in his office for less than 5 minutes. I sat down, told him about the pain I was experiencing, told him what areas were affected and mentioned how my family thought it may be an infection of some sort. He did not ask any further questions, he didn't examine the different areas I said were causing pain, he barely even examined me at all. He used a tool to look in my ear for half a second, said it was kinda red and that I "probably do have an infection". I was prescribed strong and specific antibiotics for the apparent ear infection I was told I had... and 4 days later I went to Urgent Care at the hospital because the pain was not any better. The hospital said there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY EAR and the doctor at the clinic should have never given me the antibiotics they did. Within 20 minutes, the hospital was able to determine the real issue and even gave me suggestions for further at-home care. I am DISGUSTED by the lack of basic respect this clinic has for its walk-in patients. Horrible experience and I will never be back. DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING HERE!!

Been a patient here for just over a year. Trying to get in touch with a doctor is kind of insane. I had a moderately serious issue a few months back and when I called to book an appointment I was told the next available appointment was 3 months away and I was told there were no walk-in appointments available for the foreseeable future. Even trying to book a phone appointment with a doctor here for something like asking questions about bloodwork is at least a week away in my experience. To put this in perspective, I booked a walk-in appointment with a different clinic and not only was I given an appointment on the same day, I was also given a specific time for that appointment and barely had to wait for that appointment when I arrived at that clinic. The waiting room is also very small at this location, which is fine but as it's usually very busy here, you're often crammed in with people openly coughing while not wearing masks. I would have given 1 star but the doctors are pretty nice, so I'll throw them that bone. Not sure if they've just approved too many patients or it's just local population density driving appointments up, but I have decided to seek new medical representation. I don't go to the doctor often, but when I need to see my family doctor, I need to know that I will be able to see my doctor within at least one weeks time. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this clinic unless there's literally nowhere else you can go.

I accompanied a family member to see a doctor at this clinic. Wow What a horrible place! The receptionist was very very rude and unprofessional to say the least! I have no idea why the doctors or managers are not advising her to be respectful and professional! Perhaps she is a family member or a relative to one of the healthcare providers in the clinic. This receptionist should learn the basic 101 Ethics and respectful work environment. In my second visit, there was a trainee with the same receptionist, and she was torturing her with attitude and yelling. Well, unfortunately all patients were witnessing it. I advise everyone to be cautious of this person so called receptionist!

NO STARS - Shocked at the receptionist's attitude, simply called to inquiry about hours of operation and was responded with nothing but attitude and rudeness. Also I had been trying to call for 2 days now and never got through to anyone until today. ( Walmart said they closed at 5pm but Google said 8pm so I wanted to confirm) Was excited to know there was somewhere close I could bring my children but will never step foot in there after this. Very Disappointing.

1st time visit to the Grant Park Walk-in Clinic at Walmart with my very sick son. Service was great and Dr. Brown was fantastic. Very polite and kind, taking the time to diagnose my son. Thank you very much. We used the associated Walmart pharmacy and received our prescription in less than 10 minutes on a somewhat busy afternoon. Cheers to all involved with the speedy recovery of my son.

Just had a bad experiencing with this clinic. It was my first (and last) time at this place. The receptionist was unwelcoming, rude and unprofessional. She even yield twice at a patient who was trying to provide his contact information. Unbelievable! The doctor was not helpful and did not provide any guidance with my daughter health issue. And he reacted in a sarcastic way when I asked him if there was something ‘natural’ i can give my daughter for her cough. His answer was plutonium is natural. Last thing, the waiting time was 3 hours. I waited for more than 2.5 hours.

I went there for the first time yesterday and was denied seeing a doctor due to having lost my health card. I had all the required numbers as well as My ID and was still sent away. Went to another clinic and I was able to see a doctor no problem. I didn’t find it appropriate to deny me medical service due to waiting for a physical health card in the mail. Was really confused having to walk out the door. Usually don’t like to write negative reviews but I hope they don’t do that to anyone else. Someone else may have been discouraged and never sought medical attention until receiving their card. Which as you know isn’t what a medical clinic should want.

Needed a place to go to asap with a female doctor as I feel more comfortable with a female doctor. Did not wait long front desk and doctor were friendly and professional. Getting a prescription at Walmart was also quick.

Go there if you want to wait more than hospital wait times. Rude receptionist and doesn’t answer to straight questions. Doesn’t want to go again.

One of the worst clinic and doctor staff of this location. I told my symptoms and doctor asks me what do I want? she doesn't know what to do for treatment. Moreover, they do not provide mask and charge 1 dollar for mask. very poor clinic... They do not want to do covid-19 test themself. Instead they tell patient to do test in their car and then come to clinic. Never ever go to this clinic. it is better to go Emergency department and wait there.

Edited 2023-01-12: I am bumping this up to a 3 star because the doctor had called us back and told us that she called the pharmacy sent them the prescription because she was worried about my mom missing a dose. Thank you very much to Dr. Dorota Nawrocka. My mom and I really appreciated the call, it made us feel like she listened and she cared. Original post: Receptionist was quite rude to my mother. My mom went in to refill her prescription because we couldn't contact her family doctor in time as their clinic closes just as she gets off work and her BP was high. She forgot to bring the bottles of her medication with her to the appointment so the doctor asked her to try and get someone to send a picture of the bottles or to have her pharmacy fax them the prescription. The receptionist told my mom that the pharmacy was not allowed to fax them the prescription and so my mom asked if she could just write down the prescription while talking to the pharmacist over the phone to give it to the doctor. The receptionist told my mom to stop being disrespectful even though she wasn't, and insisted that my mom leave the clinic because they wouldn't be able to help her. My mom said that the doctor she saw was okay, but the receptionist made the experience awful. She also said that just before she went in to see the doctor, the receptionist was listening to the conversation another patient was having on the phone and yelled at that patient to stop being disrespectful and leave the clinic as well. As a customer service agent, I can understand having bad days and not tolerating disrespect, but these instances were not even considered disrespectful. Looking at the other reviews on here as well, I think that it would be beneficial for the receptionist to receive retraining on compassion, empathy, and active listening.

I’ve been going to this clinic for years to see dr. Lucy who is fantastic. One of the best doctors I’ve ever had. Unfortunately I can’t say the same for the receptionists. I’ve received an extreme amount of attitude from them when talking over the phone and in person. I’ve also witnessed others have this experience as well even when being very polite and respectful. It’s to the point now when ever I have to call or go in for something I get very anxious as I never know how I’m going to be treated by the receptionists.

On February 1st/24, I visited Sunshine Clinic with breathing issues. Within 10 minutes, the doctor present had determined that I had a very serious heart issue. This started a fast hospitalization process which may have saved my life. Thank you so much for your efficiency and professionalism. LFS

It is Sunday of a long weekend and was happy to find this clinic open. The front desk staff was polite and efficient. No waiting. Saw a great doctor ( Etukakpan)and she did an exam and gave me a prescription that was I later learned the best prescription she could have given me. It’s spotless and easy to access. I am very impressed. Thank you for your service.

I'm really upset right now. I have chronic tonsillitis. I had asked for amoxicillin as I get this often. I was denied, told there's a chance I had mono, she couldn't find any signs of mono but sent me for a blood test and she would call me today. Well today she's not even working and all the blood places are closed. I'm suffering with tonsillitis which is getting worse. I've never had this happen before. I need my penicillin.

I will never be going back again, the doctor was 30 minutes late to the clinic it was so crowded in there. After 30 minutes of waiting it got ridiculously crowded that I had to go and wait in my car. After waiting in my car for 1 hour I come back to see the people who were in there 1 HOUR ago still in the same sits and waiting, I thought "1 hour wasn't bad" and the receptionist said to come before 12am so we did we had to wait 2 more hours in the waiting room. At this point I was really frustrated, because I barely had energy to get out of my bed because I was so sick but waiting 3 hours? It was miserable. Finally after 3 hours we go in, I felt so relieved, but I had to wait ANOTHER hour in the room while I was there the receptionist told me in a very passive aggressive way to not close the door. At this point I was close to walking out but I was so sick I had to wait, the doctor finally came and all she told me is to take some Advil and Tylenol, I normally never come to the clinic whenever I get a cold, this was different it hurt so bad I came to the clinic for a reason. But the doctor was real friendly just frustrated with my experience. My total waiting time was 4 hours.

I am surprised to read some low rated reviews below. Dr. Romeo Llanos has been our family doctor for years now. He always listens carefully, he is friendly and easy to communicate with, always willing to answer the questions and provide the best service. Also, I meet Dr. Lucy is couple of times, as a walk-in patient. She was aslo great. Not sure about all the doctors of Sunshine, but Dr. Romeo and Dr. Lucy are great, no complaints at all.

Only giving a 1 star because there is no 0 star option. Missed appointment because phone appointment was at 1 time, doctor called an hour later and we were unable to speak at that time. They then billed for missed appointment and refused to see us due to unpaid bill for Strep throat which needs antibiotics or it just gets worse. I get billing for actual missed appointments but refusing to see a patient because of it is ridiculous. Also, over the months many of the receptionist are very rude and abrupt!

In this clinic I have already twice been wasting my time by either the reception or the doctor. They said they sent the prescription to the Costco pharmacy, so I went back after a while, but Costco said I didn't receive it, and the hospital said they were not responsible and sent it back. For them, this seems to be no problem as it happens often. People who use this place will always be relieved by reminding the staff of their forgetfulness. Don't forget to ask again.

STAY AWAY. Receptionist is so rude I have no idea how she is still working with patients with a vile attitude. She told me that I can come to walk in center and get there by 7pm and I'll get seen. I got there 15 minutes earlier and she said no one can see you. The receptionist would hardly let me speak as she kept speaking over me. I drove 30 minutes to get there and left work early. What a joke!

If there was a NO STAR, I would have given it !!!! Was told I get a call when my lab results are in . Waited and NOTHING . Wanted to get them by phone but the phone cuts out after three times had. When I dropped into the clinic I was told the results were in long time ago. On two occasions I dropped by and the clinic was CLOSED ! When I approached the receptionist about the no call about the results and being closed she just ignored me ! What kind of WALK IN CLINIC is that ??? The staff is incompetent and does not care about the patient!!! Will NEVER go there again and will NEVER recommend the place to anybody!!! Totally disappointed...... 😡😡😡

Long waits in a frigid waiting room. I waited 3 hours in a freezing cold waiting room. The doctor on duty has a few scheduled appointments and also sees the walk-in patients. This causes for a very disorganised clinic. Only about one patient is seen every 30 minutes. Save yourself a lot of time and shivers, and choose to go elsewhere.

I found out about this clinic through city's Family Doctor Finder service. I have lived in many places but I have never been to a walk-in clinic like this one. They are simply amazing. The doctor, staff, they are so welcoming, friendly, and caring. Our family doctor there is patient and caring. My wife is still learning English so she usually gets very nervous to go see doctors as she needs to deal with medical terms. The doctor waits for my wife's response and speaks slower but softly for my wife. After meeting her there, my wife no longer fears going into the clinic. We are very fortunate that we were introduced to such an amazing doctor. The receptionist lady is always fantastic, too. She is always cheerful, straightforward, and quick to respond. I appreciate that she doesn't seem annoyed of the small talk. She also knows what she is doing, very quick and precise at what she does. I can tell they strive to keep the relationship with us patients very human and approachable and I have to say, they are doing a wonderful job at that. Again, never been to a clinic like this. Recommend to anyone.

My mom needed to see a doctor sooner than what was available through her GP's office so went to the clinic in the Walmart on Taylor. The Medical Office Assistant (purple hues in her hair) at the front desk was alone but you never would have known it, she was so polite, kind and professional; she actually apologized for the wait time and my mom was a walk-in! My mom saw Dr. Llanos and she was *so* impressed. He was able to do for in her 1 (in person) visit what her actual GP hadn't been able to accomplish in 3 (!) phone appointments. She felt heard, understood and cared for, for the first time in a long time. Thank you to everyone on this team!!

Dr. Lucy is amazing. She is very knowledgable and thorough. Also having a GP that takes patients as walk-ins is incredibly helpful. If I wasn't able to get in to see her so quickly as a walk-in I would have ended up having to go to an Urgent Care Centre for sure!

Do you like having a few hours worth of tests stretched out over three months? Do you like being re-told things you already knew when you started the process? Do you like being ignored when communicating that you are in constant pain and would appreciate expediency? If you answered 'hell yes!' to any of these, then this is the place for you. At least the doctor is friendly...

Dr Lucy was very professional and listened to my concerns. She asked lots of questions to ensure she had a good idea of what was needed. An examination was done to ensure the medication prescription would be appropriate and a follow up was booked for a month after to follow up and make changes as needed. I was especially impressed with the time taken and no rushing and excellent with shy nervous person.

The receptionist was great when checking a busy waiting room in and apologizing for the Doctor being late. It is 30 minutes past when the Dr was supposed to arrive and she is still not here. This is absolutely unprofessional and completely ridiculous. There are numerous sick people stuck in a small space waiting. I have been here before and this is not the first time I have waited for the doctor to even arrive. If you cannot be on time then do not take the shift.

Dr. Lucy is the kindest physician I have ever had. She listens carefully to everything you say. She never ever rushes an appointment or makes you feel like she doesn't have time for you. She always has a soothing explanation for you and I'm so glad she's my new GP. I have severe anxiety about visiting any sort of doctor, usually I can't bring myself to go even if something is very urgent but Dr. Lucy makes it easier. Her office is a judgment free zone. Receptionists aren't always the friendliest but I understand everyone has good and bad days. Overall good experience .

I went today May 29,22 to the walk-in around 12 pm. I requested to see a Dr. and I got seated with 5 people ahead. While I was waiting, people were being told to come back later after 2 pm because the doctor breaks for lunch from 1-2pm At 12:55 pm the receptions tells me that he may not be able to see me. One might wonder why she didn’t tell me that 1 hour ago. Finally at 12:56pm she says I will get into a room. As I am walking into a room and I seat down feeling quiet sick, we passed the doctor that he was leaving another room. Quiet audibly he belittles the receptionist telling her that he needs to break for lunch and return 2 phone calls. This is the level of care you get; instead of tending to a sick patient, it was more important for him to take a lunch than having a consult for another 10 min. The receptionist asked me to come back to which I said F NO. I have no interest in seeing that kind of doctor, one that displays 0 (zero) caring in front of his patients and is more important for him to have a lunch and make phone calls. This place only wants to make money by billing instead of caring for their patients STAY AWAY! Far far away from this people.

I’ve been going to Sunshine for about two years because it’s the closest pharmacy near my place and I’ve had terrible experiences. It’s always busy and they don’t take over the appointments seriously. I tried seeing a doctor on Sunday but I was told they were at capacity so I booked an over the phone appointment for today. I was told they were going to call at 6pm and it’s 8pm now and they still have not called me. All I need is a prescription, I scheduled a time but my appointment was not prioritized at all. Would not recommend at all, if you do not want your time wasted.

Very Rude Receptionist!!!!!!!!! Today I visit there to put my kids on in advance before they come to this walk-in. First, the rude receptionist told that we need to wait 2 hours so I said okay we’ll be here around 3:40pm. But she told me she’s gonna call us after 10 minutes and then if we won’t respond, she’s gonna remove us very very rudely like command. I liked this walk-in clinic because there were kind doctors and kind receptionist. I’ve never experienced like her before. She has to learn to be kind.

Receptionist is very rude. She gave me attitude when I asked how long the wait was as there wasn't enough chairs and my daughter needed to lay down and had a high fever. She told me to make sure to be back in half an hour or we would lose our spot in line and would not be seen. So we came back in half an hour and still waited almost 2.5 hours with me and my daughter sharing 1 chair. Then when I asked for a paper cup to be able to give my daughter some water she rolled her eyes at me and walked away without answering. She came back with water and still didn't say anything. Then when I used the washroom she yelled at me to turn the light back on when I came out . Very poor customer service

I will give this clinic sa low rating primarily because of the people at reception. Im not generalizing all of them but most of the time these people are so not flexible, they aren’t pro-active in helping you reach the doctor if you’re waiting for a result. They would want you to come in and book an appointment only to discuss the results of bloodworks. They would want you or your son who is sick to come in only to discuss the results of those tests! How ridiculous is that? Our doctor isn’t that great either, he knows we’re waiting for the results of our tests but it’s always so difficult to reach them or them to contact you.

I attended Sunshine in early June for a minor issue and was fortunate to meet Dr. Oluseyi Taiye-Akinsun. Upon examination she discovered an abnormality and referred me to a specialist, to be seen within two days! Long story short I was very impressed with Dr Taiye-Akinsun’s demeanour, professionalism and her attention to details. I will also add I was impressed with the professionalism displayed of the front reception staff, top notch! I highly recommend the Sunshine Medical Clinic on Taylor and Dr. Taiye-Akinsun.

Waited about one hour with 3-4 people ahead of me on a Saturday when the clinic likely had less staff on. Definitely not a bad wait time compared to other clinics. It felt like the receptionist was prioritizing checking me in over the numerous phone calls she was receiving which I appreciated. The doctor was very nice and it felt like she was listening to me and had a genuine interest in helping me. Overall great experience

Communication between doctors and clients is outstanding, dr Lucy asks questions to make a proper diagnosis, explains and offers excellent advice , I would recommend this clinic as one of the best.

Worst walk in dr doesnt listen to you. I have chronic bronchitis and know it starts from sinus infection. Told me it was laryngitis. Spent the night coughing up phlegm. Called the clinic only to be told to come back..fraustraded with having to come back to get antibiotics. And pay for a new drs note . It's only been less then 48 hrs.

Waste of time! Doctor was condescending and rude. Told me I could pick up something over the counter went to pharmacy and was told that wasn’t the case needed a prescription for it they faxed off the request for a prescription and never replied back ended up having to go somewhere else. Definitely won’t go back.

First time coming here came in on Tuesday (August 20th) had to wait about an hour and an half understandably though as it was in the evening and a few people were ahead of me so it was not an issue at all-they do offer pagers so you can shop while you wait but I didn't have the energy. Lobby was clean and quiet. The receptionist (Ashley?) was very nice. She offered me water due to my non stop coughing ( I felt so bad and annoying I kept apologizing and she kept assuring me that I didn't need to apologize) When I was seen, Dr Nawrocka was very nice and took her time explaining things to me and answering any questions that I had (I'm pregnant so there were many questions hahaha) I definitely recommend this clinic and will be back!

If you go on Tuesday dont expect the Doctor to show up until after 10am, even though the doors open at 9am. Apparently because the doctor on Tuesday just doesn't come in before that time.

Every time I come they say they are at capacity yet no ones in the office and there’s still hours before they close. When you are seen you are misdiagnosed. Not sure where they graduated.

I really had a bad experience. It was last saturday around 1:20pm I took my 6 year old son, who got fell down and injured himself biting his tongue.. it was such a nasty cut.. I ran to this clinic expecting some medical attention. I requested the nurse to see the doctor immediately, since it was an emergency.. but she told the kid was not in distress so he can wait..Actually he was bleeding internally and I was consoling him that it was not major issue, so that he won't be panicked. With all his immense pain I was waiting for one hour. We are new comer to this country, and it was my first experience. When I about to move to another hospital, the nurse told me that the big hospital take 3 hours waiting time. so I was upset and decided to wait for an hour. In the mean time my child was thirsty, I requested for a cup of water. But the nurse guided me to go to wallmart to grab a water bottle. since we are next in queue. I decided not to go. But somehow with a big heart the nurse gave a glass of water. ( A clinic without water dispenser? damn what kind of developed place it is). Then came the climax.. when we reached the doctor, the doctor told that she dont have the stitching facility for tongue, and I have to run to children hospital.. I gave mouthful to both doctor and nurse for making me to wait for an hour to listen their inability. The nurse could have conveyed the emergency to doctor and for her decision.. but didn't happen. :(

Desapointed. Arrived on Sunday 1h 30m before it's close and didn't want to take any patients. There were just 2 people inside the clinic at that moment.

Second in line at 9:30am on a Saturday and was waiting inside with my 2 year old no one waiting outside. When they opened the doors they opened the outside doors first allowing clients who just got to the outside door to skip the line. We went from being second to fourth. Not being seen till much later.

the receptionists are grocery, they do not care how people feel. Today July 30 I went and the truth I take a great disappointment in the service they provide. I know that doctors can be busy but treating them is not appropriate.

  • 2/5 Amanda M. 6 years ago on Google
Nice clean office, great receptionist, reasonable wait time, but rudest dr ive ever encountered in my life! From being sarcastic when I'm asking her valid questions about my son's prescription (that she just prescribed).. to making incorrect assumptions on my pharmaceutical history of asthma medications without actually asking. She told me to get a mild shampoo for my son when I asked her if she has one to recommend she told me verbatim "figure it out" Do yourself a favor, if you come here see anybody except Dr. Azadeh Malekalkalami!

Posted time on Sunday is open until 1. I had a very quick question and got there at 12:50. Was told doctor had left 5 minutes before. Perhaps posted hours do not reflect reality? Perhaps something unusual came up. So disappointing.

I was there 11:30 in the morning. The front desk told me 2:30pm is available. I went there at 2:00 and ask how many people ahead me, she said 2. half hr later, I asked again, she said 4. Then why did she tell me to be there at 2:30pm?

Bet there this morning, 4th to be seen in approx 45 minutes. 2+ hours later they had a computer error and don't know how long it will be, left without seeing a doctor. Had tried previously, 1 day not taking walkins, other day no doctor in. Will not be back.

Waited an unbelievably short 5 minutes! Had to check to a) see if I was dreaming and b) to see if I was actually in Manitoba or had been transported magically to a place in the world where wait times and proper care are not ridiculously off-the-chart....like Rawanda.....or Manitoba. Doctor was pleasant and right away treated me for ailment. Anti-biotics worked wonders and everything was great.

Arrived at 8:55 with 6 or 7 people ahead of me. Waited over an hour in the waiting room and another 45 minutes in a room before seeing a doctor. This is much slower than any clinic I've been to in the past. I will not be going back. The doctor was very good but it doesnt make up for the huge wait.

Waiting for my "phone appointment" tomorrow morning, however, the receptionist I spoke to was fairly stand-offish. Really seemed like she didn't enjoy her job, nor did she want to be speaking to patients calling for information. Not a great experience. (Edit; Yesterday I was booked for a "phone appointment" today for 9am, only to have that phone call not happen. The doctor called me at 11am. 2 hours after the appointment was supposed to happen. I didn't pick up, to which I was called again 2 hours later. The doctor on the phone made it known she wasn't happy about me not picking up at 11am. To which I replied, "if I, as a patient came 2 hours late for my appointment, she wouldn't have been very happy", at that point, she got fairly irate, and told me I've wasted her time. Quite the double standard here). Don't waste your time with this place. Terrible experience. Zero stars.

I just saw Dr. Romeo Llanos and am so pleased with his help. I've not felt this "heard" by a doctor in a long time. He was so kind and addressed each of my issues and ordered the tests and made the referrals. What a wonderful doctor! And the young lady at the front desk was such a sweetheart! I listened to her answering call after call and never failing to be so sweet, polite and helpful.

Faithful, kind, fast and friendly. On top of meds and referrals. I am on disability and many times my paperwork has been done without cost. Dr. Llanos is a very knowledgeable, fast acting doctor. I appreciate him so very much. Receptionist was rude and didn't send off important $100 forms. I waited for 3 months, called to confirm and she said that I hadn't paid.... I had the receipt in front of me. Just short and rude and she makes me feel uneasy and like I don't matter.

Second visit to this walk-in clinic. On both occasions I waited less than 10 minutes to see a doc. Receptionist was perfectly fine. Had a different doc each visit and both were friendly and thorough and I did not feel rushed. Both times the doc took some time and provided some extra info to help me out above and beyond just writing a prescription. Probably the best walk in experiences I can remember. I would go again if my regular doc was unavailable, and would def recommend to family or friend.

Seriously! Your intake process is ridiculous. I don’t even like sharing that much personal information in an online form but for you to then say you haven’t received it, please resubmit?!! Unacceptable.

Great walk in clinic with extremely friendly staff and doctors! The wait time was a bit longer than expected but still not too bad! Because of the wait time the receptionist had offered to give me a call when it was my turn to be seen so that I didn't have to sit and wait, which I thought was really above and beyond!

I've been coming here for a year and a half and have always had a positive experience; whether it's a walk in or an appointment I've always been treated well. I don't feel judged by the staff here and feel like I'm getting the best medical help in Winnipeg.

I finally understand why a lot of people like to come back to Dr. Nawrocka despite of punctuality and long wait time issues. Just like Dr. Banach said last year, Dr. Nawrocka put a lot of time and effort for her patients. It was already past 9 last night when she called for my phone appointment and despite of phone appointment, Dr. Nawrocka was still very thorough with her assessment. She even offered me a ride home when I could not have my follow-up with her on Sunday due to my tight work schedule. Dr. Nawrocka always go for the extra mile for her patients! :)

Place was great at first, but they don't know how to deal with mental health patients. Literally crying and begging for a therapist, stating that my depression has gotten much worse, and the doctor was stone-cold, 0 empathy. Told me she couldn't send me to a therapist (???) And instead would refer me for a psych evaluation that is weeks or possibly months away. Told me she can't diagnose me for other concerns (but... but she's a doctor??) And instead gave me medication that makes me incredibly nauseous, when she KNOWS I have emetophobia. Both her and another doctor have rushed me out, saying as they enter the room that they don't have time for me. One doctor told me "I know you have multiple mental health concerns but I only have time for 1 so just pick whatever problem matters most". The way the doctors treat me feels just awful, like an unwanted inconvenience. My doctor is constantly out of town, and she got mad at me for doing a walk in instead of an appoitment. I told her i tried to make an appointment and her soonest daye was a month away. Mental health problems cant wait a month, sometimes they can't even wait a week. The doctors just got get that, and they don't understand mental health or now to deal with mental health patients. Mt doctor is also not bright. She confused me for a different patient, and she told me I'd have to stop one of my medications because it wouldn't work with the new meds. I told her i need my old meds because i have insomnia and they help with that, and the new meds have insomnia as a side effect (i had to google them because she told me she didnt really know the side effects). Her response was "oh well maybe it can work with your meds. I don't know. Just ask the pharmacist." These people are supposed to help, not make you feel worse. Also the receptionists are hit and miss. I did have one once that was extremely sweet and kind, but most of the others are very cold and short with the patients. It is so difficult to find a patient doctor who deals with mental health patients..

This is a wonderful clinic. My family doctor, Dr. Etukakpan, is very kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. In addition, any doctor that you see on a walk in basis is great and will help you with any problems. I’m so glad to be accepted as a patient at this clinic.

Dr. Taiye Atkinson is a wonderful doctor. She is knowledgeable, patient, caring and takes her profession seriously which is to heal people. After being to two doctors and being dismissed for having sore throat and dealing with this for over two years on and off. I decided to visit this clinic and was attended by Dr Atkinson who really took my concerns seriously and did a proper check up and gave me the right medication to correct the issue I had been dealing for over 2 years. I would highly recommend her for her knowledge, for being sensitive and being caring.

Friendly and hard working staff, and the walk in doctor is knowledgeable and nice to deal with as well. I came in with a sciatic nerve injury and left with everything I needed. They also take your name down on a list and you can leave and come back during long wait times. They also offered to call me when one person was ahead of me, so I'd k ow exactly when to come back.

Worst Doctor I have ever met in my life. My daughter suffering from cough for exactly 1 month still Dr didnt feel the need to prescribe any medicine to her. I had to wait for 1.5 hr to see this dr and took 5 mins to examine child. The Dr just wanted her poor child and the whole family to suffer. The dr was very rude and stubborn. My daughter cannot sleep at nights due to this cough and its not covid 19 either. The way I was treated at this clinic was horrible. Now I know why this clinic has less then 3.0 review. I feel like giving minus. Plz dont go this clinic and waste your time and energy. Never going back again.

Giving two stars because they saw my son quickly, although they were also closing before 7 when it stated they were open until 8 so not sure about that. My son was having ear pain, fever, fatigue. They checked ears and said it was fine. Literally the next day he was not hearing well and diagnosed with a massive double ear infection elsewhere 1.5 days later…….. wouldn’t recommend obviously!!!!

I am so incredibly frustrated, I have been trying to make an appointment over the phone for over THREE weeks!!!! I think when the receptionists come in they just put the phone on machine & then it instantly is “busy” signal!! IF you get threw then when they “connect” you it HANGS UP!! I can’t do this anymore!! Dr.Lucy is very nice & you don’t feel rushed but it’s impossible to make an appointment!! Email also says booking unavailable! I’m out, can’t do this anymore.

Absolutely terrible. Went there as a walk in patient on Saturday. Waited 45 minutes to see a doctor. I know what is wrong and what I need, I requested a prescription for a non opioid in medication to help With the pain but said she wouldn't do that but recommended me go to a clinic which is in Edmonton Alberta!!! I worked very hard for the medical insurance I have and she tells me she won't help me but instead tries to write a prescription I am allergic to. When the medication I requested is a non opiod and non WM (Withdrawal Management i.e. in other words non supervised because it's a non opioid) medication?!?!? Where do they find these doctors?? Avoid at all costs. I hould've just went to the emergency, at least you'll get help in the E.R. after the wait!

Absolutely terrible doctor working out of this location. Didn’t even look at my injury, was rude and condensing , and when I was explaining some of the symptoms ive been having, she stopped me and told me not to tell her how to do her job in an extremely rude and condescending tone. Avoid this clinic at all costs , incredibly rude doctors. Dr Lucy Etukakpan is a disgrace to the title of doctor. Claimed to have 25 years experience but she acted liked a 15 year old having a tantrum. If you want to be looked down on, mistreated, and outright insulted to your face, go see Dr.Etukakpan , otherwise I’d recommend literally anywhere else

Staff was friendly, and so was Dr. Akinson. However, I was a paramedic for 17 years and can tell you her physical assessment was lazy and incomplete. She prescribed me antibiotics that I almost certainly don't need, and refused to give me a note for work because I didn't come in "on the day " I asked for. So if I was sick for a week I guess I'd have to see her everyday to get a note for work, such garbage. I can see why this clinic wasn't busy.

I went there because i’m in my first trimester and my nausea is horrible. The doctor was great however i got into some issues with my manitoba card which my fiancée and the receptionist came to an agreement. I returned to the clinic the next day to let them know that my manitoba card was reactivated and they are able to charge it to my card which they refused to do as they said it wasn’t activated so i then called manitoba health and they even said themselves that my card was activated however the one receptionist who had horrible attitude to begin with refused to charge it on my manitoba card and said we have to pay for the appointment in cash( they charge cheaper if you pay cash so no tax is involved) after giving the phone to the receptionist so she can speak to the guy she still refused and refused to refund me the deposit my fiancée paid of $27 to hold my doctors letters( which are needed for my job)and to make sure we were coming back because she said “the account will refund it for you but i don’t know when it will be because we are refunding people from November”. Honestly would not recommend this place unless you are horribly desperate.

This is an extraordinary clinic . So sorry I forgot reception name . However it started right there. I came in rather late fri with a gash on my leg . Instead of sending me away. I was accepted to wait for the Dr . Dr Nawrocha took amazing care of me . I truly was overwhelmed by the kindness. Dr Nawrocha stayed late stitched up my leg . They were both so friendly and generous with their time , I was not an inconvenience. My humble gratitude. Karin
