This little spot deserves all the attention Winona can give it! Gavin and Kristie source everything locally, even making their own pasta. It's incredible! A thoughtful menu allows anyone to find their favorite dish.... including gluten free and vegan options.... and meat lovers, too! We loved every bite and can't wait to go back. And we have been back! If you haven't tried it yet, you are seriously missing out!

We were searching for a place to eat after taking a river cruise and we were happy to find this place open before 4:00, as many local restaurants are not. The first thing we noticed when we walked in was the amazing aroma. We ordered at the counter from the giant chalkboard menu on the wall. We split the elote fries and the sliders from the appetizer menu and enjoyed the self-serve fresh lemon water. There was a lot of loud banging noise happening during our visit (were they smashing the burgers??). The food was beyond delicious and we couldn't stop saying so. My only complaint is that we live 2 long hours away from this place! The women's restroom needed a little attention, but it was spacious and nicely decorated. We would not visit the area again without making sure to stop here for lunch!

We attended a funeral in St. Charles and decided to stop for lunch in Winona on the way home. We chose Heirloom Seasonal Bistro as it got good reviews and seemed like something unique… right up our alley! It was such a cute place inside and I loved that there was ample space to stand and look at the menu board. All of the choices seemed yummy, but I settled on the Greek salmon burger with elote fries and my husband chose the shrimp tacos with elote fries. I thought the little table numbers in the fake plants were just adorable. All of the food left our tastebuds doing a dance. The texture of the fries were like nothing I’ve ever had before. And you can’t go wrong with elote toppings. I enjoyed my salmon burger but it played tricks on me because I kept waiting for the zing of tartar sauce but instead I got the coolness of tzatziki. Don’t get me wrong, it was tasty, but my brain couldn’t wrap my head around what I was eating. My husband enjoyed the char on the shrimp in his tacos but the chili oil left his hands quite messy! Overall, this was a fun find. The pasta on the menu caught my eye, as well, and I would definitely try it the next time we are in town.

An amazing local restaurant in Winona! I loved my salmon burger with the fries. The wings were fresh, hot, and delicious. Friendly crew and quick service.

Amazing food, especially considering our gluten free needs. All three of us found amazing GF options, and the food tasted amazing. I also love the overall atmosphere here. We will be back regularly.

Such good food. Shared a delicious burger with sweet pickles and a plate of kimchi fries with my husband. Every we ate was so good. Two days later and I'm still dreaming about it.

If you haven’t given Heirloom Seasonal Bistro in Winona a try, let this be your sign. My partner and I tried the Smash Sliders which had a *heavenly* bacon jam with a garlic aioli topping that left us wanting more, along with the new menu item - the homemade basil pesto bucatini pasta with fried eggplant, and all that I can say is yum. Needless to say, our plates were wiped clean. Very friendly staff and such an inviting atmosphere, & you can’t forget the locally grown ingredients which just tops it all off. We will no doubt be back to try more. 😊

Heirloom Bistro is a lovely little Cafe in downtown Winona that specializes in locally sourced higher end Cafe fare. Items such as salmon burgers, artisan sliders, elote fries, and international inspired soups are common on the menu. We had the elote fries which were possibly double fried making them too crunchy and soaked in oil, but well flavored. The lemon chicken soup was super flavorful and the garlic toast was perfectly crusty. They have delicious lattes and friendly staff. The food does take quite a while to come out when they are busy on Saturday lunch hour. There are about 5 tables so taking the food to go is more convenient.

The food we had the pleasure of eating at Heirloom was tasty and super fresh. I got the Truffle Mac and my fiancé got the potato gnocchi. We can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu! It’s on the pricier side, but totally worth it. The list on the wall of where everything was sourced from was a nice touch. So glad we have this addition to Winona.

My husband had the salmon burger, he said it was really tasty. I had the smoked Chicken Salad sandwich. I would say it was ok but a bit dry inside for my liking, I would put a lot more mayo and seasoning in it to add a lot more taste to it. We also got 2 styles of fries, one was plain with ketchup and the other one had some type of cream sauce and I believe it had feta cheese to top it off. All in all we would probably eat here again.

Enjoyed my experience. The beet salad was good. GF, dairy free & soy free are tough to accommodate. The staff were very friendly. Liked the lighting, seating, and vibe.

Fabulously tasty garden to table fare. Yellow Thai Curry was flavorful and delicious. My husband, who dislikes garbanzo beans, gave it the highest praise by saying this curry makes them edible. 🤣. He had the chili which was phenomenal. I can see why it has won awards! My husband asked for some hot sauce (he’s a bit extra!) and they brought him their house-made hot sauce to use. It was so delicious he asked if he could buy a bottle. Don’t miss out on this great place. Staff are friendly and the food is a treat.

First time dining here tonight and the food was excellent! And reasonably priced...we had the elote fries, smash burgers and gnocchi: all 3 tasted great, quality ingredients, and expertly cooked....friendly counter-service joint with great local beer and wine choices....the lighting could be better but I have a feeling the management has a vision for expansion and what this bistro could really be: the BEST farm-to-table food with an easygoing atmosphere that will attract a lot of people out on date night or friends just getting together for an unpretentious bite....a true rival to Nosh!

First of all, the food was top notch!! Everything was seasonal and had nice variety. I had the Smashed Sliders and the Elote Fries and they were delicious and well portioned. The choice of local beverages was great and the staff was friendly and kind. The atmosphere is charming and casual but the intensely bright lighting is a bit much. I'll be coming back and bringing friends!

Heirloom's food is excellent. I had a burger with apple and brie and split a large order of elote fries with my wife. The second time i went, I got a bowl of squash soup that was also supreme. I thought it was way cool they advertised their suppliers on the wall right next to the menu, and I thought they really rocked the fast casual concept. Will definitely be returning the next time I'm in town.
