Love this local bakery and coffee shop! They aren’t on Yelp which sucks as a Yelp elite person but I love the interior of the place. They have lots of different baked goods from cupcakes to quiches. The coffee was standard but they do have a lot of flavors such as peppermint mocha and gingerbread as their seasonal flavors. I also love it because the interior has lots of indoor seating with outlets and Wi-Fi. A gorgeous and thoughtful coffee shop with kind employees 😊☕️

Can’t say enough to fully convey how amazing Boxcar is. The pastries are world class, the coffee is fantastic and the people are welcoming and wonderful. If you haven’t gone, go!

Great bakery with a variety of baked goods and a very large drink/coffee menu. We got coffee cake, a GF cookie, and a yogurt parfait along with some coffee and hot chai latte with oatmilk. It was nice to see so many GF options! The quality of the baked goods and drinks was incredible. The layout of the seating area was nice and the aesthic was warm and inviting. I appreciated the fast service and the kind staff!

If you’re reading this: congratulations, you just found your new favorite pastry shop. Gorgeous pastries that somehow manage to taste even better than they look. You have to keep coming back for the regularly changing variety of treats and you can’t go wrong- everything is delicious! But if you are having trouble deciding, the croissants are so wonderfully flaky and masterfully made! The space is so beautiful, clean, and inviting with indoor and outdoor seating as well as an outdoor window to order out of if you are unable to go inside because you have a furry friend with you. Looking back into the kitchen you can tell everything is immaculate, the hallmarks of a team passionate about their work and meticulous in all they do. And that carries over to the service which is always pleasant and quick! So excited to have such an incredible new place around five corners and even more excited to see them continue to thrive!

This is a great spot for a coffee and a treat. The chocolate croissant was delicious, the ham and cheese croissant, and the peach scone were all delicious. The wait for drinks was short and the staff were all friendly. Come for the Mocha, stay for the cozy ambience.

This is a very fabulous bakery. My grandfather and I like to visit once a week. The pastries are exquisite and well made and the coffee is delicious. The employees are very kind and always remember us! the bakery and seating area itself is very cozy. What a wonderful addition to Essex Junction!

Best matcha in VT! The barista at Boxcar absolutely slays. Their pastries are also delicious and the space is beautiful.

Beautiful modern uncluttered space. Very bright large windows. Cheerful friendly staff. Delicious croissants and cappuccino. Nice looking baked goods. We loved it.
