One word.. whoa! Delivery was extremely fast, the food was perfect upon arrival, and was delicious for everyone. Will definitely be going here more often.

This is a very cool location in downtown Statesville. The location was perfect and of course the food was excellent. We parked just down the road from the restaurant and walked to the restaurant. Groucho's Deli is definitely the place to go for a great sandwich. I am a Ruban fan, and their Ruben was probably one of the tastiest Ruben sandwiches I have eaten. They have their own sause that they make in-house that is just amazing. One of them is like a thousand island dressing but much better, and my husband had their blue cheese sause, which was amazing. When you enter the restaurant you can choose to sit yourself. Menu's are at the table. They do have servers here, which is nice. They do charge for water $0.25. Which isn't bad. The waitress was great, and the food came out quickly. Everyone absolutely enjoyed their sandwiches. The atmosphere is very laid back and comfortable. There are lots of old pictures and memorabilia on the walls to look at. We love going to places like this with so much history. It's definitely worth a stop. You do have to take your bill up to the register when you are done with your meal. Just in case you didn't hear the waitress tell you that when they drop it off. 😆 As I was waiting for the waitress to come back and my husband had told me. If you are in Statesville in the downtown area, I would definitely put this place on your places to go eat. And afterward you can take a nice walk around the downtown area. It's beautiful with so much history.

I love this place. Even when they are busy, we never have to wait long to place our order or to get our food. The food is very, very consistent. Everything I have ever had there has been delicious. I used their catering service recently and it was exceptional. They paid attention to every last detail. Just an awesome job!

I grew up in the Statesville area and have always loved Groucho’s. The last two times the service has been horrible. I have had the same waitress and she has been horrible. I did not get her name. Today, we got in and ordered decently quick. After that it all went down hill. We waited for 40 minutes for food. Several tables that came in 20 minutes after us had already gotten their food. I am not one to say something, but our waitress kept sitting down with what appeared to be her boyfriend and this was during a lunch crowd. I eventually said something and she said the food would be out soon. She then appeared to be putting ticket orders in and had forgotten to put ours in. I get being busy during lunch, but also you had enough time to keep sitting with what appeared to be a boyfriend. Our food finally came and was thrown on the table and had some wrong items. We finally got everything squared away, and then the waitress knock my tea over and it spilt everywhere. The tea got on my phone, shoes, my three year old, and our food. Accidents happen and not a big deal. But the spill was not properly cleaned up and left with a puddle in the floor. Also my potato salad was soaked and our chips were. At this point I was just annoyed to say anything else. Our waitress went back and sat down with the same gentlemen she kept sitting with. Our drinks that were all water but one and the wet potato salad was comped. All and all it was a terrible experience and it’s happened twice with terrible service. I am very easy going and not one to say things, but this needed to be said. My fiancé and I own a business and I know I would want to be made aware if our business had issues. I still love Groucho’s and hope the experience will get better, I want people to enjoy local businesses. Thanks for all the help.

I haven’t been to Groucho’s in years. Couldn’t decide what I wanted for lunch ended up there and it has not changed. It was still just as good as the last time I ate there!

We have always loved Groucho's, but even more so recently since our family has tried finding Gluten-free options in town. We have a very picky eater and he loves the GF roll here! They always get our order fulfilled quickly and accurately. It's a small area for dining in, but the staff are always friendly and fast.

Quick lunch option in downtown, it is fast and yummy. Sandwiches are small for me though maybe because I am used to Firehouse subs/ Publix size.

Folks.. this place is good. I had the Mid East Special. The sandwich was delicious all by itself. Dip it in the Italian dressing… wow.. that’s all I can say. Whoever came up with the combo is a genius when it comes to food pairing! The staff was super nice, too.

Great deli! There are so many options to choose from! I try to get something new each time, and I am never disappointed! Everything is always fresh and delicious!!

I did my very first pick up order for uber eats, and I had never been here before. The staff was so nice and helpful to me, I just want to say thank you! I will be coming in to eat after the experience I had, and how amazing the food looked and smelled when I was there! Thanks guys for being really cool and awesome!

Stopping in for lunch today. My pastrami sandwich was served hot and delicious. My waitress was awesome she took my order quickly and my food was served moments later. Will definitely return and recommend to others.

Service is always helpful, friendly, and quick. Good food in a great location and perfect when you don't have lots of time for a lunch date but want somewhere nice to go. I love ordering on the app, and it's always ready when I arrive to pick-up.

Not only great food and great service, but SO freakin fast! I've noticed I'm short on time often and need a quick lunch option; When I go through my list of options I end up choosing Groucho's most often because I know they will serve me faster than anyone else (and happen to have great hot subs). Hats off to the staff for working so hard for your customers!

Great local deli… easy to order take out and ready in short time… fresh ingredients.. pasta salad, sandwiches and pitas are fabulous…… great local atmosphere… nice staff!

From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and the employees are friendly. Our waitress, Beth is friendly, helpful and a good waitress. My drink was never empty. The food was wonderful!! So fresh!! The best turkey and ham sandwich I’ve had. I always look forward to coming here when I come to Statesville!

I had an appointment in Statesville and wanted to find a healthy place to grab a quick take out lunch. What a find! I had the chicken power salad. Organic, delicious and great value. Staff was friendly and very efficient. I have more appointments coming up in this lovely city and look forward to making Groucho's my go to lunch destination.

I got the My Wife’s Salad Bowl….. one the best chef salads I’ve had in a long time and the 95 and the 45 is amazing and house made!!

I grab lunch here periodically. Always smiling faces and friendly conversations. The salads are fresh and loaded with your favorite veggies and/or meats.

Food is great, but I ordered through UberEats and the one particular driver has delivered to me before but she's always getting here so late with my food that I end up having to warm it up in the microwave :( I wish there was a way to choose a different driver...and I paid extra for it to be expressed delivered withing 30 minutes and I waited over and hour this time...I am gonna have to just use a different app to order delivery next time...she won't even bring it to my door either makes me come out and meet her. Which wouldn't be an issue but I order take out delivery on days that I am sick and I don't feel like walking to her car. This was my first Grouchos experience too but I will try it again don't worry!

I ordered three apollo dippers and a hotdog, when they showed up the heros were on white bread. When I called, I was told to talk to Doordash and that they "could do nothing about it." I have ordered from there many times and was always impressed with the taste and quality of the food. Now what was once a solid place to eat is circling the bowl. Hope they get it back together soon.

Comfortable, with friendly, welcoming staff and consistently good food. While it's not linen napkins and fine wines, it is still a couple notches above your average dive deli. Quite a few pubs could learn something from this grub.

I always love eating here. My grandparents and I come often for lunch dates, and the service is always quick and very friendly. The food is really good, and this is one of the few places that know how to get an order right the first time! 😀 But really. I would give Groucho's 6 stars if I could!
