I heard about this place from several friends who said this Moroccan- Baja restaurant was amazing and I couldn't wait to check it out for myself. I went with a few friends for an early dinner on Saturday so the place wasn't too busy - it did pick up once we were leaving! You order at the counter, find your seat, then wait for your food to arrive. They brought out our food really fast! Helpful Tip: If ordering delivery, keep in mind that their menu offers specials that aren't available online so you may want to go in-person instead of ordering delivery. I ordered one of their specials (not available for delivery), the Merguez (Housemade Spicy Lamb Sausage) Sandwich with Medina fries. The sandwich came on a soft baguette with lettuce, some kind of yummy sauce, tomatoes and sprinkled with feta. The homeade sausage and all of the toppings had so many delicious flavors that melded together beautifully! The shoestring Medina fries came with it and they were topped with truffle oil, garlic, sea salt, Parmesan cheese and parsley. They were amazing and my friends kept stealing them off my plate. Both of my friends ordered the Moroccan Spiced Chicken Asado Bowl, it was filled with couscous and topped with their specialty Moroccan spiced chicken, black beans, roasted corn, tomato/cucumber pico, lettuce, pickled onions, queso fresco cheese, tzatziki crema and toasted pepitas (pumpkin seeds). Once you mixed all of the ingredients together, it was a heavenly mix of fresh flavors. I highly recommend this place for their fresh ingredients and friendly staff. It's located in N Park on El Cajon and plenty of other places to go for a drink after, although they do have a few alcoholic options here.

The best Mediterranean food in SoCal! Now I can finally get some Mediterranean cuisine without flying to East coast or across the Atlantic. - Tacos (fish, lamb) - Bowls (chicken, lamb) - shakshouka (lamb) - Medina fries All 5/5! Highly recommend!

It was my first time eating at this venue and the food was great. Super tasty, quick, and healthy. They seemed to have good happy hour specials and good options for adult spirits. It was a cute little venue with both outdoor and indoor seating. The customer service was friendly and their lamb bowl hit the spot. I would certainly go back to grab a bite again.

Have been dying to come here and it was everything I dreamt of and more! Came during happy hour (3-6pm) and got 2 tacos (chicken & fish) & a beer. Both tacos were fantastic, fresh, and full of flavor. The tortillas were perfect and tasted like they were made just minutes before. Super helpful and friendly staff plus great int/ext aesthetic. I’m coming back to try all the tacos in the near future for sure!

This North African/Baja inspired restaurant has delicious, fresh tacos, bowls, and sandwiches. Located on El Cajon Blvd in North Park/University Heights area, it provides great value and quantity of food. I had the Moroccan Chicken Bowl. Others in our group had the Veggie Bowl, bowl of black beans, and the Cali Merguez sandwich with aioli fries. I also had the Moroccan Mint Iced Tea that has mint and honey. Everything was delicious and very filling. They have seating and offer to go orders. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table

Very welcoming restaurant with friendly staff. We loved both their chicken bowl and Shakshouka (with lamb sausage). They are loaded with the perfect amount of flavors, and the bowl came with a very generous portion. The Merguez taco (with pita) is a mini-version of the bowl, which could be a better option for people with smaller appetites. We found their fish tacos a bit dry, but still a good bite.

This place is a 10 out of 10! The owner put so much love and work into every detail! Do not overlook this place, the ingredients are so fresh my body felt so good after eating here. No wonder they say Mediterranean is one of the most healthiest dishes

4.6/5 This place was amazing. Large portions, lots of flavor, and plenty of options. Usually can be skeptical of fusion dishes but they did not disappoint at all. The Medina fries had tons of flavor were fresh and crispy. The Couscous (a limited special I believe) was amazing. It came with a consumé type sauce that added a nice kick to the dish. The veggies were perfectly stewed and the couscous was a great vessel for the veggies. The server was great at giving suggestions so if you’re not sure what to order just ask! All the dishes we ordered were pretty large and we had leftovers even with a party of 4. This place has nice patio seating with great vibes all around. Will be coming back to try other dishes!

I could give this place even 5 stars, here is a little cute place, everything is really nice and cute the islamic and morocan design the beautiful blue color and the way they present their food. We ordered chicken taco and Marqués shakshuka and baklava for desert. Taco was good not like mexican taco it had some yoghurt sauce on top like Mediterranean taste and the shakshuka was good as well. I recommend this place everything was good 😊

This place nails every aspect. The food was incredible, service was great and they nailed the ambiance. Karina up front and Ryan in the kitchen we’re great. Ryan made some good recommendations and we ended up trying quite a bit on the menu. The Fish tacos really shined. If you’re in the area definitely check this place out, it’s a 10/10 in my book.

For a fast casual restaurant Medina is excellent. Very flavorful and fresh. I had the trio of tacos (lamb, fish and chicken) and all 3 were great. The lamb taco was especially excellent. The Michelin guide got this one right. Give it a try. I will return!

Here's something new for my taste buds... Delicious and beautiful Moroccan and Mexican flavor fusion! We were craving something Mediterranean and tacos at the same time and this popped up on Google! No reservation needed and gluten free options were appreciated 👍

Authentic Moroccan kitchen, loved the flavors. Portions are quietly small compared to the prices, especially for a good eater. The staff are friendly and the food came very fast and fresh.

This is not authentic Moroccan food. The owner is Tunisian, who passed down his version of Moroccan recipes, none of the staff or cooks is Moroccan nor have knowledge of authentic Moroccan taste. This information was obtained from the staff directly as the taste was not pleasant at all and we questioned who’s cooking. The dishes and location have great aesthetics, staff is pleasant, menu and price is adequate for the food they’re serving. We ordered a cup of Moroccan tea and was brought iced tea 🤣 We then ordered the pot of Moroccan tea; no gunpowder, no mint leaves inside only decorative on the cup, with a light flavor of bagged tea. Shakshuka with Merguez: each egg is charged individually, pita bread (this is not how you serve the authentic dish) is separate, and Merguez was dry with an odd taste. Merguez Sandwich: again the Merguez taste was not good, dry, not fresh. The bread is not authentic nor is this the type of bread used in a Moroccan sandwich. This is more of a fused hot dog. The topping and sauce on the sandwich is good in taste. I only took two bites and couldn’t force myself to finish it. Moroccan fries: very good in taste, accompanied well with the orange fries sauce that’s not Moroccan. This is definitely not a Moroccan eatery. I would call it a fusion eatery. I mean they serve tacos if that says anything about the culture (Google Moroccan tacos). Medina is to Moroccan food what El Torito is to Mexican food. It was truly disappointing; my Moroccan cooking and Moroccan spices are a lot closer to authentic Moroccan food than this place. Other customers appeared to enjoy their meal and made positive comments during our visits.

A fresh and delicious take on Baja Med cuisine. The merguez taco is their bread and butter and it doesn't disappoint, however the Al Pastor Cauliflower taco which they had on special was even better. The staff was friendly and the ambiance was clean and has great light. Perfect lunch spot with reasonable prices.

Cute place with an airy indoor/outdoor experience. I ordered the lamb bowl and fries. The fries were a little more cooked than I liked but the lamb bowl was delicious. I ate every single bite and would definitely order again.

Pleasantly surprised by my boyfriend’s random brunch pick. We both got bowls - lamb and vegetarian - and both agreed it was the best meal we’ve had in a while. Very healthy and flavorful, without being overwhelmingly so. I really liked my mimosa too. The mint leaf and lemon were nice touches/garnishes. Service was fast. Food was reasonably priced for these times.

Great little spot. Was looking for gluten free and dairy free options and they hooked it up. Ladies were very knowledgeable and I got the lamb bowl without couscous, and eith out the dairy. It was delicious, my friend (gluten eater) got the lamb taco and chicken taco and said the lamb was better but both really good . Will be back

Loved the merguez lamb taco. My friend enjoyed the chicken and fish taco. The baklava yogurt dessert was magical. Had topo chico and mexi coke for drinks. Great experience. Will come again and would recommend.
