All
that
glitters
is
not
gold!
This
place
is
the
epitome
of
half-hearted,
shallow,
external
appearance
with
absolutely
no
focus
on
what
is
on
the
inside.
Good
for
a
chic
appearance
on
the
runway
and
to
be
discarded
after
the
10
minute
show!
I
only
stayed
here
for
one
night
and
thank
goodness
I
didn't
spend
a
minute
longer.
The
rooms
are
adequately
sized
with
an
interesting
theme
(mine
was
London),
but
I
wasn't
aware
the
white
in
England
flag
colours
was
meant
to
be
mimicked
as
a
dirty
yellowish/brown.
The
England
flag
carpet
had
grey
stripes
that
were
possibly
once
white.
The
same
applied
to
the
bed
cover.
The
pedestals
were
warped
and
fraying
at
the
edges,
some
more
than
others.
There
were
watermarks
and
cracks
on
the
walls.
The
bed's
base
was
dusty
and
looked
like
an
infestation
of
creatures
could
erupt
at
any
moment.
To
top
it
all
off,
in
this
South
African
summer,
the
room
uses
a
totally
ineffective
ceiling
fan.
What
is
boutique
about
no
air
conditioning,
struggling
to
breathe
and
sweating
your.......?
The
TV
looked
modern
but
I
did
not
get
the
opportunity
to
watch
from
my
uncomfortable
bed.
From
afar
the
set
up
looks
nice
but
the
detail
and
finishes
were
spectacularly
poor.
Dinner
was
an
absolute
disaster.
The
3
wing
starter
was
burnt.
The
butternut
was
burnt.
The
spinach
(I
think
it
was
spinach)
tasted
acrid.
The
presentation
on
the
big,
shiny
plate
looked
enticing,
but
the
portion
was
small
and
tasteless
besides
the
charcoal/cigarette
butt
taste.
Hunger
after
a
hard
day
at
the
coal
face
drove
me
to
gulp
down
what
I
could,
but
I
had
to
go
and
find
other
food.
Breakfast
was
a
dog's
breakfast.
The
hash
browns
had
enough
oil
to
drown
in,
the
baked
beans
were
as
cold
as
London
in
winter,
the
eggs
were
good
for
a
game
of
squash
and
the
bacon
smiled
in
its
dark
grey
hue
and
looked
well
beyond
its
best
before
date
(possibly
a
reason
for
my
long
stop
at
the
Total
garage
on
my
way
back
to
Joburg).
There
wasn't
even
a
choice
with
the
type
of
toast
I
could
have.
The
fruit
salad
was
quite
fresh,
crunchy
and
bright
though.
The
climax
was
that
the
breakfast
and
dinner
are
served
in
rooms
that
are
devoid
of
any
natural
light
and
look
rather
dreary,
gloomy
and
uninspired.
The
"uncapped"
Wi-Fi
that
they
raved
about
was
intermittent.
My
phone's
MTN
4G
was
far
more
reliable.
The
indoor
pool,
surrounded
by
all
the
rooms
was
looking
crystal.
If
you're
agitated
and
excited
by
appearance,
this
is
the
place
for
you.
What
lies
underneath
is
an
eye
sore.
The
only
reason
I
awarded
2
stars
was
to
recognise
the
excellent
service
and
attention
from
the
lady
at
reception.
A
true
service
connoisseur
who
truly
seems
to
enjoy
solving
problems
for
customers.
1
star
belongs
to
her
alone!
Other
than
that
this
is
truly
a
place
to
just
lay
your
head
in
discomfort
and
misery
for
a
maximum
of
one
night.
