Not really impressed with the swimming pools this easter weekend thought we could relax in the warm pool but unfortunately pools aren't really clean, not keen on relaxing and seeing what is drifting agains me. Overall the campsites and bathrooms are really clean

Used to be lovely and quiet whereas now you have the noise of trucks going past the resort at all hours. Facilities clean and tidy. Just a pity about the bathrooms in the log cabins. Such a strange setup & showering is a nightmare and a mission. Why did they not install the shower over the bath or ditch the bath.

A definite gem! Stayed here for my 5 year wedding anniversary celebration and it was the stuff of dreams. The place has a variety of activities from tennis to swimming. The boat cruise is very affordable and the guide is exceptionally wonderful. Overall, the staff is absolutely fantastic and friendly. Will definitely be visiting back for many years to come

It was a rainy day today, but we anyway went for a swim in the warm water pool while it was drizzling. It was real fun and we enjoyed the clean pool. We also had lunch at the Restaurant. The food was good sized meals at affordable prices. The resort is well kept and the ablutions were neat and clean. It is definitely worth visiting!

In advance, I would like to apologize to all the runners who couldn't sleep in the vicinity of ablution block G before their big races last Saturday. Disruptive, bully campers are everywhere - but you rely on security and management to keep you safe and rested. Security stopped by 10 times (yes you read that right), neighbouring campers tried their best and were harassed by said bully campers the next day. But I hate to inform you that Loskopdam resort security and management are not sorry. They actually couldn't care less. So in future, if you are planning to run a race the next day, don't expect to rest at this campsite. Also, if you are women and children camping alone - it is just not safe. You don't need to go through what we endured. Bully campers run rampant because management like this allows it. Oh and admin, no need to reply to this feedback - I've had all the replies I need via email, trying to obtain a refund for the worst camping night of my life. Have a nice day.

Great resort to visit! An ideal place to spend the day fishing on the dam while watching game on the shores or to just unwind next to the pool. The resort has 2 pool areas, one near the campgrounds and one near the restaurant, which has a hot and cold pool. Campgrounds and bathroom facilities are very clean and well maintained.

Excellent service at the Restaurant, food was good too. But NO DAY VISITORS? Only in a small town like Middelburg. If COVID has not taught you anything is that business is not guaranteed & when you can make sure you can capitalize. I think that is a very stupid policy because some people from around need to experience your facilities for a day so that they can come again and perhaps stay longer. Change that policy.

Lovely place on the banks of Loskop dam. Beautiful scenery and environment. Some places need some maintenance work. Very relaxing, nice convenience shop, beautiful pools, heated and normal temperature. Staff very friendly and efficient and helpful. Nice place to sit back and relax.

We have visited your Lospkop Forever Resort many times, and each time our experiences are better than the last time….The facilities are great, but your Staff are even better! A special mention has to be made of Jessica in Reception! Her up-beat and friendly manner as well as her β€œcan do” attitude makes her, in my book, a HUGE asset to your establishment! When I explained that my husband was physically handicapped at present, she went out of her way to assist us and make our stay comfortable. To say that she is a super-star is an understatement..she is truly a gem and one to be valued! A mention should also be made of your Maintenance man, Rogers (aka GorgeousπŸ˜‚) for his assistance with the supply of our fan! He is another of your gems…Helpful, friendly and a great sense of humor to boot!

Decent resort. Nothing close to warmbaths bela bela. You'd expect the same level as its a forever resorts. Toilets are very dirty, showers etc. No place to fish. Management allows people to reserve place at the dam even tough they not there. Overall not bad. But definitely nothing to shout about.

Surprisingly refreshing...will visit again...Dam is clean..location is awsome not far from Pretoria. Very good value for money. Kids loved the warm pool. Book your boat ride in advance.

Camping along the dam. Water is nice and clean. Scenery is breathtaking. Campsites are all covered by treea. They are also clean and secure. The resort offers a lot of activities. All in all, it's definitely worth it.

We spent a week camping at Loskop in December, it was absolutely incredible. Camp sites are well serviced with someone clearing the braai stands daily. Rubbish is removed and ladies are available to assist with dishes. Ablutions are spotless. The bar area is great and the pool area well maintained with lifeguards on duty. The convenience store has basically everything one could need from food/snacks to clothing, camping equipment and pool toys. Absolutely recommend and will definitely be back one day!

I stayed on one of there camping/caravan stands for around 5 days and it was great. Plenty of shade, as well as a braai, water point, power point and dustbin for each site. (P.S. I would recommend taking a caravan male plug at that is the only power adapter available) The ablutions are in the best condition I think I've ever seen a shared campsite ablution in. You could eat off the floor. There are more than enough showers and toilets, as well as a washing machine and tumble dry, which is a massive bonus. I will definitely be back again.

This is a good resort, don't get me wrong, but I was disappointed to see the lack of maintenance on the gardens and lawn. You simply cannot have a huge flowerbed filled with weeds, broken hosepipes and empty bottles right next to the entrance to your cafeteria and restaurant area, and surely there should be proper grass all over the resort instead of the uncut weedy stuff growing everywhere. These issues might not bother other people, but being a Forever resort, I expected more.

We camp for 8 days and the campsites were adequate regarding space, The ablution blocks were clean and neat. The campsite is recommended just make sure if you go with the intention to go fishing that you have an extra cazebo to mark your claim next to the water otherwise you will not have a place to fish except with a boat. All in all a lovely place for a few days rest.

Used to be a great place now it's full of drunkards making noise and playing loud music 24/7. Couldn't even sleep an hour throughout the whole trip. Also it's fun wondering when the drunkards will drive over you when you camp next to the road. Someone even drowned in the dam. Where is security? Nowhere to be seen. Why is it even allowed letting drunk people go in and out of the resort between 2am and 4am in the morning? For my sanity, I'd rather just avoid the place which is a shame since it used to be one of my favorite places.

I had a great experience from my first call. Tshepo Baloyi was very helpful. The rooms were great and our learners enjoyed it a lot. The only downside was the stench near the Lapa, next to the pool. It was unbearable. Management should do something about that

Beautiful resort. The camping sites has plenty of shade, the bathrooms are amazing and the kids enjoyed fishing. There are no water front stands, so fishing gear is quite a distance from your caravan, but the men caught a decent amount of fish over the weekend. Over all we are happy campers!

Nice place friendly receptionist and staff having beautiful natural views. Mountains around the dam and was also able to climb it πŸ™Œ. Yo oo problem is the boat cruise yo oo @4: 00 pm Saturday 28th January was a disaster. When we were getting in the boat we moved through water our feet were wet.The driver seemed tipsy, the boat broke along the way and we were asked if we had insurances jokingly but I was scared 😱 they were smoking of which I have asthma mask could not avoid the smoke shem I could not understand the language as the driver was explaining the history of Loskop dam πŸ’”. I think I paid for disaster πŸ’” But without that I really have a great weekend..

The rooms are clean and well kept. But there is an unpleasant smell i believe is caused by bathing steam since the windows are always closed because of monkeys. The food is okay, their breakfast mushrooms need to be changed i couldnt eat them. Their dessert is not nice. Good wifi coverage. Clean training rooms. Heated pools. Good outing.

Facilities are clean and neat. Very nice place to relax and unwind. Has hot water pool and 2 cold water pools, fishing also big on the resort. Daily activities for kids during December. No loud music allowed so that was a major bonus!

Poor communication of management, were in total darkness. No of management had the decency to inform us as guests that they experiencing electricity challenges. After having a heated conversation with the standby worker, who could only refer as to candles in the room the electricity miraculously returned after an hour or so. For service in the dinning room they get 0% present. It wasn't poor it was non - existent. Requested a glass with ice from the waitress she never returned with the requested item. What I hate about service from these places is that they treat government officials with disdain. They attend the other patrons with much respect and urgency. Am not staying free government paid a lot of money to sleep at your establishment. Forgetting am an individual and can come back with my family at a later stage.

Second time there and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and helpful, the facilities and ablution blocks are top notch and clean, and the campsites are well maintained. Would go back again in a heart beat

The resort used to be a tranquil place to enjoy nature with your family in a safe and friendly environment. We were camping again over the past few days (14 till 18 Sept 2022). On the Friday evening more guests started moving in. The music then started and the crowds became louder and louder with more alcohol being consumed. People drinking at the bottom pool with glass bottles round the pool. Drinking whisky in the heat of the day straight from the bottle. Thumping music continued right until we had left at 13:00. Continues people having 6 in the ablutions above us. (Close to Chalet no 58) The resort is going to loose its uniqueness and its clients if this continues!! This sad to see. Out of 99% of all the guests there, 1% ruined the entire weekend for all.

5-stars all the way. Spacious chalets, clean, towel changes every day, peaceful, beautiful scenery, activities for young and old, great trails, great for fishermen and birders too. Plenty for kids to do. An exceptional place with very friendly and helpful staff. A great place to spend either a short or a holiday.

We slept in the 8 sleeper self catering. Nice experience. The boat trip: Excellent. I wanted peace and quiet: I found it. The staff : Keep smiling you are doing a great job.

Beautiful setting and good camping facilities. The general friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff leaves a lot to be desired. I would suggest much stricter music regulation in all areas as this nearly ruined our weekend.

We camped there. Must say everything you need is on the premises and the camping side is clean neat and in comparison with other places the stand are quite big. The ablution blocks stays clean. Would definitely recommend this place. Fishing, swimming pools, 2 shops, restaurant with a filling station is on the premises. And it is very very quiet.

Amazing views of surrounding mountains, my favourite view bieng the mountain opposite the dam. Heated pool + cold water swimming pools, tennis courts, large space to do my chilled morning runs, a variaty of dorms and if you want you can pick a spot at a designated area and put up a tent...I love this place

If it was not for the absolutely beautiful scenery and boat trip with a friendly skipper this rating would be 1 star. The accommodation was not up to standard our bed had bat droppings all over it covered on the bed and pillows. We were kept up all night because we were woken up by bats in our room flying around us while we slept. Completely unpleasant and uncomfortable. I called reception who sent house keeping. The bed was merely dusted off and made up. The bedding was not changed. That poses so many health risks it’s scary. There were 2 series of load shedding per day for a total of over 5 hours where we sat in complete darkness. Surely being aware of this possibility provision should have been made by the resort to ensure an uninterrupted and pleasant stay. The property is generally run down and dated and is not being maintained as it should be.

What a pleasure to spend a long weekend in this beautiful resort with its well-kept facilities and friendly staff. We were also able to visit the dam wall - impressive!

This place has turned out to be a place designed for the rich. I grew up in Groblersdal which is +- 30km away from this place and I have been visiting ( fishing & Picnic) this place my whole childhood. We are no longer allowed to do day visits anymore at this place because there's Covid, even on Level 1. Neighboring communities can no longer benefit from this place and enjoy the environment. brnefita afford this place. Disgusting!!
