I have been wondering the reason the eastern side of Warsaw is much less mentioned in the travel guide, so I visited the museum this time. They have great audio introduction to Praga area as well as interviews with local resident. The history of the area started in medieval time and it kept its pre-WWII, original appearance in the neighborhood. There are tons of materials to read and special souvenir in the museum shop; the admission on Thursday is free. Sweet!

Interesting museum. You have some documents of the start of this part of Warsaw. Why the railways and the main market were so important. Don't lose the opportunity to see the exhibitions downstairs, the Jews halls that you reach from the exhibition and the garage with the 2 old cars.

Some parts of this museum are interesting and engaging, the others are rather dull - who can manage to read a whole almanac of several centuries long history in one go? However, this museum shows vividly what Praga was and what it is, and a visit here, followed by a walk via Brzeska street and Plac Koniesera, probably can give one a proper feeling of the contradictory nature of this part of Warsaw.

Not big but really interesting museum. Here you can know that name Praga has nothing common with the capital of Czech and see the history of the place from the small village till the district if Warsaw.

Praga is a historic gem in Warsaw, with many beautiful residential buildings that survived the systematic large scale destruction of 1944. The museum explains the history of the area in a very detailed but easy to follow manner, with plenty of historic photographs. If you are interested in Warsaw, it's a place you must visit. Then explore Praga with all its eccentricity, creative spirit and majestic, even if occasionally dilapidated, architecture.

I've been dreaming to visit this museum for a long time, and finally I did it. The museum is little bit different than I expected, but I am not dissapointed. It's the unique place which keeps old photos and documents, but at the same time it keeps the history in different ways. I was impressed by the room of oral history, where you can find many stories of the Praga people. They tell about their life, manners, traditions and heritage. Also I was impressed by the portraits of strangers from the atchive of the photographic studio which had been working in Praga for a long time. And the special place in my heart is given to the exhibition of wooden toys - some old ones are from 1930-s! Very touching, very special exposition.

Nice idea for museum of (local) place with testimonies of the inhabitants and with art installations of the today's life of the district. Historical part is reach but can be organized better in order to make it easier to follow the history

Tiny, nothing to see, no English captions, you are better off skipping it, especially it's situated out of town.

The museum is organised in a way that is not interesting, it is messy and with bad translation. It’s a shame, would be interesting to learn more about Praga Block in Warsaw

Fantastic place to visit. Very modern exhibitions and interesting interactive way to learn about culture and people of Warsaw Praga District!

This is a nice, modern museum and we were surprised that after the first room there was much more to explore on different floors. There were not a lot of original pieces in the museum and for an outsider, the amount of voice options was just too overfluous as I would prefer to hear the most interesting ones.

Hidden gem. Truly recommend visiting during a week. Exhibitions are tailored for the needs of both, less and more demanding visitors. Don't forget to ask for an audio guide. After visiting, Praga which has been considered as one of the most interesting districts in Europe, will not have any secrets to hide!
