By far best museum I have been, I just visited 3 floors and was going back to get out when tall guy from staff told me that they have 4 more floors where I could get from a door which I thought was just emergency exit and thanks to him I saw so many interesting things. Other stuff members were also quite welcoming.

Musrum of common agriculture and cultural objects. We went without high expectations and spent hours enjoying a stroll down memory lane looking at artisanal objects dating back but still recognizable while also fascinating the kids for who this was a walk through the pre iPad times learning a lot about ustensiles and appliances made out of wood, wicker, metal and ... all except virtual on a tablet or phone. After that we had a good entertaining moment walking through interpretation of the bible by artists, refreshing and certainly not dull with an ending in the costume halls where clothes from gone by eras are on display, including ancient jewelry. Do this on Thurday and access is for free... if you have small kids the children's museum is housed in the same building!

Worth a visit. Lots of interesting items. I only have one small problem, on the day we visited this museum there was very strong paint fumes inside. If you have asthma like me try to avoid this place and come back after painting is finish.

Very nice and helpful staff Various cultures Would definitely recommend Especially mid Africa No signs of specific ethnicity But still a great decoration Not so big but the normal ticket is 14 PLN so it’s decent If you come to Warsaw and is or are an ethnic enthusiast I would advise to check it out It’s located in a semi tourist area but so close to the center and old town I enjoyed it so much

The collection of painted Easter eggs is massive, as are the traditional Polish paper cutouts. I also liked the cafe, it had strong coffee.

The museum was very interesting, with many exhibits . I especially enjoyed the traditional Poland clothing. The extra information provided on screens were in long texts which did not make it very easy to read though.

Very impressive exhibitions like me such as visitors from outside Europe. Exhibitors support me to a deep understanding of Polish culture. I highly recommend visiting here. Old photos and old costumes, musical instruments exhibitions are also interesting for me. They are well organized. One thing I am a little bit disappointed with was the Asian culture display. Japanese culture was mixed with Chinese and Indian items. Overall displays are neatly organized.

Not much to see in the permanent exhibition and most exhibits look very (unprofessionally) homemade and often quite creepy. The staff wasn't particularly nice. The tickets were free, for no apparent reason.

I went to the Ethnographic Museum to see the works of Nikifor, the famous naive style painter. I took the opportunity to go around the four levels of the museum. I was nicely surprised by the exhibition depicted the Mexican Día de los Muertos.

Often overlooked, this is one of the best museums in Warsaw. A unique collection of wonderful items. The staff are helpful and enthusiastic and the collection encompasses many cultures. Can take a few hours to browse everything so you may want to come twice. Free on Thursdays and closed on Mondays.

Enjoyed the travel experience "To tu to tam". Interactive and intriguing for kids 5 years old and up. Interesting exhibitions on upper levels about Polish folklore and traditions. Fascinating exhibition about Asian and African artifacts and culture. Thursdays free entrance otherwise 7zl for kids and 14zl for an adult. Really recommend it if you are interested in Polish culture 👌

Nice modern museum, very clean with free storage lockers. Asian and African items arranged thematically rather than culturally. As this was the National museum of ethnography though, I really would have liked to see more about ethnic minorities in Poland like Lemky and Kaszebi.

Very rich collection of ethnographic items and artifacts including textiles, clothing, ornaments, weaponry, jewellery, pottery from all different regions of Poland. There is also a floor dedicated to the world cultural heritage that shows craftsmanship from Africa, Asia and America. It's really worth visiting.

I like this museum very much because it’s very informative and interactive. Some time to time they change the concepts of some parts but still very good. There are self lockers to drop your jackets in the downstairs. Bathrooms and elevators are available.

The museum is a bit old school, some dusty figurines and costumes here and there, but it tries to modernize and certainly is led by a very professional team. The children museum is excellent, and the Christmas fair brings you close to real traditional craft(wo)manship. There are also good workshops and events, not only for kids.

(Translated by Google) Today I visited the Museum with a 4-year-old, 2-year-old and heavily pregnant. From technical matters, I am pleased with the working elevator, a cafe where you can rest and buy books, and a toilet which you can enter with a pram. The staff was kind and very helpful. :) We visited the temporary and permanent exhibitions and both me and my children had a great time for a few hours. Of course, the 2-year-old did not nod with approval at each exhibit, but she always enjoyed some animal theme. ;) 4-year-old son was delighted mainly with old instruments, but also with the gallery "Order of things" or Asian collections, with "Samurai on horseback". I am very positively surprised by this place, we will be back! (Original) Odwiedziłam dziś Muzeum z 4-latkiem, 2-latką i będąc w zaawansowanej ciąży. Z technicznych spraw, cieszy mnie działająca winda, kawiarenka, gdzie można odsapnąć i kupić książki oraz toaleta do której można wejść z wózkiem.

I was struck by how badly organized this place was. While there are some interesting parts, a lot of the museum seems thrown together with no rhyme and reason, and worse, often no explanation what one is looking at.

(Translated by Google) In my opinion, the room for children on the ground floor is quite poor. Although a surely efficient guide to the two exhibits will make an attractive story. The rest of the exhibition, the second impression, there is a lot to see, the ladies from the museum staff are very helpful and nice. A religious room with Jesuits etc quite controversial for me.

(Translated by Google) The worst ethnographic museum I've ever been to. Very boring exhibitions, and the ladies guarding it is already a drama. At what exhibition for children can children touch nothing? Service very unpleasant. Not everything must be Copernicus but the 21st century obliges to something. I am an ethnographer and I know that you can do an interesting exhibition in this field. (Original) Najgorsze muzeum etnograficzne w jakim byłam.

(Translated by Google) If someone knows ethnography, he will know what and how. Few descriptions that are moderately interesting, unreadable information. A typical museum associated with boredom from childhood. Lack of modernity and interest in the subject. I went because I studied ethnology myself, but my heart aches that there are still such boring museums. Brak nowoczesności i zainteresowania tematem.
