20 zł to see a motley collection of religious artifacts and paintings. Nothing particularly spectacular unless you are going to see the Beksiński. That was a truly phenomenal exhibit and only cost an extra 5 zł on top of the initial entry fee. The museum was comfortable on a hot muggy day and they did have nice bathrooms. A highlight of the facility is the passage the King used to take from the palace to the Church but I we were looking in terms right area, it's all walled off with a little slide show talking about it.

Spell-mary, recommendations continued. This time, perhaps in a rather unusual place, but a great exhibition "COLOR AND DARKNESS. Marianna Oklejak - collages and scraps" at the Museum of the Archdiocese of Warsaw. A lesser-known face of the illustrator of many books that have accompanied us and our children for many years. However, full of magic and colors. And contrary to appearances, full of light. I encourage you to visit - Marianna Oklejak is the real Queen of dwarves 😉 No one else would conjure up such things and that's it! UPDATE: The featured exhibition has been extended until May 19. You can only buy a ticket for temporary exhibitions - a good option if you are not necessarily interested in quite specific permanent exhibitions, or if you have smaller children, you do not want to see Beksiński or you simply have little time 😉 And by the way, perhaps we will be enchanted by something else in the remaining "time trials", such as the scenes of the Annunciation? It is worth visiting Dziekania - also because such streets, branching off from the crowded main roads of the Old Town, have a unique charm. Just turn into it. And places like MAW can have real treasures waiting for us - like COLOR AND DARK by Marianna Oklejak ❤️‍🔥

I don't about the museum but the chopin concert that they held every day at 6.30 pm was very good. It lasted 50 minutes and the ticket price was defintevely reasonable. Good selection of Chopin pieces, suitable also for people who are not a fan of classical music.

I actually enjoyed it much more than I expected. Quite a lot of very old things to see there.

A nice micro museum with various exhibits, mainly furniture, figurines, huge clocks, some paintings. Many originals, including (probably) 3 paintings by Malczewski. The exhibition of Beksiński's paintings in one small room is very good, over 20 of his paintings. Additionally, an interesting exhibition of cut-out paintings. Small number of visitors. Peace and quiet. Nice service. I recommend.

Beksiński's exhibition is great - beautiful music, calm, gentle enlightenment. You can sit and admire the beauty of selected works, of which there are approximately 20-25. It's definitely worth it, great atmosphere, you can really feel what the author of the works was trying to convey to us. The downside is that you can't buy tickets for the exhibition itself, you have to buy tickets to visit the entire museum, which is not interesting for everyone. One reduced ticket, one regular ticket, i.e. PLN 60 for the whole thing, but apart from Beksiński we can see religious exhibitions and the Color and Glow exhibition (I think), which is a paste-up and looks like it was created by kindergarten children (maybe it is, I wasn't interested in the subject) .

You'll get a discount if you're a student, so you only have to pay for 10 zł (if I remember correctly). The museum was clean, the receptionist will tell you how you should explore the museum before you start. Here are a little sneak peek of what you'll see. There are a lot more to see, so come and see it urself ;)

The museum is rather off the beaten track for most of visitors. Though, located in the heart of the Old Town has something to offer. You may find there exhibits made by the most renowned Polish artists like Zdzisław Beksinski, Jacek Malczewski or Szymon Czechowicz among many.

The exhibitions are on two levels (-1 and 1). The museum has an elevator. Very interesting exhibits at the permanent exhibition, and they are also temporary. You can see paintings, sculptures, chasubles and monstrances. Cultural events are also organized. The ticket can be combined with a visit to the crypts in the Archcathedral, which can be entered to the left of the main entrance. There are a lot of books to buy at the checkout. The air conditioning works well. You should park your car close to the Vistula River.

The museum was absolutely lovely. I was there on a Sunday, it was not crowded and there was no line to enter, the tickets for the permanent exbition and Zdzisław Beksiński enxibition is 25zl. In my opinion the Beksiński paintings are the main highlight of the museum, with beautiful pieces to appreciate. 1 point is that unfortunately no audio guide is available. Overall great experience.

I had a memorable experience enmeshed in the thralls of the artwork of Zdzisław Beksiński. Admittedly, the rest of the museum was not of great interest, as it focused on religious paraphernalia that seemed aimed at brainwashing unwitting art viewers such as myself. But I would happily go there again, if only to see the captivating imagery that came forth from Beksiński's paintbrush.

I actually attended a Chopin concert here. It is a small venue, with a small grand piano, but I loved the acoustic effect. I can see the pianist. When the piano is in the hands of a good pianist, it will make good music. Really enjoyed the concert.

Came for Zdzisław Beksiński, stayed for the rest. What's that ominous dark ambient playing? Can you post the playlist? 🙏

Its a messy place which can not decide what it is: concert venue, overpriced yet humble art gallery (25 zł) or museum of furniture and artifacts. Beksiński, Piłsudski and old English clocks on the same floor is a bit too much of a chaos.

The only exposition that worth a visit is Beksinski, witch sadly is just a temporary one.

I was there for Chopin concert. It was great. Have in mind that the building 2 minutes from this also has the Chopin concerts but you can show them reservation email and they will guide you to the place where you need to be.

I went for the Beksiński exhibition, which is really worth it. I recommend! Otherwise, a small museum with a few quite nice exhibits.

I had a moving experience with the intimate Chopin concert. We were invited on a whim for a show and answered the call. In return we got to see Justyna, a brilliant musician who made me shed a tear while hearing Chopin's op. 66.

The highlights are the Baksinski paintings, but there were other interesting arts as well.

The museum displays works by Zdzisław Beksiński in a separate room. The works are fascinating! But the illumination of the paintings was not thought out and was done in haste. The music center could also be hidden - there would be more ambience from viewing paintings and music for them.
