This is a government managed museum, so there is no entry fee. It starts as a place for selfie with dinosaur. Peculiarity of a purple colour stone formation at lobby is outstanding. Different minerals were mentioned on the name labels including the chemical composition. Tip: use only those steps near to the entrance instead of steps at the far end of hall to see replicas of caves. Also use different steps while going up and coming down.

By far the worst geological museum I have visited. It's only fine for Polish kids. There's almost no translations to English or any other language, it's very little, the collection is limited to fossiles and drawings. A couple of skeletons only. Avoid if you are not Polish.

Great collection of Geological rocks and several great replicas of dinosaur era animals, but no dinosaurs. Very well organized museum, and best of all it is free on Sundays. We went on a Sunday :) Well worth a visit - spent about an hour there. If you go early on Sunday, the line outside is short; long later in the day. The place would have been perfect if the signs and details were also in English. Most were only in Polish, but a few (5-7) were in Polish and English.

A really nice geological museum with free entry. It might be boring for younger kids, but the mineral collection is great. There was an amber exposition with amazing amber samples.

It is a small museum with displays of dinaosaur , mammoth and bear models, bones, rocks, minerals, crystals and tree barks collected from different regions of Poland. Most of the exhibitions have captions in Polish which make is not good if the state wants this museum to be more attractive to the tourist community. Captions for dinosaur and other animal models are in english.

After a rocky start... we got here based on an English article that mentioned this as a dinosaur museum, we were truly disappointed to find a skeleton of a mammoth, a bear and a chicken on steroids ( sorry the name of the animal didn't stick) BUT then we discovered the world of fascinating minerals and materials. We had planned for a 1h Dino visit and spend over 3h with rocks, crystals and much more. Also learning more about the Polish soil and what treasures/resources were below it...

Crystals of unimaginable shapes in cuts, insects in amber are delightful. There are installations of a desert and a cave, and even an active volcano.

Compact, can see everything within 1-2 hours. Some exhibits simply boring for a layman, but still, nice stones and fossils. Disappointing lack of Prof. Dzik's achievements, very cono-don't, not cono-do. Great spot for a free date. But, as it's free, there are a lot of dumb mothers with even dumber kids. They should invest in AC. Beautiful building. Overcrowded on Sundays, people don't know how to behave in crowd, watching exhibitions with no certain order, just jump from one to another, blocking your view (because they have KIDS, let them see This Stone NOW)(yeah those kids don't even care, they run around or hide from parents "behind" glass cabinets).

Very interesting museum, of you are fond of history of Earth. Different eras and its geological features and creatures are shown. Recommended! Only minus for the summer is the absence of air conditioning.

A relaxing place to visit. The officers were polite and kind. Very informative and interesting, I wish they put more content in English.

Free museum where you can see many fossils, maps, rocks and minerals. I recommend it even though the text is on Polish. If you already know the basics of geology it will be a good experience. They also have a volcano which is smoking when you press the button. You can be there hour and a half. I loved this place.

Small but cosy place. No English translation but still nice place to visit. No entrance fee. Mostly expositions are about specific stones and rocks but there are few other rooms even about desert and other parts of our world. Must visit for rock lovers 😀

Super cool museum. Can spend just an hour and see most of the exhibit. Explains a great deal about the land and substrates of Poland. Keep in mind for foreigners, most literaturę is in Polish without any translations. You have been warned.

Beautiful aesthetic building, lots of interesting exhibits and a relaxed atmosphere when visiting. Unfortunately, not all information is duplicated in English (but this does not significantly worsen the impression). Entrance to the museum is free of charge

A good geological museum close to the city center. Guiding through the earth history through different geological maps, schemes, models (including dinosaurs) and real minerals. Sections describing the earth evolution are small but with a good representation of minerals, bones and additional infographic. Museum is for free.

Free, looks nice, but small and a lot of descriptions only in Polish that makes the exhibition is not so interesting.

Cool place, you can easily spend here from 20 min to 2 hours discovered things around. Kids will enjoy as well. Really recommended to visit, free entrance. (Not a lot of info in EN but google traslater working;) if it is raining day and you do not know what to do in Warsaw, here is your stop.

Nice cute museum, with interested pieces..They need more English on their signs It is 2022, and there is no excuse for not having a small description in English The main floor surface needs a renovation. Overall worth a visit.

  • 5/5 Dorota B. 2 years ago on Google
Admittedly I know very little about geology and decided to visit for the beauty of the building alone. But it's a pretty extensive collection and it's a fun (free!) way to spend time and learn a bit.

Very nice collection of rocks, crystals and fossils. Too bad that there was absolutely 0 text in English. It was all in Polish. Also, keep in mind that there is no climate control. So you should visit during a cool day. Still it is worth a visit to admire all the great stuff the Earth has to offer.

Really liked it. Interesting museum. In order not to stand in line for a long time, come by 10:00. We arrived at 10:30, entered the museum at 11:15

Very nice museum, thanks to a great staff and people working behind the scene, they still conserve a lot of history and precious material that survived to the WWII.

Great place. Somebody who like arheologia so come here. Here are 4.500 things. The most part of museum are stones. And a few dinosaurs.

👍👍 Small but a nice and informative museum. The exhibition about amber was very interesting for me. The only minus point is that labels of some exhibitions are only in Polish language which makes it difficult to foreign visitors. Generally, I recommend it.
