The famous "Villa Under the Crazy Star", built in 1931 as the official apartment of the Zoo Director. During the occupation, Dr. Jan Żabiński and his wife Antonina saved Jews - it is estimated that over several hundred people passed through the Żabiński family villa. The modernist building has been renovated and serves as a museum. However, even without visiting the villa itself, it is worth visiting the ZOO. There are many commemorative and information boards that allow you to learn about the history of this unique place.

I wanted to visit this place after seeing The Zookeepers Wife. Amazing what these people did. Unfortunately the villa was not open but it was still worth seeing. Admission to the zoo is not expensive so worth visiting

Although the stay in the villa and the guide were impressive, unfortunately I cannot rate it positively. There is no information on the villa's website about the fee for visiting the zoo to enter the villa, for which there is an additional fee. We were not interested in visiting the zoo as we had only recently visited it. We were interested in the villa itself. This is a fraud on visitors and a detriment to the villa, which itself is truly astonishing. Regards

To go to the villa you have to pay to enter the zoo
