Until September 3, 2023, you can see the exhibition "The Color of Life, Frida Kahlo" in the Cadet School. The exhibition opens with an installation in the courtyard imitating La Casa Azul, Frida's home. Behind the "walls" we can see beautiful flowers planted in colorful geometric figures and a small Aztec pyramid with plants in pots. After entering the building, it is worth learning about Frida's life, admiring three of her paintings and engaging in interactive fun. A very interesting initiative is the reconstruction of images using tylographic models for visually impaired people.

I love Frida and I have read a lot about her life, so I was happy about the well-advertised exhibition at the Oficyna. It starts well, someone had an idea to arrange the area in front of the entrance, it really has a Mexican atmosphere. You have to wait in line, but that's how it is at exhibitions of famous artists. So we go inside and there are only three paintings, including two with very similar themes. Although everything is accompanied by nice packaging, information about Frida's life and enlarged photos, you can still feel very dissatisfied. Exhibition is too loud a word. Maybe we'll see it again someday.

King Stanisław August commissioned Dominik Merlini to develop the design and build it. The investment was carried out in the years 1778-1780. From 1815, the Grand Annex housed the Cadet School founded by Grand Duke Konstanty

An interesting exhibition of works by Matti Preti, an Italian Baroque painter. Unfortunately, it ended on March 3.

Interesting exhibitions are organized here. Currently, you can see paintings by Mattia Preti from the 17th century with a background of Maltese history and culture. You have to hurry, because the exhibition will only last until March 3, 2024. For me, coming here was inspiring and informative, although I am not particularly interested in modern Malta.

3 paintings of Frida Kahlo for 30zl and an hour of waiting is a misunderstanding. Shame :(

Completely overpriced. 30zl entry to the Frida Kahlo exhibition and there were three pictures on display. Lots of texts about her life/art and also cool things to get active yourself. You wait in line, in the sun until you get in and a tiny exhibition. The free brochure shows exactly the same if not more than what you see there. Not recommended for the money.

Jakieś nieporozumienie! Bilety są sprzedawane na określoną godzinę a potem okazuje się że i tak trzeba czekać w kolejce 1,5 godziny i to w pełnym słońcu w temperaturze 30 stopni. Starsze osoby mdleją i ogólna atmosfera zdenerwowania. Wystawa mocno rozczarowuje.

[PL] Sam budynek jest prosty i schludny. Wnętrze raczej skromne i niewielkie. [ENG] The building itself is simple. The interior is rather modest and small. From time to time you can find there various types of exhibition. When it comes to "Onna" - pleasant, you can familiarize yourself with ukiyo-e, in this case with women in the lead role. If anyone is interested in Japan and its painting, it's worth to be seen, but generally in the first place I recommend visiting the Łazienki Palace, which is beautiful 😃

The Frida Kahlo exhibition is small but worth it. Organizationally it's ineffective, you have to wait a long time. It is better to buy a ticket online

In this small museum I visited a spectacular exhibition of Japanese drawings by women. The lighting left something to be desired here and there, but the curation of the exhibition easily made up for it. The rooms are very suitable for small exhibitions, but if there are too many objects they quickly appear overloaded. There is no cloakroom, but you are welcome to leave your bags at the checkout (at your own risk).

On August 7, I visited an exhibition dedicated to the outstanding Mexican artist, who became famous during her lifetime, Professor of Fine Arts, Revolutionary of her time, Communist, Strong Woman Frida Kahlo. This exhibition was timed to celebrate the 95th anniversary of trade friendship between Poland and Mexico. Three famous paintings were brought (1933,1952,1954) (most of Frida Kahlo’s paintings were sold or are in a private collection, only three were brought so the Mexican Museum of Frida Kahlo’s Work provided these paintings for the exhibition, as you understand, not many people are ready provide for the exhibition paintings from his private collection), as well as a color film (where Frida and her husband walk through the garden in the Blue House) from the famous photographer and friend of Frida, which has survived to this day in very good quality (the film is approximately 100 years old). The exhibition was available in English, Polish and for viewing by people with low vision (there were mock-ups of the paintings and inscriptions describing the painting in Braille). There were also three courses on art, on the style of cleaning, and on the influence of tragedy on the artist’s art at the Institute of Neuroscience. For children the opportunity to create a traditional Mexican headdress. The exhibition was free for youth under 21, for others 30 zlotys. Organized, bright, and lively exhibition, interactive, interesting. I was delighted! Everything is wonderfully organized, at a high level and at an affordable price. Of course, I didn’t list a lot (due to the fact that I don’t want to repeat after the rest of those commenting), but I really hope that everyone who attended was just as pleased ❤️ I’ll look forward to the opportunity to attend such an event again ❤️

Currently, in the Cadet School there is a wonderful exhibition of the baroque painter Mattio Preti - who worked in Malta. Every Sunday from 12.00 to 13.00 there is a guide. In addition to paintings, artifacts from Malta - the armor of the Knight of Malta, a wonderful majolica pharmacy jar, coins, medals.

People with tickets bought online have a separate queue, which is quite a unique move. Currently, there is an exhibition of Frida Kahlo in the cadet school - short, but concise and interesting. However, in my opinion, there were too few paintings there (only 3). The garden in front of the entrance is beautiful - styled like the one in Frida's La Casa Azul. Waiting time on Sundays for entry is approximately 30 minutes. For visually impaired people, "image models" are prepared - a significant advantage. The second part of the exhibition was interactive.

went for the Frida Kahlo exposition. Not enough paintings (just 3 paintings), and no souvenirs to buy about the exposition. Also 2 hours in line just for a 20min tour inside. The online page didn't work so I couldn't buy tickets 1 week earlier.

Signs say last tickets sold 45min before closing. Ticket attendants would not sell them 55 mins before closing even though the 3 palaces are right next to each other. Apparently poland gets enough EU $, they don’t need visitors

Nie wiem czy trafiłem na wymianę wystaw czy tak jest zawsze - 3 małe salki do oglądania. Mało informacji gdyby nie to, że w listopadzie wejście było darmowe to pewnie nie warto by było płacić za wejściówkę.
