Very interesting museum! Attention: free entrance on Wednesdays ;) Definitely worth your time, amazing rooms beautifully decorated. What’s curious: after 1777 the palace passed into the possession of Poland's last king, Stanisław August Poniatowski, who hired the architect Domenico Merlini to redesign the rooms and to join the Royal Castle's library wing to it. The King then presented the redecorated palace to his nephew, Prince Józef Poniatowski. The Prince was a successful commander in the 1794 Kościuszko Uprising, and later one of Napoleon Bonaparte's marshals. Under the Prince's ownership, the Palace became a center of Warsaw's high-class social scene. That’s why you can see many things there about Napoleon and many images of Napoleon and Józef Poniatowski together.

The Tin-Roofed Palace in Warsaw is an architectural masterpiece that will leave you speechless. This stunning castle is a true testament to the beauty and grandeur of the city's rich history. From the moment you set foot on the grounds of The Tin-Roofed Palace, you will be transported back in time to a world of kings and queens, knights and nobles. The castle's exterior is a breathtaking sight, with its intricate details and elegant design. But it is the interior that truly takes your breath away, with its lavish furnishings, ornate ceilings, and stunning artwork. As you explore the many rooms of the castle, you will be struck by the attention to detail and the meticulous craftsmanship that went into its construction. From the grand ballroom to the intimate study, each room tells its own unique story, transporting you back to a bygone era of opulence and luxury. But The Tin-Roofed Palace is not just a historical artifact; it is a living, breathing piece of Warsaw's cultural heritage. Today, the castle hosts a variety of cultural events, including concerts, exhibitions, and theatrical performances, making it a vibrant hub of activity for locals and visitors alike. So whether you are a history buff, an art lover, or simply someone who appreciates the finer things in life, The Tin-Roofed Palace is an absolute must-see. Don't miss your chance to experience the magic of this magnificent castle for yourself.

The palace used as the apartment of Prince Josef Poniatowski, now houses a collection which includes personal items and pictures of Princes life. It is really interesting to learn about him as he took part to a large part of Polish history. Audio guide recommended. You need around 1 hour to tour yourself around.

Very nice from outside, but useless to enter. And the guardians also are quite strange...😅

Even though online on their own homepage, on Google and on on the sign infront of the building (see attached photo) it says they are open until 18:00, at 4pm I was not let in. Multiple people arrived after me having the same plan palace first as it closes at 5 and then the tin roofed one after. Very bad misinformation everywhere or just the lady didn't want to work anymore?

Breath-takingly gorgeous beyond all imagining. Intricate, one of a kind interior decor, architecture and art. Informative audio tour gives insight into royal activities, duties and policy-making of historical Polish monarchy.

Small but fancy palace! You will need 15 min max to see it inside. It has short opening days - Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
